    No pre-shows?

No pre shows is the reason I tell people who this will bea once in a lifetime trip to not go right now. For veterans we know what used to be there for a preshow so the rides still make sense but for someone who has never been before not having the preshows will give them a completely different...

    Virtual line for Hagrid’s

When we were there a little over a week ago the initial times were random between 8 and 9am and it was luck of the draw if you checked at exactly the right moment. The 11,2 and 4 releases all happened between 1 and 2 minutes past the hour. For those you need to be on your phone and constantly...

    City Walk Recommendations

Wherever you decide make sure you make reservations well in advance. I was there last week and most citywalk restaurants were not taking walkups and reservations for dinner timeslots were booked solid fir a few weeks out.

    Impossible virtual queue at Haggards?

Just tried again at the 4pm. At 4:02 it opened up asking me how many in my party and then showed 3 open times. As soon as I clicked on a time it said it was no longer available. I refreshed again and it went back to the same no reservations available message. I guess it just wasn’t meant to...

    Walkup dining at Citywalk?

To follow-up if you want to eat at toothsome the only way is with a reservation. I tried going at 5pm last night and they no longer take walkups. The only reservation I could get is for mid afternoons. They diddnt have anything availablefor the next week after 2pm.

    Impossible virtual queue at Haggards?

Ok, what am I missing? I’m at universal today and have been trying since the park opened at 9 am to get into the virtual queue at haggards and not a single spot has been open. I tried right at 9, 11 and 2 and a number of times i between. The park is not at capacity today. Is the only way to...

    Car rental crowds/selection question

Just picked up our car from budget yesterday around 5pm. We had almost no wait at the rental counter and there were lots of cars in the garage. The dollar and sixty counters had moderate lines but nothing crazy for this time of year. If you haven’t bought park tickets yet try getting them...

    Walkup dining at Citywalk?

We are staying offsite down by animal kingdom. Not really interested in eating in the park itself as the park closes at 6 and I don’t want to eat at 4:30 or give up an hour and a half of park time to eat dinner. I was just more wondering if walkuos were still allowed at city walk or if it’s...

    Walkup dining at Citywalk?

We are heading down to Florida for a combined Disney/Universal trip next week and I am wondering about eating dinner at citywalk after the parks close at 6. We would love to eat at Toothsome one night but I just checked and using the online system there isn't a single reservation for 3 people...

    April 11-13th

Rarely in Florida does it rain in one spot for an entire day. The weather patterns there tend to make it so you only get passing showers when it does rain. It's also possible for it to be raining north or south of you and it be perfectly sunny where you are. I wouldn't worry about it. You...

What is the etiquette re: lines?

I agree with most of the comments here. If it is just one person catching up with their group or a kid (not teenager) who had to stop for a bathroom or other break I have no problem with it. When a group of 5 or 10 adults or teenagers decide to try to cut the line to catch up with one or two...

Is there an advantage to stay onsite anymore?

Uber is always an option for those days when your group doesn’t all want to stay together. A few Uber rides are still going to be way cheaper than an onsite stay.

Is there an advantage to stay onsite anymore?

We have done onsite only twice in the past 13 trips over 20 years. I just can’t make the cost benefit of staying onsite work. We are going for 10 days in April and have a 3 bedroom condo in Windsor hills for $1200 all in with taxes and fees. I can’t even get the cheapest single room at Disney...

Has anyone actually preferred Disney World during Covid/masking?

I also forgot to mentio that with fast pass gone thereis no more waiting in the standby line that looks short but takes forever because a hundred people with fast passes just walked up to the ride. Buzz and Space mountain were always a crapshoot for how long you would wait in standby. It was...

Has anyone actually preferred Disney World during Covid/masking?

I love the fact that I don’t have to preplan every detail of the trip. With fast pass gone it’s back like the old days where you can stroll around the park deciding what rides to go on based on the size of the line. Too long just come back later. I hated all the pre planning needed for fast...

    Direct Flights to Orlando

Two things, I am not sure if Orlando is functioning as a full international airport right now or not. Many airports in the US have curtailed or eliminated their international arrivals due to the need to staff customs and immigrations and the associated international terminals. There may be no...

SW Email - Flight update—the middle seats may be occupied.

I just flew southwest last week. I got that same email about my first leg to Baltimore. The plane was full except for 25 seats. I ended up in a full row. With that being said everyone wore masks unless they were eating or drinking. The flight attendants were pretty good at asking those who...

    April 2021 Car Rental Thread

If you somehow haven't bought tickets yet the UT rental car deal is awesome. We bought tickets last month through them but didn't do a rental car at the time since we were still figuring out flights. I e-mailed customer service as suggested above and they gave me a link to use for the...

    April 2021 Car Rental Thread

you also need to do it the same time you buy tickets through them. We bought tickets from UT and figured we would add a car later after we checked other sites. Nope, once the tickets are bought you can no longer get the deal. It only works if you also have tickets in your cart.

    Uber/Lyft

I'm seriously considering using uber/lyft for our trip in April. We will be there for 10 days and between a $400 rental car and $25 a day in parking fees I can uber a whole lot of places for $650. We are staying off-site at windsor hills and a quick look a ride guru the cost to and from the...
