    Covid Changed Me

Nurses have literally giving their all through this, and often paid the price. As an Army wife, I know that "thank you for your service" is often lip service, so I am not going to say that. I will say thank you for being the kind of person you are-one that gives of themselves that others may...

    Classic Philosophy Question

No, it doesn't. It makes sound waves but unless they are processed by ears there is no sound. Thank you Dr Takai who taught my philosophy class mumblemumble years ago.

    Pop Century with a ECV?

We had 2 in our Pop room last Feb and will again next Feb with both beds down. There is space between the Table bed and the window for one. We puled the other one straight in, but I am not sure how well that would work in a regular room because the layout is a little bit different than the...

COVID State of Emergency - Lifted for Orange County?

Where did you find that statistic? The one I found shows only 6 states with higher per capita. (keeping my fingers crossed that you are right and I am wrong) https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109004/coronavirus-covid19-cases-rate-us-americans-by-state/ (edited for bad typing)

    Are you a re-ride rider?

You can still ride a ride more than once, you just have to wait in line for it rather than getting multiple fastpasses ( the new lightning lane). Disney isnt stopping you from riding more than once, they are just saying you already got the short line for it once today, it is someone else's turn.

Military Salute 2022… where are you?

I broke down and bought the discounted MYW tickets last week. I keep seeing the crowd level projections going up and wanted to make sure we got park reservations for February. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for room discounts.

Christmas music, when does it start in your house?

When I am alone or with only my youngest it starts Nov 1 (although she usually starts in her room in June or July). When my Husband is around I am forced to wait until Black Friday.

    sublimation

I make things for family and friends, I am not in the health to actually make and sell things because my ability to do things changes day to day. This is fun and relaxing for me.

Is AK backpedaling into the 50th?

I am very grateful to the people that see DAK as a half day park. This ensures that there is more space and less rush on all the trails. I am happy to move to the side and allow people to pass, but I love the slow relaxing and educational aspects of DAK. I always schedule that day a few days...

    Where to order shirts

I am plus size so for myself I usually get the ones from Walmart. I can get a variety of colors, sleeve length, and necklines for between 5 and 7 each if I watch. For my family I usually stock up of Gilden (sp?) shirts from Michaels when they go on sale for $3 each.

    EVC and RotR

In February I stayed on my scooter all the way to the ride vehicle. I think I maybe had to walk 8-10 feet.

    My Elderly Mother…

Excellent!! I was going to recommend renting a go-go transportable since you are going to be driving to the parks, but if she has her own, that is even better. My scooter is one of the best investments I have ever made and has allowed me to do so much more than I could before.

What rides and attractions are a mask required on ride or queue? List?

We got Memory Maker when we went in February and it was worth every penny! It marked an important time in history and I have definitely included shots in my genealogy. When my great grandchildren see those pictures I want it to be a teaching moment for them as the pictures of ancestors in the 18...

    Two Scooters, one party

That is awesome! Next time we go for breakfast we can ride the skyliner instead of driving and getting lost in a cast only area!

    Two Scooters, one party

If you have done Riviera with a scooter before you may know the answer to this better than I do, but I thought the Riviera skyliner station doesn't have the ability to stop so you may have to go to CB to ride that. Doing Pop with two scooters is easy with the skyliner, one of us is just a few...

Completely clueless on Scooter/DAS Tips and Advise Please!

Most rides she will be able to take the scooter all the way through the line, and most will allow her to bring it as close to loading as she needs to and a cast member will move it to the exit while she is on the ride. Lines that can't take scooters will loan you a wheelchair to push her...

Horrible Experience Booking ADR's this morning (09/13)

The hour later thing can be an issue, but they have always been able to find me what I want, and usually close to if not exactly the time I want. They have magic in their fingers that I just don't have. I understand the not talking on the phone thing, I know people who feel the same way. Me on...

Please PRAY for this little boy, an uncomprehensible tragedy

I think why Americans jump to suing is because of the medical system here and the need to pay for care beyond what the families insurance will cover, if they have insurance. Hill-Burton helps in some cases, but not in all so go fund me and suing is often the only way to avoid bankruptcy and get...
