SAB is not going to be open during the opening phase. You made a good choice going with BWV...the community hall, feature pool, sports courts are all expected to be open. No, I just called when I read on here about the June 21st date and saw on DFB Guide on Youtube they were allowing changes to reservations on or before June 21st.
My best guess (I am in no way 100% sure of this) is that you would have to pay the difference. I would have had to pay an increase if I went with a 1 bedroom villa.
YAY!! Hooray!! I haven't read that yet, but it does make a lot of sense. Thanks!
We have stayed at BWI many, many times. It is actually our preferred hotel. I had read BC DVC was slightly better than BW DVC (who knows how accurate that is) so I initially thought I would stay there. And contrary to others, the Clown Pool doesn't bother us. I personally like the Keister Coaster better than slide at Stormalong Bay.
Love that they are having mask free areas. I think people will need that in the heat/humidity.
SWEET!!! I typically will spend the tiny extra (usually equates to $30 more per visit) to get a garden view. My dd loves mornings on the balcony while I am still getting ready and the parking lot view just doesn't have the same relaxing atmosphere.
Well, not anyone. If you have AP attached to a room reservation in that period you are excluded from rebooking. And I still don't know why. Hopefully when/if Disney responds to my Guest Services email about it we might know why.
So basically we can keep our reservation dates while parks are closed, get refunded for our tickets and get upgraded from ASSp to a DVC for free?Just received this communication from the TA emails:

Seems to be what they’re saying. So basically we can keep our reservation dates while parks are closed, get refunded for our tickets and get upgraded from ASSp to a DVC for free?
Just got this email about my June 24-27 free dining recovery package at ASMo. Looks like they’re not going to move people with closed resorts to open ones unless you choose to pay.

wait so they are going to take my club room at poly and upgrade/move me to a dvc club room is that what you mean?Seems to be what they’re saying.
SAB is not going to be open during the opening phase. You made a good choice going with BWV...the community hall, feature pool, sports courts are all expected to be open.
Club amenities won’t be available from what I read.wait so they are going to take my club room and upgrade me to a dvc club room is that what you mean?
so do I get a refund for that portion I'm assuming?Club amenities won’t be available from what I read.
I doubt it. The only DVC club level rooms are at AKL Jambo. Jambo is the only DVC resort that is not expected to open with the rest of them.wait so they are going to take my club room and upgrade me to a dvc club room is that what you mean?
Actually, look like they will move people for free if they keep the dates...meaning go before parks open.
People paying are rebooking their trips to later dates, That is different.
ok but I can't remember the premium I paid for the club I assume they give me a credit or something no?I doubt it. The only DVC club level rooms are at AKL Jambo. Jambo is the only DVC resort that is not expected to open with the rest of them.
I would assume so as well but honestly, I don’t have any clients booked during this time (only myself and not til July 21) so I’ve not been in communication with Disney about any of this.so do I get a refund for that portion I'm assuming?
I don't think they would confirm if your resort is closed no? maybe that happens when you confirm the computer or rep would assign you to that new hotel and offer you some price of a difference (this is my assumption) maybe give it to you gratis or discounted too.My guess is if you don’t change your dates and when you arrive your resort is closed they will put your name in a hat and pull out a random resort you’ll have no say in which one and if you make changes you’ll have to pay the difference. The computer probably knows how many rooms it has and as they need to open more resorts they will
