    DCL and R-Rated Movies

I know of at least one time in which an R-rated movie was shown onboard. I sailed in 2011 after Fright Night was released. (looking at my previous sailings, I'm guessing it must have been on the Dream over Halloween.) I recall it only being shown late night and listed as an Adult activity. I...

    Zoom calls

I used both Zoom and another server-based video chat service on the Wish maiden voyage sailing. Both calls were video. The server-based video chat stream only had 2 other people on our call and the connection held up fine. The Zoom call was for an improv audition and there were 8 or 9 other...

Would you consider DCL's menus too American?

I'll admit this thread title made me chuckle as I remembered an incident from a previous sailing (IIRC, it was 2019 WBPC on the Wonder). A few sea days into the cruise, and right around when Cabanas closed to switch from breakfast service to lunch, I encountered a woman carrying a bowl of...

    Pearl Castaway level?

Just looking at the Princess Cruise Line website (since it was presented as an example in this thread), I see that they used a 10-day cruise as the average length for calculating their "cruise day" alternative milestone. So using that conversion rate, it would be comparable for Disney to set...

    Period supplies

I highly recommend packing whatever you think you may need supply-wise, with a cushion of extras. I don't know if travel stress is to blame, but I've had cycle irregularities interrupt many a vacation. And while the gift shop/medical center/restroom dispensers may come through in a pinch...

Room service menu from those who have sailed recently

When I sailed on the Wish MV, the room service menu had a couple of Pides (Turkish flatbreads) on it instead of those flatbreads -- a spinach and feta pide, and a lamb and beef pide. I ordered the spinach and feta one and it was amazing -- arrived hot, fresh, and with the perfect cripiness to...

Back from 4 nights on the WISH

I was on the 7/14 MV sailing, and there was indeed Orchard's Best (aka POG) in Marceline Market. It was only loaded into a few of the juice dispensers, though, so I had to do some exploring to find it.

Disney Wish Food Is A Letdown?

I never did get to try Donald's Cantina. I had breakfast in/from Marceline's 4 out of 5 of the mornings (usually just before they closed). I love the Asian-inspired station at breakfast with the congee and custom toppings. I also really liked the little charcuterie boards of smoked fish. At...

Anyone have Food Photos from the Wish?

I ordered these items off the room service menu on the Wish MV. The tomato soup automatically includes the paired grilled cheese sandwich. The other item is the spinach & feta pide (Turkish flatbread) and it was AMAZING. It arrived hot and fresh and even had a great crust.

Anyone else not a fan of the Wish dining themes?

Even before the shows began, whenever I walked into Worlds of Marvel and Arendelle I felt like I was about to eat in an attraction building queue preshow room. They really felt to me like extensions of the parks. Now, for me that wasn't necessarily a bad thing -- particularly for a short...

Wish Dining -How Do We Fit It All In?

I dined in Enchante on night #1 of the MV sailing. I prefer second seating for MDR, so I just made my Enchante reservation for 6pm. I dined solo, so even though I opted for the "Collection" tasting menu, I was done shortly before my 8:15 dining time in Worlds of Marvel restaurant. At WoM, I...

    Disney Wish WIFI plans

Reporting back after the Wish MV -- On Day 1 (at least until we left port), I discovered I was able to access the internet while on airplane mode connected to DCL-GUEST wifi and before I had actually signed up for a package. As it turned out, I was offered a later audition slot (night #4), so...

Know Before You Go Updated - May 17 - Testing rule changes

Oh, looks like I'm going to be a test case. I opted for the Inspire Diagnostics proctored home test option for Thursday's Wish MV sailing, and took a 12:15am ET Tuesday appt (as in 20 minutes after 11:55pm on Monday). Both I and Port Canaveral are located in that ET time zone.

    Disney Wish WIFI plans

I'm so glad to hear it! I was scheduled for an audition over zoom and it's unfortunately the first night of my cruise. :(

Disney Wish Worlds of Marvel Show video

Well, if you watch the whole video, you do see the supersized "desserts" in the dining room at the end. At 12:17 in the video above.

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Thanks, @Dan Murphy ! I'd let my AP lapse about 5 years ago, so Swolphin stays became far less frequent. And now over the last couple of years I've become much busier with improv and other comedy stuff.

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

Picabu is a sort of hybrid location operating as both a convenience store and a fast casual location. My previous experience with the AAA discount at Picabu is that the discount only applied to the "food/beverage" items, and did not apply to the "convenience store" items. So items like packaged...

STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

I find your claim interesting, considering the project's Creative Director was recently accepted into the Main Company for one of the most highly regarded narrative improv theatres. There's certainly high quality talent behind this project.
