I agree with this. One of the things weāve lost with everything becoming āinternationalā or āglobalistā is regionalism. I hate going to London and seeing Starbucks. And I love starbucks. App is on my phone with over 700 points right now. I love going different places and doing new things, but nowadays everything is starting to seem the same. Most American cities are very similar now in a lot of ways. And globally things are becoming very similar. So while I like options and see the value in having Indian food, which Iām actually not a fan of - sorry-, or Mexican food, which I like a lot, itās also nice to have āAmericanā food from the 90s.My short answer is no.
My longer answer - it's an American cruise line It's also a family cruise line. I think there's a good balance of "safe" foods that kids will actually eat, plus somewhat more interesting dishes for adults. Is it the most adventurous food you're going to find? Of course not. Do I enjoy it? Yup. I'm not booking Disney for adventurous or gourmet food. (also, my husband's response was "go eat off the ship if you want more international fare" so I guess that's an option too)
And I imagine if you are not American or coming from Europe or Asia or wherever and you go on dcl, I imagine you like seeing all the āweirdā American food. Kind of like if you fly Lufthansa or whatever foreign airline it is fun to see their local snacks.
