Looking forward to stretching my legs at Jacksonville in about an hour. Hoping our DVC room at Poly is ready when I get there - I'd like to get in one more run before the races this weekend and before DW arrives tonight.

I've been watching availability on the DVC resorts and they've been full so it's doubtful you will get an early room, but good luck anyway. But, you should be able to check in, leave your luggage and use the showers and changing rooms and otherwise get your run in.

In the midst of all the general chatter, I think my credit card related post got lost? I am wondering if I could get some feedback on experiences with Citi. I am looking to apply my husband for one of their cards in the next month or two. It is a targeted offer that we got in the mail. Neither of us has any Citi cards yet. He has a credit score of 780. Here is his credit history:

Bank of America BankAmericard - 01/2018
Chase Ink Cash - 03/2018
Chase IHG - 03/2018
Chase Ink Unlimited - 2/2019
American Express Bonvoy Business - 10/19

Any feedback is really appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry no experience with Citi personal cards....hopefully someone who has can help....

Question about SW companion pass and travel to Hawaii.

We are hoping to go to Hawaii in Sept. 2021. It is currently 2 adults, 1 kid, but we are hoping that it will be 2 adults, 2 kids by then, so we would need 4 tickets. I am thinking that the cheapest way to get there will be to have both myself and DH get the companion pass, then pay for our tickets in points and then use the CPs to bring each of the kids for free. Does anyone know if they allow you to use a companion pass for a child under age 2? We always purchase a seat and use our car seat on planes, even for infants. We have a strict no lap baby policy for our family.

Also, what do you think the best timing would be to apply for cards to obtain the CP? I am thinking right at the start of 2021 so that we get the pass for all of 2021 and 2022?

ok. in the midst of my SWA scramble this am I barely noticed that P2's CIP bonus hit! So I went back in to check acct.... I haven't hit the spend yet! what is happening? according to my acct page,I checked all payment made which = $4484- counting various returns (about $5-600 worth) it's even farther away...has this happened to anyone else? it surprised me to see the points already since I know I won't hit MSR for a couple of weeks....

Lol wow. I get made fun of at my gym because I don’t understand people’s references but they’re all older than me. I have one instructor that picks on me during her entire class and it’s so funny. It doesn’t bother me or anything but I really don’t know half the people or things she talks about.

I had a professor in college who LOVED to joke that he had socks older than me. But 26 IS sooo young, I mean now that I'm 43, and have a 14yo, LOL. But at the same time, the exbf is 32....lol!

To be honest I've never had a "hard" bday. I think because by all the milestone bdays I had more than "met" "expectations".

LOL my kids told me 11+ years ago that anyone using FB was "OLD".....actually my oldest child informed me that as soon as 'old people' start using a social media platform, the kids start using something else. B/c it's 'ruined' now. :rotfl: I believe him,and I have no real interest in the never ending social media choices that 'kids' are using.....

I have them all but tik tok. Some I do for both personal and school. I wish flipping snapchat allowed you to switch accounts like twitter and instagram do! Instead I have to fully log in and out, which is annoying! The others let you just click between accounts. I think teaching HS keeps me in the loop w/ all this stuff. Which is GREAT as a parent of a now freshman, LOL. She hates it, LOL.

sounds about right, and you can use cp for anyone for a seat, any age.

Southwest flights are LIVE!!!!!
DONE! and I got ALL the tickets on points. 6 tickets PLUS a companion pass.

I'm so excited I was able to cover my mother and sister. I would have liked slightly better times for the flights, but they're not the worst. I also was somewhat in panic mode while booking, worried that the price would go up before I finished, so I booked 5 tickets together and just got early-bird boarding on all of them. I didn't see an option to just get it on some. Then when I booked my sister, I figured since I was able to cover her on points, I'd throw it in for her too. Which is fine really, less stress that way, but probably not necessary.

Now my question - In my haste I didn't add TSA pre-check numbers for my sister or DH. Do I have to call to add these or can I do it online somewhere?

Glad you are enjoying the ride. I read a horrible review not too long ago on the Amtrak food. I was hoping it was just one person venting a personal gripe.

They changed the food as of October 1. The old food wasn't the best, but some of it was legitimately very good - and not just in a good-for-a-train/plane kind of way - but it's looking just awful now. Most people believe this is the half step before the dining car is removed completely.

I'm not sure if that picture attached correctly from my phone, but that's the surf and turf from the old menu. The crab cake was clearly frozen and reheated but it wasn't bad. The steak was fresh cooked and quite good. All that is gone now, sadly.

Just booked our SW return trip back from Cancun to PVD. Had to transfer 17k points from a CSR which was a bummer since we will have a boatload of SW points in a couple of months but at least we have a return trip booked now... At least all of us do except for DD8. If we don't get her CP in time she isn't coming lol.

Looks like you can do it online, when I look at the conf page I have an option to add it under each name one the reservation. I added mine during the booking process tho.

Edit: I take that back, I can add "Secure Traveler Information" it says "Known Traveler # On file" so not sure if you can add that after, I added it when booking.

Edit2: Looking at DD single ticket I do not have an option to add it online, but she is a minor so not sure if that plays into things, I had to prove I had a ticket when booking her ticket separate because I want to cancel that one when I get the CP if there are seats left.

You can add them later. I added DH's number about a week before our SW flight last month and he still got pre-check roundtrip.

Who else on here was going for the Simple bank bonus? I'm about to sign up for the account.....Seems like an easy $500 and you can earn interest while it sits :)

Not really sure what you are asking......but from a credit history point of view - I don't see a problem. Citi can be inquiry sensitive, but the only issue might be the inquiry for the last card as it was so recent, but more would depend on overall length of credit history and credit utilization.

I have certainly been approved for Citi cards with far more recent inquiries than your husband has.

Yes, this is the kind of feedback that I am looking for. Thanks.

His length of credit history isn't particularly long because he moved to the US from Canada in 2015 and I added him as an AU to one of my cards late that year. He wasn't able to obtain a card in his name until 2016, so he only really has 4 years of credit history. Utilization is currently in the good range.

Ok - I can relate to that as I moved here from the UK. I obtained my first Citi credit card two years after moving here. I should add though that I also had a checking account with Citibank so I don't know how much difference that might have made.

My CIP bonus hit before my MSR was met less than a month ago. I was less than $100 away, but I don't remember if I had any returns included or not.
