Hilton Honors FN Certificate DP and update...
Thanks to @Lain and others who told me to call Hilton directly because they can see the FN Cert before you get the email. For some DP, I got the 130K points deposited on 9/29. I still have not received the email BUT when I called today (a little over 4 weeks after the points) it was there!!! I was so excited and when I was checking Tokyo Conrad award availability (I had almost given up on Tokyo Conrad because there hasn't been a room available for weeks so I was going to use the FN for another trip), there happened to be a standard room available. I was able to book Tokyo Conrad! The representative was telling me it was the last standard room they had! This community has been so helpful. Thank you!!!

My friend stayed at the Conrad in Tokyo last month and says it's fabulous and really something special. Enjoy!

Yeah but people act like it’s hard. “I don’t have FB and it’s impossible that I get an account“. What? Just sign up. I didn’t have FB until a good friend had twins prematurely and I knew she was posting pictures of them. My dad was on hospice so I didn’t have time to talk or email with her frequently so I signed up for FB to keep up when I had time. I signed up for Twitter because there was some contest on there and I won some stuff so it worked out. Then Marriott gave points on Twitter, and I have tweeted at multiple companies who are slow to respond and gotten results. I do read some stuff on Twitter and follow some people, though I don’t check there every day. It’s not a big commitment.
I have twitter but the only thing I do on it is read/watch tweets from my favorite hockey team. We don’t have tv so I keep up with what’s going on in the games that way

Let’s go Astros!!!!

Anyone else watching the World Series? I am on my phone anxiously half-watching the game with my dad and DH. Posting here so I don’t get too crazy this early in the game.

I also wanted to share that I got a 10% off coupon for getting a shot at Randall’s today. I got two shots for $0 with insurance and two 10% off coupons for my trouble. Sadly not valid for gift cards or my 12 pack of Karbach, but it will probably be useful for holiday food shopping.

Just turned it on. But sorry, this Mariners fan is rooting for the Nats. Now the M's are sadly the only team that hasn't been to thr WS. 42 seasons but it's cool, we like rebuilding :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's on here. I actually have a cat that is an Astros fan. She will sit and watch them play, but if it's other teams she has no interest at all.

DH grew up an Astros fan. My first MLB game was the Nats first season at their new stadium (had to pick DH up from work for some reason and he worked right by the stadium so we just decided to go on a whim since we were all right there). I could be happy either way it goes, but it'd be much better in my house if Astros take it back.

Yes, watching and rooting for the Stros!

Sitting in the lounge drinking water and watching the game. I'd have liked a snack but there's nothing I want and/or like. Was hoping for bottled juice like last year but it's mini cans of pop so I at least took one I'll drink later in the week. Today is my no caffine day unless it's in chocolate.

Super tired so I'm hoping I can stay asleep on the plane. Was able to grab an emergency exit row seat last night and I brought ear plugs to use instead of listening to movies to drown out the sound.

Several kids in here but all are well behaved. Pretty crowded too.

That is so cute! Maybe it’s the orange uniforms? I have no idea if my cats are sports fans...we don’t have cable, I am at my folks’ for sporting events. Their dog and cat couldn’t care less.

This game is stressing me out!

I wish the Astros could have wrapped it up tonight but had a feeling we'd see a game 7 in this series.

Hey it’s not over yet! We can get...6 more runs in this last inning right?

(I’m not upset too much because my DH will have tomorrow night off for Game 7 so that would be nice)

Edit: well that was a nice thought

Top life tip: Target Good and Gather Pulled Pork is BBQ sauce and fat. Literally chunks of fat with some scraps of meat. No intention of buying anything else from this new brand of theirs. Good thing there are leftovers in the fridge tonight 😠
Had to buy the "Good and Gather" baby carrots since they stopped carrying the prior brand that we loved with the "petite" baby carrots. Lots of "deformed" and mangled ones.

So far I am not pleased with the changes at Target. Our store is FINALLY done with its remodel. The produce section is pretty with its fake wood beams but it makes the rest of the store (which was fine before) look worse by comparison.

And they've stopped carrying some specific items that I always go there for. I'm spending more of my grocery money at a locally owned chain lately.

I picked up two dozen Good & Gather eggs on a recent Target run. The price was really good at just $1.99, compared with Costco which sells two dozen eggs for over $3. Well, I’d say half of the G&G eggs had weak egg yolks that broke apart once cracked. I thought maybe it was a fluke and the price point had me picking up another carton of G&G eggs. Same thing happened. So that makes me think the chickens that these eggs are coming from aren’t being raised in very good conditions, or the eggs aren’t being processed or stored well. Not impressed.

That's odd. Our eggs at Fred's/kroger large size eggs we get are generall 1.99 for a dozen and we don't have issues. Unless I'm reading it wrong and it was 2 dozen for 1.99 which we'd only get when the eggs go on sale for 99 cents once in awhile.

Also I never thought of yolks being weak.

On the plane. It's full, lots of kids and the winds different this trip cause it'll be 5.5 hours flying time.

Time to finish reading flight girls (so good) and then sleep.

How do you screw up eggs?!!

But we’re CA. Our chickens get more room in their cages. I remember because we literally voted on a statewide prop for it :D A dozen eggs for 1.99 is a deal.

I could not love this ANY more and you made my night too. Hello all you lovely Budget Board people. @DeborahU and her Hawaii magic just pulled me back out of lurkdom.:) So nice to see you all again. I've been busy with a new addition to our family. This is Toby Tarley. How is everybody?View attachment 448673
Is Toby Tarley a Havanese? He's beautiful. Enjoy your new addition.
