Hi Everyone - I was wondering - does anyone have the Tiki Pooh Panel? I am looking for the little scrap that is actually the visual of what it looks like together - its located on the lower right of the panel I think, and is maybe 6-8 inches tall - it has all 4 characters stacked like a tiki. If anyone has seen this or has the scrap I'd love to buy it!! I'd love to put that on jeans!!

Thanks, Wendy

scott took the kids to the zoo an hour ago and I am already done with outfit #1.
This is a new little nautical outfit for nicholas!

Ohh I LOVE all this fabric!!! I too am soooo jealous of your Dr. Seuss fabric!!! Ohhhh how come all the fabric I love is sooooooooooooooo expensive or non-existant????
:confused3

Have you started making anything with the Dr. Seuss stuff yet??? I hope so, 'cuz I wanna see pictures!!!

I am cutting it tonight!!! WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared:

I love the lmtd too copy! Do you ever feel like your being robbed when you pay there? Seriuosly!!!!!! I was paying a while back and the lady paying next to me spent $200 all on tank tops!:scared1: It took all of my self control not to look at her and ask her if she had ever heard of Target???? They look exactly the same! We have a few lmtd too tank tops if we needed a specific color and they were super on sale, but $200 all at once!?!?!?!

I like the Buzz!:thumbsup2 It looks like there is some purple in there. Maybe you could get a purple gingham and add a little underskirt or something? I love purple and brown/green together.

I only 'shop' Limited too when I have a coupon. DD8 wanted a new bathing suit and I had a 25% off coupon - it's still going to cost $30 for a bathing suit and that's not bad. I always shop at Target and hello the HM clothes are at Walmart right now!! So the best clothes aren't always at the name brand shops. If you live in MA there's going to be a Limited too opening up at the Wrentham Outlets on May 10!

I like your dea of the gingham under the skirt! I was just looking at the scallop pattern and I had purchased some tulle for the HM pink fabric in blue, pink and purple that I didn't use. Maybe Buzz will be scalloped with pea green underskirt with purple and blue tulle between! This is starting to sound good! You guys are the best!!!:lovestruc

Well I'm actualy going to do some sewing today - Izzy (DD3y) asked me to make her a "party dress" now I'm not sure if she is actually saying pretty dress or party dress but she went into my fabric stash and pulled out the fabric she wanted - ladybugs :) so I've just washed, dried and pressed it. Now to figure out what to do with it:confused3

She is going to kindy/preschool this afternoon so I'm hoping to have it all done for her when she gets home (as long as grumpy bum Em (DD1y) is being nice)

I'm loving that dr seuss fabric - we love dr. Seuss in this house and read at least one dr. seuss book a day. Both my girls favourite stories from when they were nb to now is "hop on pop" :) My aunty even made my girls a playmat quilt with "one fish, two fish" appliqued onto it :lovestruc Love that quilt

And someone asked about making different sizes from the patterns - I trace my patterns (the ones I've actually used) onto interfacing in the size I need so I'm not actually cutting the pattern.

I have links to just about any pattern you could want in the bookmarks. There are several pillowtop dress ones there. Are you planning on making one with one of the pillowcases or just making it with

Will the pillowtop dress big too big for her, she's tiny. I thought maybe she would be too small. I think it would cut off part of the picture. I'll have to go look at the pattern.

I know what you all mean about "normal" clothes not cute enough either!

That is the whole reason that I do this!

Once they get out of the "toddler" area in the dept. stores, it seems as if the clothing was made for "tweens".

I guess I am "old fashioned", but I still want my little girl to look like a little girl, and not a "hoochie mama!":rotfl:

Amen to that. I remember my niece with low rider jeans on at age 3 :scared1: I yelled at my brother and he didn't know what they were but her godmother bought those for her and my brother yelled at his wife and told her not to let her wear those type of jeans anymore and guess what she still does.

This is my BIG project for the weekend. I bought a $20 folding lawn chair with a canopy, used a dremel tool to cut the bolts that held the canopy on. I went to Home Depot and bought some new bolts, spacers, washer and wing nuts. Then Chris helped me drill out the holes a bit bigger and we reassembled the canopy on the wheelchair. We can take it off fairly easily since we used wing nuts :thumbsup2

I added the front scalloped edge with a bit of a Disney touch to make it look like it belongs to a 5 year old. It needs a little fun don't you think.

This morning I set out to build a rain cover for it. This is what I came up with.

I'm happy to have this project completed. One more thing that I can check off my to do list :cool1:

very ingenous and impressive. I have a hard time looking at the future possibilities of things sometimes

Lori- Love the summer wear! My cousin just had a baby boy. I am going to need some advice on Jon Jon's. :)

My3Princes- That canopy is fantastic!! It is very cute and functional. It looks great!

I am working on my outfits for Ohano's. Here is the babies outfit. Funny this pattern was brought up a couple of days ago. I could not figure out the button thing to save my life. LOL I think I worked on that for about an hour. Then it dawned on me.

My older daughter is getting a very ruffled outfit. I was going to do capris and a shirt but she is my dress girl. I cut her dress first and did not have enough fabric to do the same for the baby. That is why I ended up doing this one. I am pretty happy with the way it came out.

I'm impressed with all the new projects. I'm tired just seeing what you have all made :goodvibes The things that you "whip Up" are just amazing.

I don't have a sewing room so I decided to organized my supplies. JoAnn's had thread cases and such on sale. I ended up organizing my thread, bobbins and misc stuff that I had been stuffing into my machine case :scared1: I feel much better about it now. I also removed a bunch of screws and was able to totally clean the lint out of my machine. I couldn't believe how much had built up. I need to grab some oil and give it a good oiling and it will be as good a new :thumbsup2

How often do you guys clean and oil your machines?

VERY cute, Steph!! I hope Megan is feeling better today.

I'm sorry I didn't see your post before you went, it's all my fault it didn't go well, because my fingers were not crossed for you!
It's okay.

These are so adorable!!

It's so pretty! I love that daisy trim!

That is gorgeous, I can't wait to see the one you make!

Wow, this looks great!!!

I wish I did--but Katrina destroyed a lot of pictures--now there's just memories. I wish we had digital cameras back then!

I'll see if my daughter can mail me a copy of one of the pics and scan it.
 How sad that you lost all of your pictures. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you.

Guess where we ate lunch today?? Burger King!!! I saw a commercial for the Cabbage Patch Kids in the Kids Meals, and I told the girls we were going! They are pretty cute!!
Yeah, but did you get up and do the Cabbage Patch, like the mom in the commercial?

What a bunch of great stuff! I really love the brightly colored Valentine's Day outfit, it's so different!

Way to go, Riley! :cheer2: She did a great job!!!

Oooh, an action pose! I love it!
Adorable new avatar, Tom!
What a sweet little outfit!!

I've got that Buzz Lightyear fabric, too. I'm planning on making a button-up shirt or Sawyer with it. Maybe you could just add some white in with the brown and green fabrics to brighten it up a little.

ok I am only on page 218 and there are some super awesome creations!! I was going to say "rad" but my dh looked over my shoulder and said "I think you are the only one in the world who still says rad anymore" ha! he made my change it.

SO...prove me wrong, doesn't anyone else say Rad, or am I REALLY the only one?
You're really the only one! ;) :rotfl2:

That's really cute! I like how the sailboat almost looks like a little smiley face.

Wow! You are so clever! It looks great and I love how you personalized it!

I love those fabrics together, great job!!

As you may have guesed from Teresa's comment earlier, my appointment with the new hematologist did NOT go well! It was a complete waste of my time. I got there and she starts looking at my chart on the computer and she asks "Did they ever find out why you had that super huge (yes she said super huge) blood clot in your portal vein?" I said "Because I have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome." She said "Oh!" She didn't even know what was wrong with me, or why I was there!!!!! She knew absolutely nothing about it, and just kept telling me "I think you'll be just fine." when I mentioned the extreme fatigue and sometimes excruciating pain I have in my muscles. When I left, I went out to my car and cried. She's the 4th doctor I've been to about this and none of them seem to think it's a problem for a 33 year old to have debilitating muscle pain, for days at a time, for no apparent reason. Okay, that was way more than you guys probably wanted to know. But, I'm really frustrated with the whole situation.

I can't remember who asked but I just posted a tutorial for decoupage jeans on the DISboutiquers board.

I finished Sawyer's Cars shirt this morning. It was the smallest pattern I could find in the style of shirt I liked, but it's still pretty big on him. He would not cooperate, so I didn't get any good pictures of him in it. But, I thought I'd share anyway. This is my first attempt at a button-up shirt, a collar, and a pocket.

He kept trying to take the shirt off and was coming over to me to take it off of him. I got lots of extreme close ups like this. So helpful:

Here's how the shirt looks when Sawyer throws a tantrum because he wants it off. In his defense, it was nap time.

I just bought this flower fabric in purple. I picked the pink and my DD traded it for the purple. I think we are going to have an all purple summer. I think I bought 6 purple fabrics in the last too days.

I got in some practice using patterns by sewing my dog's a new bed today. It took me about 7 hours and was really difficult at some points, but it's done. Our boy dog is named Bevo, after the Texas Longhorns mascot, hence the fabric choice.

It looks really small in this picture, but it's not that small.

These are all adorable!!!

Riley finished her first project on her new sewing machine today!

.

I am so proud of her. She was sooooo excited when she got them finished!

She's getting too old Denise!!! She is looking much too grown up! What a fantastic job she did on those pants! You should be proud, and so should she!

Here's a picture of the "whipped up" outfit I made Leigh today.

I made it extra twirly for her;)

Leigh says that this is "her pose!":goodvibes
th_smallerlrj.jpg

That is so cute!!! I was soooo close to buying some of that fabric yesterday! I love it!

and her pose is terrific!!!

Teresa- who is mk & ashleys cousin?? :confused3

In one of Marie Kate and Ashley's videos they went to the Mall of America with their cousin. My girls like to watch that video. I think it's called Mall Adventures or something ingenious like that!
So here's a post of the two new projects I'll be starting next week.
The first is a really cute top that I'm borrowing out of the Limited Too catalog. The blue top is $27 retail and my fabric combined in the blue and blue flowered total cost $8. Can't wait to finish is.

th_IMG_0172.jpg

This bottom fabric is my nightmare!!!:confused3 I don't know what DD5 was thinking about except that she LOVES:love: Buzz Lightyear. She wants a skirt and I thought I'd be able to pull out the light blue with some different fabrics, but she wanted the pea soup green? Again I don't know.:confused3 I think I'll do the basic three tier skirt because otherwise I'm going to be sick with the color. Any ideas?

She'll be popular with the boys in her class that's for sure!:hippie:

I made Lydia a Buzz outfit with the redondo style pattern, it turned out really cute. you could do that and put rick rack betwen the dark colors, or use three colors for it.

I'll be adding a tutorial for decoupage jeans to the DISboutiquers board. I also reposted my corset tutorial and added some photos of examples as well as how the corset can be used for the bodice of a dress.
Your first corset top tutorial is still bookmarked, but I will update it and add your decoupage jeans tutorial too. Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

I would really love it if you wrote up your applique tips again. They were great, and I haven't been able to locate them on Google.
Pretty please? :flower3:

SO...prove me wrong, doesn't anyone else say Rad, or am I REALLY the only one?
I never said it, so I'm no help. But, I'm SURE there is SOMEOME left out there that still says it though! :rotfl:

I guess it depends on how big your daughter is. If she is really tiny then you porbalby would lose some of the picture. That can look cute sometimes though.
