Okay, major stress. My new sewing machine is messed up. I think the timing is off. I just got it for Christmas (from Costco) so I took it back, but they don't carry it in the store anymore so I had to order a new one online (and pay $30 more dollars for it) :headache: :headache: :headache: so much for sewing this weekend! I may just have to undo my ruffler contraption (now that I think I finally got it optimized) and get to work on this baby:

This machine never breaks and is very fast and smooth. I just cant do much more than a straight stitch on it because the contraptions that go along with this thing make a ruffler foot look dainty!:rotfl:

Here is the latest thing I have made Lily. It is a sundress for summer, but she INSISTS on wearing it every day. I do need to move the (purely decorative) buttons higher though.

that # I think is wrong no outfit listed under it

Sorry! Ok, here is the official "title":

BWGC Boutique Custom Easter Bunny Euro Twirl CBD BCMM

Sorry I sent y'all on a wild goose chase!

If that title doesn't help, check the search
"Boutique Custom" and it's on the first page that pulls up.

I am so sorry about your new machine! My mother dreaded getting a new machine because, although she wanted the bells and whistles, she was afraid of durability issues because they just aren't built the same. I hope your new one comes soon.

Love the spring jumper with the daisy trim! It's so cute!

I was going to go to JoAnn's and take the kids to the Hannah Montana movie today but Megan has been fighting a cold and feels feverish. She is so cute, lying in my bed watching tv in her Jasmine costume with a minnie bow in her hair. I did redo two of her bows I have previously made (oh my, what a hot mess they were). Maybe I will get that St. Patrick's fabric I bought and figure out what to do with it.

Cute outfit on Lily!!!! Dang that girl is sweet!

OK, I 'm betting that Singger doesn't make that obnoxious POUNDING sound when it goes through more than 2 layers like my brother (from Costco too)

Teresa- SOS!!!! I'm trying to access the tutorial to do decoupage jeans on "the bookmarked links of bliss" and it won't allow me in! Don't they know who I am? ;) J/K!!!! It has the DIS boards official access denied post! ARGH!

This is what I get:

UtahMama, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Not Teresa, but is it because that thread is hidden? I don't think our original thread came back, so maybe we can't access posts from it.

I think you're getting that message because the instructions were a post from the original thread that STILL is not back. Until the powers that be here decide to finally do what they said they were going to do and bring the thread back in a locked form, EVERYTHING that was posted on that thread is gone. Never to be seen again. I may ask Lisa if she would mind doing a tutorial and posting it on the board I set up. The link is in my siggy if you would like to check it out.

I know what you all mean about "normal" clothes not cute enough either!

That is the whole reason that I do this!

Once they get out of the "toddler" area in the dept. stores, it seems as if the clothing was made for "tweens".

I guess I am "old fashioned", but I still want my little girl to look like a little girl, and not a "hoochie mama!":rotfl:

Wait until she is 10

We did get our new Justice catalog and I am so excited that bermuda shorts are back! Now DD will not have to wear capri's all summer.

My friend just got this machine. She was driving home and it was sitting in someones driveway with a sign on it that said FREE WORKS GREAT! So she picked it up. We live 1 minute away from each other- I wish I was just driving by and found a free sewing machine.

I also want to say I LOVE Lily's dress. I love polka dots. I am so excited all of the spring fabric is coming out. To bad it is freezing and my yard is covered in ice. On a nice note I did talk DH into building a fire for me so I am cleaning and painting with a roaring fire. Makes it a little more enjoyable.

This is what I am working on:

It is one of Katie’s birthday gifts. I am so excited to give it to her. I am using pink tulle, pink chenille, and pink taffeta. I am using a plain table I bought at Michael’s with two chairs. The chairs are not as fancy, but it is cute. I hope it turns out half as cute as the one in the picture.

I saw that on :wizard:. I LOVE it! I would love to have that for my DD's room. It is gorgeous!

This is freakin' adorable!
I can't wait to see the finished product!

I used up the fabric Camelotcats sent to me!
This is what I came up with:

I still have to finish the hem. I decided to use binding (I like the clean look of it) so I have to get to the store now to get it. I also have another one that I am doing for Julia. She will be 11 months when we go, so I am trying to figure out her size.
I'll take action shots later when Zofia feels like trying it on.

I think that is one of the big reason why I sew. I like my 6 year old to LOOK like a 6 year old. I am a little concerned though, I was looking at the size 7-14 patterns today and they looked way too grown up for my taste. I miss the 5T section!

I have a ???? for you experts. . .

Is embroidery thread cheaper at Wal-Mart or Jo-Ann's?? Or is it close enough not to worry about it??

Also, can you get Sulky tear-away at Wal-Mart, or is it JUST at Jo-Ann's??

TIA!

I miss 2 days and have to catch up on 20 pages :) Lots of reading and too many things to quote!

The outfits are all adorable as always :) I made it to JoAnns today, but only bought part of the things I wanted. I quite a few sale goodies. I am going back tomorrow for thread :)

Okay everyone, I finally started my TR but can not figure out how to put a link in my siggy. Help! TIA :rotfl: Nevermind! It worked this time! Okay, go check out my TR, yes I am shameless!

adoptionmomma: Love that table! It is gorgeous. It is so hard to keep it a secret when you are excited to give a gift!

Jham, that is so cute. YOur daughter is a cutie, too! I like the daisies, and it makes me wish for spring!

kstgelais4, that is a cute skirt. I have a question, when you make a patchwork skirt, do you finish all the seams on the inside? Does it take forever?

I finished the shirt I made Kenzie,

my applique attempt

And the outfit. I tucked in the shirt because I didn't like the ruffle. I think I may make her some bermudas to go with the shirt, too.
