My balance payment is due on the 20th of August. I called Disney yesterday to check what should I do. In my experience dinner in a nice restaurant on arrival day is not a good idea. Falling asleep over your plate is not exactly pleasant. We always go to a park. Epcot is our park of choice for the arrival day. Get some fast passes and enjoy rides (and you do not fall asleep on Soarin’).

Hoop Dee Doo is perfect for a birthday. Irrespective of age actually. There is a special "Happy Birthday" part of the show and the cast are very good with getting people involved.

You can get to SDMT before rope drop crowd if you eat really quickly at Cinderella's Royal Table. We have done it. Not a very good idea in my opinion as you can not enjoy your breakfast properly but doable.
