    Sweet 16 Birthday Treat

I asked this in the Teen thread, and got no response, so I thought I might try here. I'm considering taking everyone to Amorette's for desert on our trip instead of doing birthday cake. My daughter will be 16, and my grandson will be 2. Do they do anything special for birthdays, if you aren't...

    Amorette's or Birthday Cake

I'm toying with the idea of Amorette's one evening instead of a Birthday Cake for my daughter. We'll be visiting for her Sweet 16. She loves baking. I'm wondering if she might like this more than a birthday cake. Do they do anything special for birthdays there? Thoughts.

    Disney Daughter Sweet 16

Love the Tiara idea, she'd get a kick out of that. I'm sure I would have to refer to her as Her Highness throughout the day.... LOL

I thought about looking into that, but then I'm a bit concerned with the gator problem they have down there right now.

    Disney Daughter Sweet 16

My daughter wants to celebrate her birthday at WDW. So we decided that her Sweet 16 would be a great opportunity to surprise her. So now, I'm wondering what else I can do to make it awesome? We've done the Hoop Dee Doo, Wishes Desserts, Cinderella's Table. So I'd like to find some type of new...

    Group Activities like Magical Gathering

I know Disney discontinued the Grand Gatherings a few years ago. Does anyone know if they still have any type of magical gatherings for large groups?

Night of Joy Share September 12, 2015

OK, so here is all of the info I've gathered. Tickets are regularly priced at $69.23, including tax. If we can get 11 people total, then we can get the price down to $57.13 each. So it isn't a huge savings, but if there are at least 2 of you, we can save about $24.00. So that you all know how...

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon in one day

My son and I hit both several years ago. We hit Blizzard Beach first, then Typhoon Lagoon. If you are going to swim with the sharks, save it for the hottest part of the day, because the water is cold. Of course if you go during the summer it won't matter. As far as bussing from one park to...

    Wishes or Illuminations Dessert Party?

Wow, I hate to hear that Mango Shooters are gone. Those were one of my favorites. What about the brownies, krispies & fruit. Do they still have all of that?

    Best Waterproof Camera?

I gave 2 9 year old DD each a Kodak PlaySport when we went to DisneyWorld last. They took them everywhere, including the water parks. In my opinion it is the best bang for the buck. Films underwater, and uploads easily to a laptop when you get back to your room. You can get extra batteries and...

    International First Timer

Low chance in November, but there are a few showers. Always better to be prepared with a cheap poncho than being forced to buy the $10.00 Disney SaranWrap.

    Saving Mr. Banks Trailer

Looks like this will be good Disney-fare. I like Tom Hanks & Emma Thompson, so that is a plus. I would love to see a movie about how Walt developed DisneyWorld.. sneaking in and buying up all the property that is now Lake Buena Vista.... the town that he incorporated to allow him exclusive...

    Tips on bags

Camelbaks will allow you to carry items plus a bladder of water. Fill them with ice in the morning, and you can keep cool without paying out the wazooo. Check them out at Dick's Sporting Goods, and see if it is big enough to carry your supplies.
