Where to go after VMK?

I'm thinking of downloading the SO game, because I love the PC games.

I hear you PirateBell, nothing compares to what VMK can give to its players.

I myself love tinkerbell and her little pixie/fairy friends, so I think I'm going to check out their fairies game...I just hope it's free.

*sigh*...Why does VMK have to close?:sad1:

I found this new game from cartoon network that is accepting registration for beta. For anyone interested you can find it at
fusionfall.com

Well I been reading all your post here...and I don't I could play any of those games. See I am a grandma..and don't play games very well... like I said here many times before..when I had to play a game for quest..it was with the help of friend or dis friends on vmk or family.!! But that is what i love about vmk...even though I am not a game player...what really hooked me on vmk was that it was Disney..and well we all love Disney and so of course I to try it...and loved it. People were so friendly and so helpful from the very first night we started.. never play anything like this before and loved it!! So after vmk?? So fo me...unless vmk stays open sadly there is no other game for me either!!

I agree, there is no other game like VMK. I've tried Club Penguin, not exciting and don't want to walk around like a penguin; Toon Town don't get it don't like it; Maplestory looked cool because you can hit other people with fish LOL, but it's not Vista compatible. I've been playing Gaia, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Gaia isn't a family game like VMK, there are rooms were there are sex parties, have no idea how to look for friends and is just plain boring. VMK is a game that can't be replaced :(
The Fairies and Cars games don't sound like a ton of fun. Besides if Disney closes VMK I won't play any other Disney.

This is exactly why I loved VMK too. It was about so much more than game playing.

Although I was frustrated by the need to play games for credits, I slowly learned to play them with the help and encouragement of friends.

I can't even begin to list the number of ways I have been stretched, challenged and inspired by this game and the wonderful people I have met here. Nothing will ever compare to it.

so far the only game i've found besides VMK is World of Kaneva ( kaneva.com ). theres a Mall to shop at, dance clubs to shake your booty and is easy to make friends and navigate around,

I found a great game its called Xivio. xivio.com is the webisite. In the game you have a person and you walk around earning Vios (money) talking and hanging out with the staff, going to rooms, holding games. My name is OtoPie in this game, the staff are really nice and you know its a staff becuase they were a gold halo and helpers wear blue halos. Just try it is fun but irritationg to get used to it.

Here is a pic of the game:

I think i'm going to go to ToonTown. I've played it before, and now my dream is to get the Piano. I can drop it on people! Otherwise, I would want a laff of 100!

it a really good game i thinku guys should try it

Eh...I don't really care for that style of animation. It would hurt my eyes looking at it very long. Everything looks a bit boxy too.

Tried it. Didn't like it.

Well I got set up on Sims this weekend and it's okay but I'm already feeling rather disenchanted by it. I guess nothing will have the magic of vmk. I like something with a bit more fantasy involved and where I don't have to pee and eat every thirty minutes.

Plus I miss the release of new items, outfits, hats, you know, fun stuff. Sims just seems to be more about working to make money. Hey, I already deal with that in real life. Why would I want to do it in a game?

*shudders* Doesn't sound like much fun to me. I play games to help escape from real life.;)

Unfortunately, I think we've all been GREATLY spoiled by the top-of-the-notch animation and graphics on VMK.

It's very sad to surf around and see that nothing out there even begins to compare in superiority when it comes to just the graphics alone, and that's not even touching the many other things that VMK offered that are far more superior than its counterparts out there.

Just don't understand why you take such a highly sophisticated game and trash it like this.

sims online is shutting its doors august 1 2008 what is going on with virtual worlds arg

How about POTC online? Anyone going there?

Tried it. Got killed by either the British Navy soldier or some other noob like myself within the first 20 minutes of playing. Don't think I'll be going back, LOL. Last i checked I was in the town jail.

The problem is that all of these other games are just that, games. None of them come across with the same community feel that VMK does.
As for future online worlds, whether they be Disney or other, I'll be leary about getting as involved as I did with VMK. Who knows when the plug can get pulled.:confused3

I just read a notice that my 14 days "trial" to Sims has expired. I guess they want me to pay now. Gee, didn't even get to try it since I could only get on as far as the Map. Now you say they are closing august 1 of this year? It's not worth it to me to subscribe for only a few months of use

I have tried Second Life and I like it but it is really for adults and if you are atleast a little tech savy, it really helps too. It is free though. Since I am a "techy", I find it facinating.

i am now playing gaia you can sit and watch movies with your friends like sweeny todd etc its fun and free lol
