Where to go after VMK?

Well,
I personally do not no any games to go to after VMK. Surely I am not heading to Club Penguin or Toon town.
Also did any of you know that VMK was only a "promotion"?

As for VMK's faith I personally believe it is all over. I am not usually negative but we are facing Disney. We are small sticks and Disney is a brick wall.

I loved VMK because it was VMK, not because it was a game. I couldn't give a crap about any other "game" out there. I've tried others before (at the insistence of friends) and never lasted more than half an hour. Nope, I'm going nowhere after VMK.

I tried the free version of Club Penguin a few months ago just to see what the heck it was and it wasn't my cup of tea. The only cool thing is that you can throw snowballs But VMK is VMK and nothing will ever take its place. Its just like the real Magic Kingdom. In true Disney fashion they paid such impeccable attention to the little details making it look like the real one. Where else can we find something that cool? I would definitely pay to play VMK but I would not pay to play Penguin Club or Pirates. Its not worth it to me. But VMK would be worth every penny.

I too am one of the many who have tried Club Penguin, Toon Town, and Pirates...I don't care if I sound like a spoiled child right now but, I do not want to be a penguin or toon or pirate, I want to be my little Rygo with her pretty purple hair. I have already signed her up to be on the Virtual Family Kingdom. If this is in any way a copyright violation, then I can only hope Disney sees it for what it is: VMK'ers doing anything and everything to keep the magic alive.
Yes, we may be small sticks fighting against the biggest wall there is. But with enough sticks working together (and I think we all proved that with the pirate quest) we can be an even stronger wall and move mountains. If one man could make an empire based on a mouse, there is nothing we as a group should feel we can not do.
Keep up the great work Fred! I have never heard Monkey bow down to ANYBODY when it comes to computers and programming!!

A few weeks later, I came across VMK, and quit the subscription to club penguin.
Now, when I heard that VMK was closing, I was shocked, but I know I have to move on. The real truth is, VMK's going, and even though we all go to SaveVMK, it's just not going to work.
Disney is a brick wall company, as they stated. It would take years for them to make a new online kingdom, if they even think so.
Nothing can replace VMK, but I think something called Fairies and Cars as Yavn said is just plain childish.
I may be a kid, but I am not foolish.
Even though we all want VMK back, the best online game, it's just not happening.
Nothing can compare = Nothing after VMK.
I can't think of Disney the same way anymore.
Surely Walt would keep the dream alive.
Is that not point enough to keep it open?

Yeah.
Saving VMK is not working. The first couple of days I saw HUGE efforts from everyone. Now it is dieing down and people went back to there normal ways. I personally can guess Cars will be about racing which I do not like.

VMK was for boys, girls and the adults like me who are still kids at heart, like Disneyland itself it is a "vision of a place where children and parents could have fun together." I do not see that in any other game online.
As for Walt's opinion, I will not presume to pretend that I know what he would or would not be thinking. But I do believe he said it himself "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."....I strongly believe he would keep the VMK dream alive, and just let it grow and evolve the same way Disneyland has.

Habbo is the closest Game like VMK. They are both made by sulake. However habbo is not based on disney, it is based on a hotel. You can say many nasty things to other players. Also habbo is free however to make your own room cost money. I'm looking for more "hang-out" games. However Habbo won't be for me.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not even talk about that game on here...My boyfriend found it in his search for a replacement game for his kids, myself and him. Within two minutes of being on there he was asked for his real name, age, and where he was from. Two minutes after he said it was all none of their business (which a kid would probably not think to say) he was propositioned for a very graphic and adult act. Please do not put that site into any kids heads!!!

Gaia is fun, You can have only one room though which mad me mad because i liked vmk for being able to build things. Gaia is a free game, but you can buy special items each month.

yep me and donlee are in the same room making money right now lol you can chat the only thing you cant say is curse words you can also once you make enough money buy a lot and build your house from the ground up including choosing your own carpet color and wallpaper you can make it anything you want from a store to a casino or skill or money lot there is pets you can buy and clothes and objects if you dont make your own

I tried pirates online, and it's really fun (nothing compared to VMK, but it's fun). The only issue about that game is, you do have to pay for it to actually play the game well, the free version is too limited to even have fun with.

I'm going to try that sims online, it sounds like fun

But also, I know it sounds crazy, but VMK closing might be a very good thing for me. It used to take over my life and I couldn't control myself around it. Not playing is going to help me a lot in school, and getting along with my parents

The absolute closest thing you will ever find to VMK right now is Habbo Hotel, you may remember it since it is made by Sulake who helped create VMK also. It's nowhere near as fun though and definitely not as safe... The dictionary is unlimited except for curse words I think so it's much easier to break the rules. I wouldn't recommend it for kids who are too young.
