I am seeing and hearing that these blasted personal shoppers are buying up everything and much of the merchandise for the season is already gone.
does Disney roll it out a little at a time or are those of us going in december out of luck?

We'll be there Dec 1, got our tickets yesterday and I hope what you're saying isn't true. Tonight is the 3rd party of the season and those who have gone have not reported anything as sold out. I'm hopeful.

What I am seeing mentioned as gone is the Dooneys (my wife wants), a lot of the popcorn buckets, sippers, AP pins, ears, etc.

What were the food offerings like? And I know the fireworks were crummy due to the rain but view wise - how did you feel about it? This is our first time - I basically booked it for the dedicated viewing space - but Im interested in what was available food wise as well.
We did the first night dessert party. The dedicated viewing space is excellent--that first night fireworks were not great due to rain and smoke backing up, but we've done the party other times, and love the view and not having to worry about whether or not we will be able to see.

The food included (I could be missing something since I mostly ate fruit and cheese):
Cheeseburger eggrolls with special sauce
Spinach dip with little slices of bread
Cheese and Fruit (either there were no crackers or they ran out before I got there)
Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
Olaf chocolate mousse cake
Carrot cake cupcakes
Apple pie cup
Peppermint cheesecake
Chocolate covered strawberries
Brownies
Some other cupcakes
Decorate your own cupcakes
Orange pushup thing (not frozen, more like a mousse)
Wrapped chocolate chip cookies (like from the treat stands)
Some kind of blue sparkling beverage
Berry Lemonade
A couple other cold beverages
Coffee, Hot Cocoa, Hot apple cider, teas
Water

I was hoping for a snowman pretzel as the line for those was crazy, but no luck!

We went to the party last night- no big report, just wanted to say the fireworks were beautiful and there are definitely projections on the castle- we were in the plaza garden so can’t attest to what it would have been like from anywhere other than front of castle. There was still a lot of smoke backup with these fireworks, and our evening was completely clear and beautiful, so not sure the weather played a lot of part in the smoke people mentioned from Friday night’s party. And our 2nd parade was just as crowded as the first, although we managed to grab front row spots in liberty square(there was just two of us).

I don't know why they don't ban these people - they banned two DL AP holders last Christmas for this. Should have kept doing it.

I will be angry if I get there on December 1st and there is no holiday merchandise left.

I am flying in this Thursday (11/14) with my 5yo son and I am debating whether or not we should go to MVMCP. We have been to Disney World several times and have been to MNSSHP twice but have never been to the Christmas party. We don't land until 1:30 and we are taking an uber/lyft to the Hilton Garden Inn right out of Disney and then again to the Contemporary to walk to MK. We really want to see Jack and Sally but I don't know if it will be possible to get there right at 4. Does anyone know if the line is shorter towards to end of the party? If we don't go to the party, we would go to Disney Springs and GF to see the gingerbread house. Any opinions? Is the party still worth it if we can't get there until 6 or 7? Besides meeting Jack and Sally, I know my son will want to ride a few smaller rides, Monsters Inc, Fireworks and probably see the 2nd parade. Would these things be feasible if we can't get there at 4?

The limited edition stuff may be gone, but I highly doubt the rest is.

In reagards to the personal shoppers I believe alot depends on how they do it if disney will stop it. I know You can't use your AP discount to make a profit on the item being sold.

Again, I've not seen anyone post here that those items are sold out so I don't know where you're getting that information.

Currently on ShopDisney two of the Holiday bags are still available:
Crossbody $198 / Satchel $268

Only the Holiday Tote is sold out online
452228
but that doesn't mean it's sold out park wide and many places carry them. If it's the Tote she wants try calling your local Disney Store as they had them in mine and people often return them there too, so keep trying.

As for the Exclusive AP Tote it's only sold park wide and never at ShopDisney. 452229
Sold at The Dress Shop in Disney Springs and Uptown Jewelers in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. I've not heard or read if these bags are sold at the Emporium but I think they might as the The Dress Shop dresses are sold there.

When are you going?

A big thank you to everyone here for all the MVMCP info! We were last minute gifted tickets to 11/8’s party, also already had tickets to 11/11’s party. Here’s a short summary:

11/8: Sold out but it rained on and off so it actually didn’t feel very crowded. Got there right around 7pm. Lots of guests didn’t know where that some outdoor meet and greets would be moved and were upset. Made for shorter lines though! We met Aurora & Snow with their princes with a 20 min wait at 8:30 and Tiana/Naveen & Rapunzel/Flynn w/a 5 min wait at 11:30. Our 2YO isn’t super interested in meeting characters so I don’t have much info there. Saw lines for Belle and Arial/Eric around 9-10 and they were only 5-8 parties long. A CM told us the line for dwarves at around 10:30 was 40 mins long. We watched the fireworks from behind the castle, by the carousel (we just happened to be there when they started). It was awesome! We were surrounded by fireworks and it seemed like most of the smoke lingered in front of the castle - either way, our area and view was clear. No projections, obviously, but great view of the fireworks with lots of room around us. 11pm parade was replaced with the rainy day calvacade. Lines for treats were super long the first hour of the party - we skipped them so not sure if they moved fast or not. The lines after 8:30 were nonexistent - last hour of the night, CMs were handing us stacks of cookies. Ride lines nonexistent for anything 32” and under. Sorry, I didn’t check the wait times for big rides. The park felt super empty after the fireworks.

11/11: Not sold out, felt really nice and not crowded! Arrived around 5pm. We did mostly rides and shows this party. Arrived at the Tomorrowland shows and the stage show 5 mins before the first shows started and easily got a front row spot. Treat lines again crowded the first hour, then super short to nonexistent after that. We did the terrace view dessert party. A PP posted a list of treats I thought was pretty complete. They also had the Minnie cookies that they handout in the bypass, which was a nice treat to take with us after the fireworks. The view was fantastic! I love the new fireworks show. The projections aren’t much to write home about so I was happy to have experienced the fireworks from behind the castle on 11/8. Watched the 2nd parade from Pecos Bill. Plenty of front row spots 15 mins before step off. Plenty of party merchandise available.

We had a great time at both parties, felt really lucky that crowds were/felt pretty low. Oh, there’s also a Photopass studio inside the shop by where Cinderella/Tiana meet (forget the name). It was always empty when we went inside but they have cool Christmas props, good lighting and a cute snowy background.

ugh - I am really dying for that spirit jersey exclusive to the party. I am sure they roll it out - especially given the fact that they arent doing the pass for this party, the personal shoppers have to get tickets each time. I bet there will be merch left

Do you have any photos to post?

We were at the first party on 11/8. Yes, the rain was a drag and it made things pretty sloppy but the party itself was still really fun. Lots of treats and characters. The band playing in Frontier Land was great and had everyone singing. Tons of cookies and snacks. We rode everything and the fireworks were really good. It was smoky near the castle but it was beautiful. The monorail was down and the only way in was the boat so that was really crowded. We were at the Beach Club so we did a bit of Food and Wine and walked over to the monorail at around 4:00 and found out we would have to take the bus to TTC. At TTC we all had to move over to the boats and it was very crowded. We didn't get into the park until almost 6pm and listening to people complain for over an hour... never fun. I had made reservations for the Plaza but cancelled them and I'm glad I did. We ate at Pecos Bill and it was perfect. We started on Pirates and worked our way around the park. The longest wait was SDNT and that was 25 minutes. We ended with the Jingle Cruise and the wait was about 15 minutes at 11:00. It did not seem like many people left after the fireworks. The park was pretty full when we left at 11:15 but for a sold out event I didn't think it was crowded. I would definitely do it again.

***FYI we were there from 11/6 thru 11/11 and we saw lots of Christmas merchandise in every park. Great sweatshirts, t-shirts, ears, hats, etc. The only thing I noticed was the small and medium shirts and sweatshirts were hard to find in the parks. I did get a child xl for myself and that was fine for me and the marketplace at Beach Club had all the adult sizes. World of Disney in DS had all the sizes, too.

I was able to buy Mickey Christmas tickets for Dec 20th and was able to book the tomorrowland terrace party but noticed the name is different than the Plaza viewing party. Did I make a mistake?

I have the Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing booked for Dec 17th Christmas Party. But when I booked the tomorrowland terrace version for Dec 20th party it's titled, Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.

Any idea if Stitch meets in any kind of festive attire during the party?

Also, I was just there 11/1 - 11/9 and there was plenty of regular holiday merch. Gingerbread ears, peppermint ears, and the plaid flannel ears at many locations throughout all parks. Lots of t-shirts and tons of the regular holiday (non-party) spirit jerseys. Can't speak to the party specific merch, given I didn't attend a party during this visit.
