I can answer one of these questions for you. I purchased annual passes online on Thursday, the day the new DAH dates were released. We will activate them during our January trip. I assigned them to my daughter and I, so they show up in MDE. I was immediately able to purchase our DAH tickets online at the AP price.

Where do you get the AP price online? I can’t find it

went the same day !
It was the busiest dis list but one of the few that didn’t sell out!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for 9/20 ! It will be the third time on the longest dis list but not a sell out? Lol

Hmmm, if that one doesn’t sell out, I might have to bribe you to go to the one I’m going to book too. You must be good luck! :goodvibes

After I purchased the AP, it showed as linked up under "my reservations and tickets" on MDE. After that when I went to the Disney After Hours page, it showed price of $125, but when I click on "Purchase Admission", it takes me to another page that has options for "Products and Prices for All Guests" and "Products and Prices for Annual Passholders". When the dot next to the "Annual Passholders" choice is clicked, it gives me the $89 AP price.

They got me for both. I am going to the Christmas Party for the parade and fireworks, but to After Hours to do all the rides!

Sadly we cancelled our Jiko dinner to attend.
Us too! Had already purchased MVMCP tickets before DAH dates were released. We are doing both because MVMCP has the parade, fireworks, shows and meet and greets. It is not worth going on rides during MVMCP IMHO because I want to see the party exclusive stuff. DAH is all about the rides and the ice cream. ::yes::

If we go to the DAH in December we will definitely do MVMCP as well.

DW and I will be at WDW Jan 26 - Feb 1, 2019. We are thinking about going to DAH on the Jan 28th. We are also considering buying annual passes for the first time. I am hoping someone can answer some questions or confirm/correctwhat I think I know:
1) If we buy annual passes, we will be able to connect them to our MDE so we can book FP+ at 60 days, but the year for the annual pass will not start running until we arrive on Jan 26 and "activate" them or pick them up at guest services?
2) If we buy the annual passes, can we immediately buy DAH tickets at the AP price, or do we have to buy full price DAH tickets and then get a refund after we activate the annual passes?
3) If DW and I buy annual passes for ourselves, can we then buy discounted DAH tickets for ourselves and her parents who are traveling with us?

Hi there.

1) Yes, if you buy APs you can book FPs at 60 days out with an eligible resort reservation. When you arrive at WDW, you need to get your APs activated at any Guest Relations or ticket window. The clock starts ticking on your first year the day you first ENTER a park (not the day you activate it, if they happen to be different).

2) Looks like this one has been answered by a PP.

3) Yes, you can buy discounted tickets for her parents at the AP rate.

Hope that helps!

We went to the August 30th event, and would absolutely do it again in a heartbeat.

We got to MK about 8:00ish, hit Starbucks for a drink (mistake as it was super crowded, grabbed a quick snack at Casey's, and watched the fireworks for a bit).

We're not big roller coaster people so thus the lack of SDMT, and Space Mtn.

Also, they didn't give out the lanyards until we were leaving... not sure why.

In our time there we did the following in order;
  • Aladdin x2 without getting off (could have stayed on for a 3rd but we wanted to get going).
  • Big Thunder 1x... TOTALLY different ride at night.. we loved it.
  • Got popcorn & drinks.
  • Lantern photo by the Tangled bathrooms (approx a 10 min wait).
  • Peter Pan (waited approx 10 minutes as well).
  • Pooh x2.
  • Tomorrow Land speedway (15 minute wait.. only one track open).
  • PeopleMover.
  • Buzz x2 (stayed on ride, and just went back through again).
  • Ice cream & drinks to end the night.
We walked out shortly before midnight.

Pros;
  • Walk on for most rides... amazing.
  • Walking through the park w/out constantly bumping into people.
  • Nice to have the snack options.
Cons;
  • Given how low the crowds were, I wish they had us go through the FP line, and not the stand by to get on.
  • Speedway had only one track out of 4 operating making this our longest wait of the night.
  • Splash Mtn was down.
  • Didn't get lanyards until we were exiting at the end of the night??

I don't think this night sold out. To me it was a great value to cost benefit, and I would do it again without hesitation.

I think they were handing the lanyards out more as a souvenir this time than as a way to monitor who was on what. Instead, they used wristbands for that which I’m really happy about. I thought someone also mentioned something about the lanyards still being made? I might have read that wrong.

I see the dates are released for early 2019. I am new to DAH. Is there ever a time when they add more dates to what is already released? (looking at March specifically...)

Historically, no... dates are released in chunks, there will be a pause, then another set. But anything is possible. Post #1 has tables that show historical dates/when they were released.

We have tended to not see DAH in the more ‘busy’ times of year, such as Spring Break (which I call mid/late March-April), major holidays, etc.

Thank you. I sort of figure there won't be any dates later in March but I really, really wish I were wrong because that would be an awesome win for me!

Just found out about DAH and that there's a date available while we are there (Dec. 3). Trying to convince DH that this might be a great idea for us, as everything I read from those who've attended one prior, you can basically walk on rides- and if not walk on, a short wait. I think this would make for a magical experience for my daughter!!

I wanted to report back my experience with DAH on 8/30. It was amazing! It was our first time doing this event and I would definitely do it again, given the opportunity. Worth every penny.

We arrived at MK about 8:00 (HEA was at 8:55 and DAH starting at 9:00). We did Country Bear Jamboree and Tiki Room between 8:15 and 9:00 because we hadn't been to them yet on our previous visit to MK this trip and didn't want to waste event time on them. The thought was to get us through to park closing with low demand attractions. We did not bother with getting a spot for HEA, we just watched as we wandered. Once 9:00 hit we did the following:

Jungle Cruise 9:05 - this was super fun because it was us and one other family and the skipper gave us the choice of the usual script or just an ad-hoc trip where she gave us random behind the scenes info on the ride. We obviously chose the later and it was fantastic!
Pirates 9:19
BTMRR- 9:33 - our one and only snafu of the night was here because Splash was closed, which was supposed to be our 3rd attraction on my plan, so BTMRR was a bit backed up. Wait time of 10 minutes and our only real wait of the night.
Snack - we at on our way to next attraction
Haunted Mansion 9:56
Under the Sea 10:19
Dumbo 10:28
Barnstormer 10:42
Astro Orbiters 10:47
Space Mountain 10:56 - this was our only other wait of the night, about 5 minutes
Buzz Lightyear 11:17
Mine Train 11:29
Splash Mountain 11:50 - because we had to double back to Splash, we missed my only other planned attraction, which was the Speedway.

We had another snack in there somewhere, but I forgot to note it. We were moving at a pretty fast pace, definitely no down time. We chose not to use too much time on snacking and to focus instead on seeing how many rides we could fit into the 3 hours. We ended up with 12 + the 2 we did in the hour before the official start time.

We were there the same night and I was disappointed to not get the lanyard. Although I'm happy they have gone to wristbands instead to help deal with people cheating the system, I would've liked the souvenir. I must have missed it on the way out, we were leaving the park about 12:30ish.

Quick question for those who haven done this before - are you able to use the MDE app to see wait times during the event?
