I'll work on updating Post #1 later, but new bookable dates:
  • Monday, December 3, 2018 - 10pm-1am
  • Monday, December 10, 2018 - 10pm-1am
  • Monday, January 7, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Thursday, January 17, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Thursday, January 24, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Monday, January 28, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Thursday, February 7, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Thursday, February 14, 2019 - 9pm-12am
  • Thursday, February 28, 2019 - 8pm-11pm
  • Thursday, March 7, 2019 - 9pm-12am
And yes, a $6 price increase for the new dates. Figured that was coming at some point.

Interesting that two Dec dates were added (figured I'd be wrong again!).

Happy booking all!

I would love to go to a DAH event again, after attending the 8/30 event and having so much fun. We are going to WDW in Dec and Jan, and the Jan 17 event looks to be the one that matches up best with our dates. Will definitely think about that one.

Hi,
A bit frustrated here and looking for advice.
They just released additional Disney After Hours dates and I am interested in purchasing for 2/7/19.
I called the number and the event is not loaded into their system yet?

Is this typical? They announce and then are unable to sell the tickets?
I imagine these sell out, and without a clue as to when to try to get tickets, it's kind of goofy.

Any experience with this, or tips?

The new dates are available for purchase online: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/magic-kingdom/disney-after-hours/

I was not able to get an answer regarding AP holders, but a DVC Members Services rep just told me this via chat: “Disney Vacation Club Members may purchase discounted tickets for themselves and up to seven (7) Guests. You just have to have your card to enter and your photo ID and enter with the other Guests.”

Yay, I was hoping this would be an option during my March trip and it is! We have seven park days so it might not be "worth it" in a sense but I'm still so tempted to take advantage of it!

Does the AP member have to attend with the person you bought tickets for? Such as can my family member buy them for us? I'm sorry. I know my question was likely answered in the gazillion pages of this forum :-)
If it’s the same rule as for DVC members, I just learned that no, the person with the pass that qualifies for the discount has to be present.

I just did 8/30 w/ DH and had a blast. We have a family trip planned for early January so I was happy to see Jan 7 included! I was hoping the last one in march would be a couple days later so DD and I could go over her spring break. Guess I'm getting greedy....

For those asking about AP and DVC discounts, I think you can buy up to three discounted tickets plus yourself, but I’m not totally sure about that and it’s one of those questions I’m not sure if we’ve ever seen a definitive answer on. If anyone knows for sure, I’d love to add this info to page 1. Txs!

Well I guess I'll find out. I would need to buy 5 additional (but we are 4 APs holders). I think I'll prob get them tomorrow, I'll report back if I do :)

I’ve been following this thread for some time now. I’ve loved reading the reviews and have been anxiously awaiting release dates for next year. We are heading to WDW for the first time at the end of January. Just purchased tickets for 1/24 AND 1/28. So excited! Time to go rearrange some ADR’s.

I doubt they will refund , but thinking about it, this is the first time this has been offered during the “rainy” months. Fingers crossed we get good weather but if not we’ll still enjoy in ponchos! Lol
Right, no idea how an actual hurricane would affect it. I’m lucky that I live in South Florida but am looking forward to this so I’m nervous! Good thing they added dates, maybe I could switch dates in the event that a hurricane affects us.

Any speculation if additional dates will be added for March? We arrive on the 8th, missing the only March date released so far by one day :guilty:

We will be driving from GA that same day so ponchos are packed! We leave for a cruise that Saturday but being native Floridians and cruising every September, I'm a bit desensitized! Lol

Right! I wouldn’t mind being at the resort for a hurricane really, it’s just that I have 3 furry children at home. My hands are tied. Will try not to worry about it and trust that some pixie dust will come our way! pixiedust:

Do any rare characters (or characters at all) typically make appearances at these?

No, only the character attractions that are open during the event. It’s pure, raw, un-bedazzled MK and that’s about it. :-)

I have often thought it would kind of be nice for them to add SOMETHING like a few rare characters out/about just to spice things up a bit.

Does anyone have any real (no guesses) numbers on how many tickets Disney sells for this event? Forgive me if it's been discussed here already but a quick google search didn't yield any fruit other than some conjecture as to how many are sold. I was hoping for something more solid.

I’ve never seen a reliable count/source, only the same conjecture. In my opinion... like MK capacity, party tickets, and similar... no one really knows for sure. I’m sure some of the ideas thrown out may be close, but I don’t know how we’d really know for sure.
