I was given the most beautiful pink rose yesterday and I am so happy to report that my cat has NOT eaten it yet! Not a bite mark on a single petal! That must be a record around here. Good Morning! I am grateful to be able to enjoy my flower for at least one more day ♥:flower3:

I haven't been here much, to wish all the 2nd Rounders much needed support, but I've been with u in spirit. Like a spirit lurker! Good luck my friends... Some of your dreams will come true very shortly, I will have to wait another year.
I started blogging, & find it to be very addicting, also I've finally written my Trip Report from late July 2011, if anyone is interested.

My family will be going to Disney's Aulani resort in 3 months & I will definitely blog & do a trip report. Then POLY again in March for my 1st ever mom & kids trip!:cool1: Any one here going around March 26--30th 2012, let me know!

Pixie dust or bust!!!!!
Dawn
My blog address is in my signature, it also has my TR on it! :flower3:
cool- can't wait to read and see your Aulani report, we are seriously considering it for next year or year after!!! :)

This  And the delicious Kaki Gori with its yummy rainbow flavors!
Kaki Gori is my fave! I had cherry last week on our trip!

Oooooooo, that's one I haven't heard of! I've done the monorail crawl, but not the cupcake crawl. I love cupcakes. Do tell! I'm partial to the chocolate peanut butter cupcake from Starring Rolls, but I can never eat more than 1/2 of it.
Yep, i love the butterfinger at Starring Rolls, which I missed this time. We did get a yummy red velvet at the Contemporary though!

I love Disney popcorn! During our trip last May we decided to collect all the different popcorn buckets for each park. It made a great souvenir! I now keep small toys in one of the popcorn buckets in the car, so that when we go out to dinner with the kids they have a bucket filled with toys to keep them busy. :-)
That is such a cute idea! I have the mickey ghost one from this trip last week and the mickey snowman from a prior December trip! Those Tokyo DL ones are so cute and unique!

I just spent almost an hour talking with my brother about our trip and ADR's. I'm so excited! My parents, brother, his wife and kids and my family are going to WDW together. The kids get along amazingly (pray I say that when we return :rolleyes1) and are going to have such a great time together.

The last time I was on vacation with my brother was in 2001 (and it was WDW! My parents took us and my boyfriend (now DH) and his girlfriend (now his DW)! We had such an awesome time and it's going to be so much more magical with kids!

We see them about every 6 weeks or so (they live 2 hours away) and usually only for the day. It's going to be so nice to spend a week together and be able to enjoy all the magic that Disney has with each other. :grouphug:

Sorry, I'm rambled, I'm just so excited and no one understands like my Disney Family!
Sounds like a fabulous vacation all together! where are you going to stay?

Since we were on the tangent of the Tokyo parks...thought I'd share a few of my faves this fine morn!

Which gets me thinking...
What's your favorite current (all-time) attraction and what's your favorite extinct attraction(s)?
my favorite all time extinct attraction is definitely HORIZONs!!! I loved that ride. I know it was hokey and out of date, but I loved it. The smell of the oranges (hey, maybe they just moved that to Soarin, right?), the different scenes, the music. My old roomie at the time on the college program (96) was a huge fan too. She was able to get in one night with a cast member friend that had access and actually walk around the scenes and sets- including that lovely orange carpet. She also somehow got one of the metal badges that featured the logo that was on the wall out front after it closed down. so jealous!

For current favorite- it's a tie probably between Splash and ToT! I love both!

Okay, the waiting is torture! But I know they have a tough decision to make. Don't forget, they not only have the videos to look through, but also the questions as well. I am sure it is a lot to get through and I would love to see all the wonderful responses and videos. I bet they are watching some of them more than once! :thumbsup2

I am literally getting NOTHING done!!:rolleyes1 This morning, I woke up and thought, "I'll just check my phone so I can be elated or disappointed from the comfort of my lovely warm bed." But no news yet.

I've convinced myself that it is taking a little longer because the judges are trying to work out a way for ALL of us to skip R3 and go straight onto the panel. :thumbsup2 Either way, pixie dust for (hopefully) today and (possibly) tomorrow!!

So which do you think they did first... read the answers, then the videos or Watched the Videos then read the answers??

If you were in charge of making the choice... which would you do first??

Oh and my husband was mean this morning...

He said... "Have you all thought about maybe they have sent the letters and none of you made it?"

The STINKER!!!

Ooooooo, he's evil!

If I were on the judging panel I think I would want to read the answers 1st & then watch the video.

Oh I laughed outloud:rotfl2: at this! I am going with that reasoning today. So no reason to check back today right? Yeah, right haha

Good Morning! :goodvibes

Checking in this cold morning! Brrr!

I hope today is the day! :tinker: If not, that's ok - I'm enjoying the chat. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great day!:hippie:

My 7 yr old DDprincess: loves red velvet cake (how many 7 years olds even know what red velvet cake is?? She is wiser far beyond her years!) and we are staying at BLT soon... where do you get it at the Contemporary? This is our 1st stay there, even though it is our home resort... getting VERY excited :yay:

What's your favorite current (all-time) attraction and what's your favorite extinct attraction(s)?

At DLR, my fave is Storybook Land Boats and my fave extinct is the PeopleMover. I did like when they changed it to The Rocket Rods.

I do love riding The PeopleMover in the MK. It gives me such nostalgia.:cloud9:

Just checking in as well. You had the same thought as me! I am certain that the delay is in figuring out where all of us are going to stay (and eat!) during our training trip.

Speaking of eating, my snack of choice is rice cream! And we leave for our Thanksgiving trip in 22 days, so I don't have long to wait!

On to the rides question...my favorite current ride is Splash Mountain, and extinct ride is Alien Encounter (I know I'm in the minority on this one but I really liked it and I think that my DS14 would love it!).

We had a red velvet cupcake at the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary - very good. We loved BLT.

Oh the Rocket Rods. I tried to get on those for days. Every time I got in the huge line I'd wait hours just to get close and have them break down. Finally on my last day I stayed in line after they went down and got to ride them. I want to say I enjoyed it, but it had started to rain by the time I got on, and being whipped through rain made each drop feel like shards of ice ripping my face apart. I had to keep my eyes closed and face covered just to avoid injury, but at least I can say I rode that brief piece of Disneyland history.

I always think of that when on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in WDW. I'm so glad it is still there. I do miss the sky buckets (don't recall their actual name) at Disneyland. Can't remember if I rode them at WDW or not.

This is starting to get crazy... I just want to know already!! lol

My favorite rides in each park are:
CoP & Splash Mountain
Spaceship Earth
Muppet Vision 3D
Expedition Everest

DLR: Indiana Jones
DCA: King Triton's Carousel

I miss:
Original Journey Into Imagination
Horizons
World of Motion
Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Play It!
Superstar Television

Hello :)

You know I'm not one to stir up our anxieties ;)

BUT..the butterflies are back, big time.:hippie:

I've got a feeling we should keep an eye on our inboxes today.

Just saying!

:grouphug:

Hello everyone! I woke up to a beautiful Colorado day this morning and feel like it's going to be a GREAT day today, so I thought I would share my gorgeous view with you all this morning to hopefully provide a little inspiration.

Good luck to everyone as we continue to hit the refresh button! :cheer2:

and extinct ride is Alien Encounter (I know I'm in the minority on this one but I really liked it and I think that my DS14 would love it!).

I'm totally with you! I think this was the first ride I went on my first trip back to WDW as an "adult" and it scared us silly! Boy did I laugh and laugh afterwards! The only time I didn't enjoy it was during a week of junior high cheerleading competition - when nearly the whole theater was filled with screaming junior high girls :scared1:

stitch is cute - but too cute - I miss the scary version!

I had the red velvet cupcake at the Contempo Cafe. Yummy! Huge, shared it with my dad. When are you going? I'll be there next week. You are going to love BLT!
