Well, I have something to distract me! My brother-il-law is getting married in January in Hawaii! He propposed on the Disney Dream and they both are willing to do a split stay at a Waikiki hotel and Aulani. My DH and I are both in the wedding party, so Hawaii here I come! Now I get to research Oahu hotels. Any recommendations?
We stayed at the Royal Hawaiian and it was okay, but of course, really old. Great location though. Although being away from all the touristy stuff is nice too, which Aulani should offer more of.

My parents did the Hilton Hawaiian Village and we visited it while there, it looks really nice and spacious!

We are considering Aulani for next fall using our points. We will see what happens! ;):thumbsup2 Oh and congrats to your BIL!!!

I love Disney popcorn! During our trip last May we decided to collect all the different popcorn buckets for each park. It made a great souvenir! I now keep small toys in one of the popcorn buckets in the car, so that when we go out to dinner with the kids they have a bucket filled with toys to keep them busy. :-)

My sister's friend shared this with me on Facebook; he described it as:
Here's something in exchange for that video you shared with me :) Watch this at the end of a stressful day. Its very calming at full screen. Music by Pogo, made 100% out of Disney audio samples.

So neat!!!

Another good thing to match with popcorn!!

I actually feel like I'm in a race car, ready to speed off...but I'm at the LONGEST red light of my life!! I am SO ready for the darn thing to turn green already! (If I made it to R3 it will feel like the rush of speeding off, and if I don't...my car stalled)

Love this! :rotfl2: But, the good news is if your car does stall all it needs is a tune up & then off you go again next year! :thumbsup2

All this talk of popcorn has me thinking of WDW snacks. So what are some of your favorite snacks? For me it's a cinnamon roll from the Main Street Bakery. It's more than a snack. It's breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Also, have to have at least one Dole Whip Float on every trip. So lets hear some of yours! Talking about snacks is not a bad way to pass the time. popcorn::

I got to thinking and remembered that I had made t-shirts for a prior trip...just not for DH! I used this one for my niece and my mom when I sent them to Akershus while DH and I did the KTTW tour:

and I used this one for DS and my niece when we took them to the Pirates League a couple of years ago:

DS wore his shirt until just recently with pajamas! It was way to small, but these shirts let the memories persist so much longer. :goodvibes

Butterfinger Muffin from Starring Roles Cafe for sure!

Thank you all for your kind words. :)

I really debated whether or not I should share my loss in this thread. I did not want to be a downer! But I decided that although losing my mom is a loss of a future with her, I still have 92 plus years of her life to celebrate. :woohoo:

She knew about this panel and all the excitement it causes and she would have loved to have shared in all of your excitement!

I do need to apologize for the huge photo. I think I finally got it corrected to a more normal size. :rotfl:

It is after 5 PM here and normally the end of another "business" day but with the ROUND TWO announcements coming on a Saturday, I do not think we can count any day or time as out

I think I have posted that pic of my parents on the bench on another thread. Also the one of my dad was picked on the Disney Facebook page to a Memory picture of the week. I think it also appeared on the MK castle show.

I know that does not make the waiting or the constant refreshing any easier but Disney is always full of surprises and really none of us would want it any other way! :cloud9:

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK!

:dance3::yay::woohoo::banana::cool1:

Kim- Heartfelt condolences and hugs across the miles for the loss of your Mom. I think it's wonderful that you decided to share the news and photos. At a time like this, you should know you're being thought about by so many- even those of us you're just "meeting!"

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that even microwave popcorn tastes better when eaten from a Disney popcorn popcorn::bucket?

Have you seen the incredible popcorn buckets they have at Tokyo Disneyland? They're incredibly amazing!

My fave snack is the sugar cookie from the shop right outside of ToT. I know, it's just a sugar cookie, but it's just THE best one ever.

I am dying to do the cupcake crawl in December, though! :teeth:

I haven't been here much, to wish all the 2nd Rounders much needed support, but I've been with u in spirit. Like a spirit lurker! Good luck my friends... Some of your dreams will come true very shortly, I will have to wait another year.
I started blogging, & find it to be very addicting, also I've finally written my Trip Report from late July 2011, if anyone is interested.

My family will be going to Disney's Aulani resort in 3 months & I will definitely blog & do a trip report. Then POLY again in March for my 1st ever mom & kids trip!:cool1: Any one here going around March 26--30th 2012, let me know!

Pixie dust or bust!!!!!

Oooooooo, that's one I haven't heard of! I've done the monorail crawl, but not the cupcake crawl. I love cupcakes. Do tell! I'm partial to the chocolate peanut butter cupcake from Starring Rolls, but I can never eat more than 1/2 of it.

Holy Cow!?! Tokyo Disneyland's popcorn buckets make WDW's look like McDonald's toys!! Get it together and bring over some of the good stuff for us!

I found a forum on MiceChat that all about Tokyo Disneyland Popcorn Buckets. Here is one... Apparently, Stitch's arms and ears move!!

It was featured on Disneyfoodblog. There's a list of all the cupcakes in WDW property. I'm a cupcake-aholic - it's the perfect tasty snack! ;)

Right? I so wish they had them in the states! :guilty:

I know there's a TR on the DIS focused on all the different buckets and I'm pretty sure each "Land" in TDL has different flavored popcorn. Yum.:worship:

Love the Stitch bucket...check these out, I found them when I was inspired to google 'japan disney popcorn buckets'...love the hinged lids and the strap for hands-free snacking and for lugging post snacktime!!
