Heather....
I went in search of info for Dr's that have knowledge of and specialize in APS- I'm sure you've already seen this site, but just in case, if you go to
www.aps.org there is a place you can click on your state and find Dr.'s that could probably sympathize a little better with you and your condition. There's nothing worse then going to Dr. after Dr. trying to get some help and getting none!
Hope that helps friend.
Thank you so much, Carrie! That was sweet of you to look for a link for me! The way that site works is people can recommend their own hematologist. I actually recommended my first hematologist and they put him on the site when I was first diagnosed. I didn't realize at the time how outdated his knowledge about the disease was! There is no one else close to me on there. I'm thinking I may have to travel 3 hours to find a good doctor!
Thanks to everyone else who is sending prayers and good thoughts my way. You are all so great!!
I do know what's causing my fatigue and muscle pain. It's the very same disease that caused the blood clots! But, all of the hematologists I've been to do not realize that the disease has other ramifications besides clots. I do not want prescribed pain killers (the posibility of addiction scares me more than the pain)- just some acknowledgement that I'm even having pain and fatigue!! I have a great international messageboard that I go to about antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. It seems that other countries are more up-to-date with their information on this disease. I'm thankful that I don't have this pain as often as I used to, but it would be nice if someone could look into finding out how to stop it!
Heather, I have a bunch of boyish Disney fabrics to make the same kind of shirts for my son who is 5. I wanted to make a few matching for my husband. We also have this same Cars fabric. I just showed my son, Jake, this and he asked if it was his.
No honey, your fabric is sitting in a bag in the storage closet.
I'm intimidated by the buttons but we have until Oct so I think I can work up to it. Was it hard to do? It looks great.
Thank you!! I was starting to think I hadn't posted the picture, after all!
I thought it was fairly difficult to make. You can't "fudge" anything when there's no gathering or ruffles involved! So, I was pretty proud of the way it turned out!
This came out great. I always like the camp style shirts on little guys
Thank you!!!
My lil sister has HeliCo Bactor disease and it took forever and like 7 doctors later for them to figure it out ...
i hope that things work out for you soon ...
That is too cute i made one of those last night for Camden and mine looks blah compared to yours this was also my 1st attempt at anyting like this too, i learned to sew the size i need not make it a lil bigger ...
You did a great job on that shirt! I love it! Funny how we both posted on the same day and made the same kind of shirt out of cars fabric, when so little is posted for boys! I like the appliqued pants, too! I want to do that with some shorts for Sawyer. I was also thinking of replacing a pocket on a pair of cargo shorts with the Cars fabric.
I'm sorry to hear about your sister's health problems. It's so hard to find a doctor who knows as much as they think they do!
What an absolutely adorable bunch of kids!!!!
Wow, what a beautiful little girl you have!!!! You did a great job on the pillowcase dresses! I like the belt with them, too. Very cute!
Aww he is adorable.....so is the shirt. I am a little scared to try shirts lilke that. You did a great job!!
Thank you, it means so much to me to have feedback from you all when I post something!!
