Hey..don't forget about poor Tom...you mean women plus one man...LOL

If I remember right, there was a second dad who posted on the old thread. I don't think he posted a lot but he'd made some things for his child/children.

BTW - I think threads get locked when they reach 250 page. :( It looks like a new one will be needed in the next day or two if not sooner.

I think I am feeling fiesty tonight!

Well, I am glad I am caught up :) I think with only 7 pages to go, there will be a new thread by morning. This one moves fast!

Has anyone found any new patterns lately...It seems like it's the same old stuff when I look online and in the pattern books. We need to create something new..I saw these great zuma's that we're appliqued with Rapunzel. They were adorable. I wish I saved a picture. But I was thinking about trying to do a Cinderella pair. With maybe her castle in the background.
I guess I should finish my project that I'm already working on. Well I bought the fabric, but haven't cut anything yet. I wanted to do an appliqued set with Tinkerbell, Hook, The alligator, and Wendy..

Man, that would be awesome!

I know someone did a pair very similar to the zuma pattern that had Belle on the pants. It was VERY cute!

This is so cute!! And I love your Jack Russells. I have been showing and breeding them for the last 10 years. They are the best!!!!

Love Jack Russels, too! We have a new pup, Rocky

Have you looked at the ottobre design website - might have something on it to inspire you :) I love their stuff :)

This is my BIG project for the weekend. I bought a $20 folding lawn chair with a canopy, used a dremel tool to cut the bolts that held the canopy on. I went to Home Depot and bought some new bolts, spacers, washer and wing nuts. Then Chris helped me drill out the holes a bit bigger and we reassembled the canopy on the wheelchair. We can take it off fairly easily since we used wing nuts :thumbsup2

SewingProjects039.jpg

I added the front scalloped edge with a bit of a Disney touch to make it look like it belongs to a 5 year old. It needs a little fun don't you think.

I'm happy to have this project completed. One more thing that I can check off my to do list :cool1:

WOW What a great idea. It turned out awesome! Its one sweet ride now. What a cool mom to do this! :thumbsup2

I am working on my outfits for Ohano's. Here is the babies outfit. Funny this pattern was brought up a couple of days ago. I could not figure out the button thing to save my life. LOL I think I worked on that for about an hour. Then it dawned on me.

My older daughter is getting a very ruffled outfit. I was going to do capris and a shirt but she is my dress girl. I cut her dress first and did not have enough fabric to do the same for the baby. That is why I ended up doing this one. I am pretty happy with the way it came out.

This is so cute. I love the pink and green together. my daughter is drooling over the cute little dress!

I finished Sawyer's Cars shirt this morning. It was the smallest pattern I could find in the style of shirt I liked, but it's still pretty big on him. He would not cooperate, so I didn't get any good pictures of him in it. But, I thought I'd share anyway. This is my first attempt at a button-up shirt, a collar, and a pocket.

He kept trying to take the shirt off and was coming over to me to take it off of him. I got lots of extreme close ups like this. So helpful:

Here's how the shirt looks when Sawyer throws a tantrum because he wants it off. In his defense, it was nap time.

Heather, I have a bunch of boyish Disney fabrics to make the same kind of shirts for my son who is 5. I wanted to make a few matching for my husband. We also have this same Cars fabric. I just showed my son, Jake, this and he asked if it was his. :rotfl: :rotfl:

No honey, your fabric is sitting in a bag in the storage closet.:rotfl2:

I'm intimidated by the buttons but we have until Oct so I think I can work up to it. Was it hard to do? It looks great.

I'm having a great time buying fabric just too intidated to cut into much of it yet! :lmao: :lmao:

This came out great. I always like the camp style shirts on little guys :thumbsup2

I got in some practice using patterns by sewing my dog's a new bed today. It took me about 7 hours and was really difficult at some points, but it's done. Our boy dog is named Bevo, after the Texas Longhorns mascot, hence the fabric choice.

P2171881.jpg

It looks really small in this picture, but it's not that small.
P2171888.jpg

Both dogs love it already.
P2171891.jpg

That is great! It looks like your dogs really enjoy it :)

wait 7 pages. does this end at 250 pages?

I post on another large thread. It did not automatically close at 250 pages. I don't know if that has changed by now or not :confused3 We opted to start another thread at 250 pages to be on the safe side, but went another couple of pages as people caught up and found the new link.

I am watching night rider and it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm watching it too and I actually read my sewing machine manual. I've had the machine for over a decade and never actually read the manual. There are feet that I had no idea what to do with and features that I've never used.

Hi Everyone - a little late, but a few more valentines things....

She got the brother 6000 for Christmas and she has been going crazy wanting to sew sew sew! She did 90% of these all by herself and she could have done more if she just wasn't so worried that she would make a mistake. She even sewed the rick-rack all by herself.

I am so proud of her. She was sooooo excited when she got them finished!
wow that is awesome she did a great job

Here's a picture of the "whipped up" outfit I made Leigh today.

I made it extra twirly for her

You are my hero:worship: :worship:

So here's a post of the two new projects I'll be starting next week.
The first is a really cute top that I'm borrowing out of the Limited Too catalog. The blue top is $27 retail and my fabric combined in the blue and blue flowered total cost $8. Can't wait to finish is.

th_IMG_0172.jpg

This bottom fabric is my nightmare!!!:confused3 I don't know what DD5 was thinking about except that she LOVES:love: Buzz Lightyear. She wants a skirt and I thought I'd be able to pull out the light blue with some different fabrics, but she wanted the pea soup green? Again I don't know.:confused3 I think I'll do the basic three tier skirt because otherwise I'm going to be sick with the color. Any ideas?

She'll be popular with the boys in her class that's for sure!:hippie:
cute i am gonna case some stuff in the limited too catalog also why pay those prices and i can even make it modest too .. can't wait to see what you make

ok I am only on page 218 and there are some super awesome creations!! I was going to say "rad" but my dh looked over my shoulder and said "I think you are the only one in the world who still says rad anymore" ha! he made my change it.

SO...prove me wrong, doesn't anyone else say Rad, or am I REALLY the only one?
Hey i say Dude all the time ! is that kinda the same as RAD which now i will be saying because it is stuck in my head!!!

scott took the kids to the zoo an hour ago and I am already done with outfit #1.

cute :cutie: it all worked out great.

I've got that Buzz Lightyear fabric, too. I'm planning on making a button-up shirt or Sawyer with it. Maybe you could just add some white in with the brown and green fabrics to brighten it up a little.

You're really the only one! ;) :rotfl2:

That's really cute! I like how the sailboat almost looks like a little smiley face.

Wow! You are so clever! It looks great and I love how you personalized it!

I love those fabrics together, great job!!

As you may have guesed from Teresa's comment earlier, my appointment with the new hematologist did NOT go well! It was a complete waste of my time. I got there and she starts looking at my chart on the computer and she asks "Did they ever find out why you had that super huge (yes she said super huge) blood clot in your portal vein?" I said "Because I have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome." She said "Oh!" She didn't even know what was wrong with me, or why I was there!!!!! She knew absolutely nothing about it, and just kept telling me "I think you'll be just fine." when I mentioned the extreme fatigue and sometimes excruciating pain I have in my muscles. When I left, I went out to my car and cried. She's the 4th doctor I've been to about this and none of them seem to think it's a problem for a 33 year old to have debilitating muscle pain, for days at a time, for no apparent reason. Okay, that was way more than you guys probably wanted to know. But, I'm really frustrated with the whole situation.
sorry about that. How very frustrating.
My lil sister has HeliCo Bactor disease and it took forever and like 7 doctors later for them to figure it out ... i hope that things work out for you soon ...

I love what you did. I have a cousin who is 7 with Dandy Walker Syndrome. Her wheelchair is very similar to Colby's. I'm going to share your pictures with her grandmother (who has custody) and my Mother, I think we could do something similar. Thanks for sharing.

I actually have 3 boys and all are afflicted with foot and ankle issues. You wouldn't notice it in a normal daily situation. Their issues appear if they over use their feet. They have acute leg pain which results in them being in enough pain that they can't even sleep. The younger 2 both have wheelchairs now, which we have to use for amusement parks and trips to the mall etc. Anytime where they would be on their feet for extended periods of time. We had ds10's chair last year and made a canopy and cover for it. That chair is set up totally different so the canopy that we repurposed this year simply would not fit that chair. I'm sure you will be able to come up with something, but be prepared to think outside the box. Let me know if you need any help.
