[Newsies]

I have a Disney box. Does anyone else have this? There are items which we only use when at Disney so I just put them all together in a box and take them out when I start packing.

I use my Minnie Mouse suitcase! My ears and park bags are already carefully packed away, as well as the few graphic t-shirts that I only wear to Disney!

Hey all, just wondering if anyone can suggest how long can we expect to spend at Rafiki Planet Watch at Animal Kingdom. Two adults and a 3 year old. is 90 minutes reasonable? Trying to make my plan on touringplans and not sure whats reasonable to put in for that area.

60-70 minutes seems to be more reasonable for Rafiki's Planet Watch with a 3 year old.

Just discovered this thread. My cousin and I will be going 8/11 - 8/24 and staying at ASMu. I haven't been since 2010 and am very excited! We'll be doing MNSSHP for the first time ever on 8/20.

My little guy is 3 and he loved Rafiki's last summer before it closed. He was 2 and loved meeting the characters, and Affection Section was a big deal for him. Plus if you have a FP or somewhere to be, leaving some time for the train and walking to where you're going is a safe bet. So I would lean toward 90, personally. There weren't a lot of kids there the day I'm thinking of and Doc McStuffins walked him around and spent a lot of time with him. Plus we had to drag him away from Affection Section for a FP, or he would have stayed longer.

I don't expect him to follow directions at all, LOL, but we are going to try the new drawing class FP in Aug. He'll be pushing 4 and may just be happy to sit and scribble in the A/C for a while. If we need to dart out, we can.

I have 2 drawers in our guest room dresser that are all for WDW - magic bands, Disney clutch, themed shirts, paper towels with dawn in them for washing those reusable cups, glow sticks that we've collected over time, crafts to travel with... love it!

I have two small plastic bins, and a drawer with Disney only stuff in them.

What types of things do you keep in the Disney box? Just curious.

We started ours back when we used to stay onsite, so we have a toaster in there that we used to take with us for quick breakfast in the room. We keep magic bands, hand wipes and clorox wipes in small travel packs, folding cubes that we use in our room to drop the stuff out of our pockets into at night (like keys, wallet, money etc.) so it is easy to find in the morning, Disney gift cards left over from the previous year, etc.

Can you add us to the list? We will be at Caribbean Beach from August 2 - 9! So excited

I think, allowing for the train ride out there and back, that 90 minutes is reasonable. Of course, with a 3 year old, you never know. It might turn out to be the hit of the park, and you end up spending much longer there than expected. Flexibility is key with little ones.

How’d you do? I had a hard time compared to previous trips. I still need to tweak them. I’m hoping more SDD & 7DMT opens up. I was surprised to see BTMRR out of fastpasses on 60+1.

We couldn't get BTMRR at 60+1 days out either (out of FP all day!) And we couldn't get SDD for any time at 60 + 2, but that's ok. We got everything else we wanted at the times we wanted, but lack of BTMRR also surprised me.

Yup, bought mine at the dollar store. Used colored markers to make it "Disney" and I absolutely love it. I carry my Fuel Rod, drink mixes. My pockets are full of stuff, and I dump it all in that cube so it doesn't fall off the night table and make a big mess, plus it is quick and easy to grab it all in the morning to load my pockets back up.

So not far. lol I did see a shirt I liked. DD6 has a cute Jack Skellington dress that she could wear. But I'm wondering if we should at least be themed together.

Costumes are a hot topic at my household, too.

Mom is going to be Minnie Mouse for sure-- she's got the dress/shawl, a hat and shoes. At first, dad wanted to be chief smokey miller, but we all convinced him the costume he was trying to accomplish was far too hot for August at Walt Disney World, even at night. That leaves DSis and I.

At first, the two of us were going to do matching costumes, but I'm not even sure I want to do one. Having been to two MNSSHPs already, I know that they can be a hassle to put together and wear for a whole evening in the Florida heat. If we end up doing costumes, they're going to be something simple. We think we're going to be Maddie and London from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, or Gabby Gabby and Forky.

I will be staying off property at the Clarion Lake Buena Vista. It's a pet friendly hotel and I will be bringing my dog with me.
