Sparking up the Romance at WDW...A March 2013 trip report for Lovers:)Update3/22pg9

Time is ticking and I feel like I planned too soon! I feel like there is nothing else to plan...besides our plane tickets.... :confused3 Zac is in charge of them and he is dragging his feet. Our options are to fly out March first and arrive at 10:10pm, stay at All star Sports, check out in the Morning, then check back in in the morning then go to the parks. OR Fly out March Second, and arrive at or around noon, check in and go directly to the park. I like the whole idea of going the first so i can sleep in and start Disney right!!! :)

However I guess there is some planning or research to do. The first day is an Epcot day, and we will be paying out of pocket for food that day. I'm thinking I want to try the ESPN bar for a late lunch... anyone ever ate there? Can you give me a review? Also, I think this will be the day we get a little tipsy :). Love my frozen drinks from France, and I want to try the Margarita bar from Mexico. Also the frozen beer I heard of. Yummm.

I haven't eaten there but I heard or read a review of it recently (I think it might have been on the DIS Unplugged podcast but not positive) and they really enjoyed it.

I really want to try some of the slushies in France this time! I also love the Rosa Regale wine in Italy. Epcot is the best place for getting a little tipsy ;)

I know what you mean about kind of running out of things to plan...

Hi Brandi! Another reader here! I'm SO excited I found your ptr. My DB and I are going March 4-9 so we'll be there too! He's never been exposed to the Disney magic before so I can mold him like putty to be a Disney lover like me!

I thought Epcot was too, we are going to Epcot the first day and I want to do a lot of the Showcase that day since we are missing rope drop. So Im VERY thankful for the transportation.

I started planing my outfits, my bags, my spray tan... haha thinking of the much needed planing. Oh and a DIET plan. I want to get back into the gym now that my craft shows are over!

How exciting! We will be there at the same time! Do you have a PTR? Any ADRS? It is a lot of pressure with him not being in love with Disney already. I have to make sure the things I'm planning are things he will like.

Ugh don't remind me! I'm pulling the whole "I'll start dieting after the holidays are over" thing right now...

Right ?!? I'm super pumped. I'm getting the Zumba Core for Christmas. I most certainly need it! :) And now that knitting is all over i can focus on getting my weight down.

So, A little about me, my FAVORITE disney Movie is Beauty and the Beast. My number 1 villain is Gaston. I have read reports that he now has a meet and great!!!! :worship: :) Has anyone seen when he is out or where? And is there like an app for you to get that list?

Also any good Disney books to read? I have an amazing nook that I barely use anymore. Would love a book or 2 to read.

I looked up the weather for March and it looks like high of 79. That is amazing. Lots of shorts, going to need a spray tan and sun screen.

Is it just me or s everyone else to excited to think about anything else when they decide to plan a trip. I have spent all weekend on the dis, reqding menus, trips ptr, findin gb out what days are emh, etc. 4 months to go, hopefully I can make it. Its 2:50am roght now, and im up reading budget board. Oh and stressing about diet. I used to work aat gym and have a pretty hot lit bod. Now I work at an office and we munch on all things bad. i just want to look super good in pictures, and be able to accomplish all that walking without wanting or needing to take breaks. I told Zac we need to work on our speed walk for rope drop for tsm, soarin, little mermaid, etc. .. Anywho going to try to get some sleep... night dis

You are not alone, I booked my trip for us Last month and all I do is read the DIS and I am currently on the WDW site to see if any promotions open up, we are still very far out, We have booked 2 ressies, 1 for me and the girls 2 days prior to hubby meeting us. October 6th -12, so far we are looking at AOA for the 1st leg and then change toCBR or AoA suite for the remainder days although I am so hopping to do WL Club Level if I can get free dining.

so far I have changed it 3 times and I am sure a hundred more before I hit the 45 day mark and then get charged or changing :rotfl:
I am so hapy for you and I will keep my finger crossed that he loves it as much as you do...after all who wouldnt? :rotfl2:

Zac and I are baseball fans. We normally go to a couple Tiger games (parents season ticket holders) I was looking at World Wide of Sports events page and I saw that Spring training starts the week we are there! I looked at the days and the day we arrive we have no plans and a game is going on! I am going to surprise him with tickets for a Braves vs Washington game. :) I think I am not going to tell him anything and on the plane I will surprise him with Tickets and a shirt. Think that sounds good? Or should I send it down to All Star Sports and have it there for him when we check in? I'm not good with surprises, this is going to be hard!!

Pretty excited to say I am only 332 away from being paid off. :cool1:

I have just purchase my first pair of shoes for Disney, I have heard great things about Sperrys.

And I also got this super cute Disney bead for Christmas

We booked with Spirit air, and I didn't realize that you had to pay for carryons too. So with Carry ons (1) Checked bags (2) and on the way down preferred seating ( big seats that are 2 per row instead of 3, and more leg room) round trip cost 715.00 That is arriving by 11 on the first and leaving at 8pm on the 8th. My Ideal times! (non stop too, which will help with Zac's belly)

Overall it has been a great weekend. I can wait to start buying clothes to take! OH and I got Zumba core for the Kinect, cant wait to start that tonight!!

For Christmas we got an iPad. I have never been so in love with technology:worship: I download the Dis, of course but also a app from Disney. It shows you wait times, you can put your plans in it as we'll as adrs and see timing for fireworks, parades, etc :)

Thank you for the kind words... He is starting to warm up to it now that I'm encouraging.him to go shopping for it :)

I understand all about the changing of plans. My disney specialist prolly thinks im nuts! I change my mind abput the resturants because of the menu choices. Like crt, I wantes dinner there but hated the menu :S. Doesnt help that Zac doesnt eat cheese noodles, gravy... The list goes on! I really wanted to stay at aoa, but ithink all star.sports is more his.cup of tea :) hope you had and are having a great holiday

Congrats on the iPad! I have the Disney app on my Kindle Fire, it looks really useful for planning and being in the parks!

Thank you, I might have to load it on my phone too. I don't want to bring the iPad into the prks. Hope you had a good new year.

I hope you have an amazing trip!!! Sometimes I think planning it is as fun as living it!

Tickets for the first went down even more. Ughhhhh 1 more paycheck until I can buy them!!

Today I was a tough day full of crying. I had a break down of being afraid that I am not going to be able to afford this trip. Zac asked if I was mad at myself for jumping the gun amd planning it. And I took my frustration out on him amd told him I was made at him because he hasnt been setting any $ aside for his portion. Ugh why does money have to be the root of all evil?!

I know how you feel about being able to afford the trip. I can be bad at saving money and I feel DBF is putting no effort into saving as well. I have 3 weeks to save $1,200 and right now it seems impossible!! I had a good chunk saved but of course things came up and I never was able to pay it back, I SHOULD of just started making weekly payments, which I'm doing now, I try not to stress too much because I want to enjoy the planning stage. I know when the time comes everything will work out, 3 weeks is better than 1 week right?? Good luck on everything!!!

Cute report! I love the headbands, so you don't mess up your hair with a hat. I will have to order one! Congrats on having the flights booked!
