Hello, I am Brandi and I am super excited to tell everyone that I am planning a trip to Disney in March of 2013. Why am I so excited you may ask?!?! Well let me give you 3 reasons...

1) It is WDW of course!
2) I wasn't planing on going till fall of 2014
3) DB (Zac, you will find out more about him later) Is not a WDW fan. He has been to Disney once and never set foot into the parks, just rode the train and the Monorail. He agreed to this trip and I agreed to show him everything Magical about Disney.

Here is the crew that is going on this trip this time around.

Me, Brandi, a 25 year old WDW lover, love all things Disney, Turkey legs, Mickey Mouse Ears, and Especially all things princess.

Here is DB, Zac. Zac is a fill time college student studying Civil Engineering. He graduates this year. I can not wait to start my future with him. We have been together for a 1 and a half. He is my world, however in order to have that future, I need him to participate in WDW trips. So this is going to be a new adventure for the both of us.

Next Post, Some Planning.... My first time planning everything, normally my mom plans and books everything. I am in charge and feeling the heat!!!

Db and I are booking the 6 day 5 night stay and play. We have decided to fly out on March 2nd. (flights still yet to be determined). We want to fly out in the money so we can arrive by 1, and take the ME to all sports. (figured most guy appropriate since he is still not sold 100% on the trip. I have decided. To stay an additional night to get more out of our passes and not feel rushed the last day. We added dinning plus and park hoppers.

Our first vacation plans as of now
Mach 2,2012 to March 8, 2012
Packaged booked 6 day 5 night stay and play
Hotel Disney All Sports
Options added 6day hopper, dinning plus, and additional night.

Next update to come......how decisions made :) hope I have a follower, would love to talk to someone :confused3

Oh, my fingers are crossed for you that he ends up falling in love with Disney World! Or at least enjoys it. My DH isn't crazy about WDW, but he at least likes it when I can convince him to go!

And I'll be following along now! I know how hard it can be to get people to read your PTR, I just started mine as well! :goodvibes

So awesome! I'll have to come read yours!! When are you going?

I'm sure he will love it as soon as the planning starts, adrs which parks which days, etc :). Glad to have you on board :cool1:

April 2013! We're going with my parents and my brother. And I know my DH definitely likes the food - though he doesn't get involved in the planning process at all, once he's there he loves to eat! ;)

We are going in March too! The 16-23. I hope that he falls in love with Disney. I'm sure that by staying and seeing all the World has to offer he will. Have fun planning I think it's the best part.

How exciting! I just started my PTR as well, it'll be fun to follow along with others who are in the same stages of planning. I'm aiming for an April trip myself. Can't wait to hear more about your trip plans!

See this is my first trip with out family and just a boyfriend (never been with a bf) I can't wait to see how romantic it is going to be. Like watching wishes and cuddling :) Im a romantic at heart and cry over everything, just an fyi...

Anywho, YAY Readers!!!

So it's a Tuesday at work and I get on FB to see that they, WDW, are running a stay and play promotion. I look at it and its for a family of 4. I get bummed and post something staying DO A COUPLE SPECIAL PLEASE!!!. Someone, an angel from heaven, replied... you can use this for 2 too! I immediately go to WDW bookings website and price a trip. 1560.40, for 6 days, 5 nights... dining plus, and park hoppers. I immediately text DBF and let him know, Initially I wanted to go over Valentines day, but due to his school schedule and him wanting to be a role model student he said he would agree to go as long as we do it over his spring break. I ran around the office and shouted to everyone. That is the happiest I have been in for about forever. Ever since then I have been mapping out how much i need to save every month. Here is the so called budget I have right now.

Flights- looking to be about 723$ for 2 people round trip
Stay and play- 1560$
Additional night-149$ (still haven't asked about this but It is this amount for just 1 night)
play money 1000$ (for the both of us, I know this is a lot since we don't have to pay for food when we are down there, but I want to be able to do what WE want to do.)

That puts us at roughly 3500$ which means we need to save 858$ a month. which is 429$ a person. It's do able but I really need to start crunching pennies and I really need to get another job especially since Christmas is right around the corner. Any ideas for saving money? I thought about opening a savings account to start putting money into it. We are starting the saving process the first day of November.

I think a savings account is a good idea, as even a little bit of interest can help! Here are some of the things that we do. For every paycheck, we have a set amount that goes into our savings. Our biggest spending issue is eating out, so we try to make an effort to cook at home. Also, we are starting a jar where we put in $2 for every day that we don't go out to eat. It's much less than we'd spend on eating out, but it helps as something we can put towards the vacation - you could do more or less a day depending on your needs and situation. I also have the Disney credit card, so at least when I spend money I get some Disney dollars out of it too! I don't do extreme couponing but I do keep an eye out for things I know I'll be buying, and I get some deals from Groupon and Living Social. Just got a groupon for VistaPrint to order our Christmas cards which will save us some $$!

It can be tough - we aren't big spenders to begin with so it becomes more difficult to scale back. People always say, "give up the daily cup of coffee from Starbucks in the morning," "paint your own nails instead of going to the salon," etc., but those aren't really things we do. So we have to look for other areas to cut back.

Is it just me or s everyone else to excited to think about anything else when they decide to plan a trip. I have spent all weekend on the dis, reqding menus, trips ptr, findin gb out what days are emh, etc. 4 months to go, hopefully I can make it. Its 2:50am roght now, and im up reading budget board. Oh and stressing about diet. I used to work aat gym and have a pretty hot lit bod. Now I work at an office and we munch on all things bad. i just want to look super good in pictures, and be able to accomplish all that walking without wanting or needing to take breaks. I told Zac we need to work on our speed walk for rope drop for tsm, soarin, little mermaid, etc. .. Anywho going to try to get some sleep... night dis

Practicing walking is a great idea! I'm lucky I have a dog that needs walking twice a day, otherwise I may not have been able to walk so much on my last trip! :rotfl: I have to thank him for that.

It's not just you!! I had some tedious work to do today, and spent most of it planning out our next trip in my head! And I'm on the DIS all the time, doing everything Disney. I also write for a Disney blog so I have Disney on the brain pretty much all the time :rotfl:

I agree with you about practicing walking. You'd be surprised at what a difference it makes! I'm already preparing myself to not go full-out because my mom will be with us, and she has some hip problems and can't move very quickly. That's okay, I'll be forced to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. I've been jogging lately with hopes of doing one of the Disney races one day - the thought of Disney is the only thing that pushes me on!

i have a dog too, he is my world. Walk was canceled due to the rain :(

More to come tomorrow :)

Monday will be AK day, with EMH in the am, we will be eating at Donalds breakfast and hitting up Downtown Disney after park closes.

Wednesday we will be going to what I still call MGM. :) we will be going to the Sci Fi Drive in Theatre (Still havent decided late lunch or early dinner, and finishing up the evening with Fantasmic. I LOVE Fantasmic, It is my number 1 show. I love the water shows, the boats with the princesses and the boat with all the characters at the end just everything about it.

Thursday is Epcot day. We will be enjoying Future world in the morning and drinking our ways around the countries after dinner until Illuminations. We have reservations at Garden Grille at 5:55p. Garden Grille has always been something I have wanted to try. Especially with the Land of the Living. (will go into more about this at a later time)

We will be finishing up the week at Magic Kingdom. I'm looking forward to the most perfect last day. We will be riding everything and have a reservation at Be Our Guest at 4:05pm. I wanted to do a early dinner so we would be out in time to get our spot for the Main street Parade. My momma taught me well on this! And finishing up the night with Wishes. (Bot of these are my favorite shows) This day is also EMH am. So we will be hitting rope drop.

These are the plans so far. Watching flights like crazy hoping for them to go down.

oh, paid another 100$ today, $$1425.66 to go!!!

Fantasmic is my favourite show as well! Its so dynamic, and I love that you get to see so many different characters, many of which you can't see often in the parks anymore.

Your plans sound wonderful. I'm also very anxious to see Be Our Guest in person. It looks so gorgeous in pictures!

Thank you, I have been stressing to make sure it is perfect. The Disney Specialist that i am working with is AMAZING, her name is Dawn and she is so helpful. She booked all the adrs and I all I had to do is tell her where. She asked if we were celebrating anything and I said nothing, She asked if it was our first time I said it was Zac's and then she asked for our closet hoilday which is our anniversary. She said she would book it under that for extra stuff :) (i feel like I'm lying to Disney!

I haven't decided which room I want at Be our guest, they all are to perfect.
