Our Elf Crew wrote out a long riddle for the kids to find in the morning to send us out on a day of adventourus FUN!! We are first going to a Candy-Cane Scavanger Hunt, then to Lowes to build wooden Gingerbread houses, and maybe to home depot to build little wooden wagons, then home to make our yearly gingerbread houses, and ending the night making paper shoes to set out for St Nicholas!

Ooops! Had a spontaneous adventure last night--DD "accidentally" opened two doors on her advent calendar yesterday, so 'Missy' filled in today's spot with a small Christmas necklace that I found on clearance last January. She tried to tape the door closed and ended up tangled in the tape and was left swinging upside down from the top of DD's dresser. DD thought she was swinging for fun and because she fell off the top of the dresser! :lmao:

very clever!!!!

I am having so much fun with this elf (Frisbee), my DH thinks I'm insane! Well, over this past weekend, my DGS was away, and we told him Frisbee would be waiting for him when he returned, so Sat while I was out, stopped off at the dollar store and got some much fun stuff! Ok- so apparently Frisbee got kind of bored without Jake, so he wrapped his bed in wrapping paper (under the wrapping is a new book on his pillow) Frisbee is sitting on a top shelf, reading a Christmas book, and he brought back a friend (a little stuffed christmas dog) to keep him company. He also hung bells on his doornob, garland on Jake's shelves, put snowflakes all over the room. Can't wait to see Jake's face when he get's back home tonight- Just wanted to give anyone who doesn't already have the idea.

This elf is hysterical.

Last night Missy got out all of DD's musical instruments--she and the reindeer started a band! We are all still wondering how we slept through all the 'music' last night! :rolleyes1

bertie wrote some christmas cards and went to the post office with them yesterday, he has "just got home" and will be here when the boys get home from school.

he "apparently" saw the kids school play on monday as well - he has made comments about their singing and what they were dressed as!!!

We are in Iowa and got about 14 inches of snow last night and apparently Frankie though it was pretty cool because he made about 100 paper snow flakes and placed them all over the house....

Our elf Kevin has been here since the day after Thanksgiving. He hasn't really done anything too crazy just yet but I'm thinking he's going to start acting out....thanks for all of the ideas again this year! :goodvibes

The elves brought the kids a giant activity/coloring book, they colored them a picture and left a note for them to color some too to decorate the house

Last night the elves got into the remaining candy canes from the Candy Cane Hunt the kids did on Saturday, they left a big stack of wrappers behind!

Tonight the elves brought the kids a new DVD, Santa Buddies. They invited the kids' dogs to preview the movie with them.

They left a note saying they searched the whole house but could not find any popcorn but they did find a stash of Candy in moms dresser, and thought that candy bones would be a great treat for them and their new friends while they watched the movie

I am loving everyones elf capades! We have done some with the elf...maybe not as much as some of you, but we are tryign!

Last night Jingles, our elf, decided to wrap the living chair up and he apparently got stuff in the paper! DD6 thought is hillarious. Jingles was hanging from the ceiling fan the night before, has wrapped one of our trees in toilet paper, had a tea party with some of the Christmas bears and even found a nice cozy sleeping place in a stocking!

no idea if this has been mentioned already because I have not read all 11 pages... anyhow, it's super cool. :) it's a videogram from santa to your child. (it's free) you fill out the info, add a picture and presto... there is your child in either the good book or the naughty book...

I wish my kids were still young, I would love to do this. Mine are 21 and 23, I guess I will have to wait for Grandbabies

Hey guys! I have never heard of this before. I'm going to try and look for and elf today and get started this weekend! Thanks for the ideas and the pictures are too funny!!!

All my wife does is point to "Horation" and my two year old stops and gets quiet...don't know what she told him while I was gone:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well we have a lot of Christmas trees in our house (9)...well there was one in the entry that we had not decorated yet. Well our elves did it for us. Their decorations included the following:

Toliet Paper as ribbon
DS's tennis shoes
Random socks
DS's football helmet as a tree topper
Candy wrappers

I think we may just leave it like that all season!
