Sandra, have you considered booking WDW through one of the specialised Disney travel agencies. I think Dreams Unlimited is a sponsor of the disboards and I have read good things about them. But there are others, too. I used them for both my trips to WDW and found it much easier than having to deal with a call center in the US. Especially because they also make all your ADRs. They shipped all the documents to me in Germany without any additional charge. It was great to have one person deal with all besides air fare and rental car.

Actually, I haven't. I was planning on booking through the WDW-website, and I know someone who works at concierge of one of the deluxes, and I kinda hoped he would be able to book my tours. I really don't feel like calling the US... They never understand me :( and having to spell my name and address is always... a battle!
Oh, we don't really need ADRs, that's a part we will "wing". It will be F&W festival, and I like WDW CS, so... I'm kind of relaxed about all that.
But thank you very much for the tip. I will check out their website!

Hi guys,

not had a very good 24 hours. About 8pm last night i found my little cat Mushu outside my house in a lot of pain. My neighbour said she thought he had been hit by a car. We took him to the vet and she said his leg was seriously fractured, possibly his pelvis too, and his breathing was bad so his lung may be punctured or have blood in it.

It was a horrible decision, but I decided to put him down. Even if we had paid for treatment he may not have survived, and may not have had a great life.

He was such an adorable and fun cat, a real character, and I'm going to miss him dreadfully. We had him for less than 12 months, but he really enriched our lives just being around.

Sorry to post such an off-topic thread, but I know how supportive you guys are here.

To Mushu.

I'm sorry for you :grouphug:

With the travel agents I used, I only talked to them on the phone once and that was to tell them my credit card details as I was not comfortable sending it by email (and both very really very nice and making an effort to understand me!). Otherwise we only had contact by email and that was great. I can totally understand why you do not like calling the US! That's the reason why I was so happy not to have to call to make ADRs. Also a travel agent will monitor any codes that might come out for your stay and call as early as possible to get them change your reservation so that the code applies. But anyway, whatever method you choose to book your stay: Have fun!! :goodvibes

Hi everyone. Got back at 5pm from our extended trip. So many highs and first which I record on my trip report.

BTW Sandra great news on the WDW trip :goodvibes

To Mushu.

I am so sorry to read this. :sad1:

Having to make a decision like that is one of the worst ones you will ever have to make in life, please feel reassured that you did the right thing and that Mushu will now be happy at Rainbow Bridge. :cloud9:

Sending you :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Yesterday, I filled in the form on their website to get a quote, and they sent me a quote, the same as on the WDW-site. I think I might use the TA, because of the ADRs (although we maybe need 2... but still).
Do you know if they also make reservations for tours? Well, I guess I could email them and ask them directly, lol. From the moment I have decided at which hotel I want to stay (AS Music or POP), I will contact them and make my reservation through them.

So thank you very very much for bringing this option to my attention!!

thanks ware bears, it is really sad but i know he's up there having a ball!

thanks for everyone's kind words, you're all fab.

British Airways have found one of our missing suitcases :cool1: :cool1: but have destroyed it as there had been a bottle of wine in the case which had smashed(the bottle was well wrapped in bubble wrap!!) as they cannot return it due to health and safety:scared1:

Can it get any worse............... The saga continues

Jackie, I've already commisserated over on UKCB but I'll do it again here as I think you really do need :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I am going to worry myself witless something like his will happen to us now as I never wanted to fly in October.......or else we will get fogbound and be unable to leave the airport!

I'm sure you will be fine Elaine. Hopefully lightening doesn't strike twice :grouphug:

Fingers and everything else crossed, I hope not! :rotfl: I'm more concerned about the fog as Southmpton is prone to it at that time of year. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I think the problems come if you have a connecting flight through Heathrow at the moment. We have flown many many times with no problems so I am sure you will be fine ;)

My five year old son will have been to Walt Disney World three times before our trip to Paris in April of 2008. Would he still like DLP? He loves pirates and meeting the characters - envent he Princesses!!! How many days do you need to see everything? Thank you.

I can't see any reason why he wouldn't still love it. DLP has all the charm- perhaps even a little more detail to magic in some places. The only slight obsticle may be language barrier, but that shouldn't affect his enjoyment of the rides/ shows.

I would say you probably need 3 days to do both parks and enjoy the disney feeling, especially if you're going during low season. By the way, you'll love it too :rotfl:

Of course now I am frightened that you might end up having a really bad experience ... :scared1: No, really, I am certain that everything will be great! I think your TA should be able to book tours for you as well, but as you said, best you ask them directly! :goodvibes

I have stayed at neither POP or the All Stars, but last trip was considering a value resort to begin with (we ended up at the AKL :rolleyes1 ) and came to the conclusion after much research that I would prefer POP.

Ema - you're such a star!! The park maps arrived yesterday and totally cheered up a truely horrid monday!! They have been safely stored away with all the other goodies for my DBF's surprise box for the Eurostar journey to DLRP in December (after I had a quick peek at them of course :) )

Thank you soooooooo much
