We are doing land/sea early Dec, 2005. I have been thinking that the kids would be to tired to stay late so the $ wouldn't be worth it. What have you guys experienced? I hate to spend the extra money if we are headed back to the hotel at 9. But if we stay late will they be to tired to enjoy the next day? What time does does MK close on those nights for regular guests? We have 4 day park hoppers and I was planning on 2 full days at MK, 1 AK and 1 MGM. Kids didn't care for Epcot in July. They will be 7 & 4. Thanks for your thoughts. Tricia
We did it one year when my now DD8 did not have school that day. She was fine till midnight that year. Last year, we left Tampa at 2 pm after a day at school and drove over. She was wiped out by 9 and dragged till 10:30, when we left. Think it works if they rest during the day, but not after a full day

Hi! We went to the last party offered on the 17th. We had a great dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. All of the Characters were dressed in Holiday Garb**Definitely worth it. It was cool seeing it snow on Main Street, but we had also been to the MNSSHP in October. The MNSSHP was a lot more fun! The atmoshere was much more party-like and the energy level was high! At the MVMCP, it just seemed a little like the late nights at the park that were already scheduled for the week before Christmas. You won't have the late nights in early December, but the party atmosphere just wasn't as charged up as the Halloween Party had been. It was a little bit of a let down, since I had expected the Christmas Party to have blown us away! The Parade wasn't as 'big' as the Halloween Parade was either. That one really rocked! There also weren't enough stations for cookies and hot chocolate like I had expected there to be. It was a nice party, but nothing much more than what you'd get during the Holiday Season anyway. We only lasted until 10:30pm, and probably could have left an 1 hour earlier. My kids were 3yrs old and 11yrs old at the time. It also cost more than the Halloween Party. That's the party that I would recommend for sure to go to! pirate:

I am new to all this Christmas Party talk. Are all the restaurants open at the MK. If the park closes at 5 p.m. and then reopens at 7 p.m., are you allowed to stay in and dine???

Thanks for all the info! Now I need to find the time to sit down and read all 63 pages of this great thread!!!

Tony's, the Castle, CP and LTT are open till 6:00p and only LTT is open all evening. The others will take PS till 5:30p - 6:00p. If you are not attending the party, don't make a PS any later than 5:30p so you won't feel rushed. They will escort you out when you are done if you do not have a party ticket or wristband.

The park closes at 6:00p to non-party guests and from 6:00p to 7:00p they clear the park of non-party guest.

If you're not in the park at closing time, I'm guessing that you can't get in until the 7 p.m. opening? If you have a wrist band, you're okay. Is it way more beneficial to be there BEFORE MK closes to the public???

Thanks again,
penny

The gate will be crazy at 7:00p and you'll miss having a head start by coming early.

They let party goers in after 4:00p so as to make the craziness at the gates not quite as bad at 7:00p.

We always enter the park before 6:00p to get a head start on the night.

We arrived at the MK around 4 or 4:30ish . Our PS's were for 5:30 at LTT. We were all able to go in the disabled entrance since my FIL was in a wheelchair, and they gave us our wristbands right there at the gate.

Anybody know of a MVMCP 2005 post? We are going to go this year, and I was wondering of a thread anywhere that was addressing ticket sales, dates, etc.
Thanks!!

Nope, not yet. One does need to be made though!!

The dates are on this board somewhere...

They are: Nov 27, 29, Dec 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20

Don't know when they'll go on sale yet but last year it was May 1.

Thanks for the info...anyone up for starting the thread for 2005 info?? I know nothing, never been, etc.

I just PM'd the original poster of this thread who is also a moderator, and who has the ability to 'sticky' the thread at the top and asked him/her to start a 2005 MVMCP thread.
