How's this for a LARGE picture?!

AWESOME!!!! :p :p :p

KIMMAR...(LOL, tongue out of cheek for a moment....) Nah...I'm just "Sayin' it like it IS"! He He....:p  ;)

FYI
I just booked The Swan at Club Level including tax for 200.00 a night thru dreams unlimited. I hope this is a good deal??? Or maybe I should go to the Poly like I wanted to and pay $300.00 and up for conc. Oh well just have to settle for The Swan. Now really I'm glad I came across this thread. Currently booked at POR for 8 nights in Aug. Planned on changing to the Poly, but now it's the Swan.

The best review I've ever read. And my DH was just saying last night that we aren't Swan & Dolphin people. He thinks that since we're just there to sleep the AS are just fine with him. The princess in me wants more!!! I want chocolates, too!

Keep on writing. :jester:

Thanks for the nice comments! If you are "Only there to sleep", as DH says...the SWAN should be FINE! If, you were looking for the DISNEY-MAGIC, or DISNEY-FEELING...I would say "stick with the AS"...at LEAST they are DISNEY-OWNED. :p (Chocolates RULE!) ;)

Mrs. A.~$200 for SWAN CL through DU? GREAT DEAL! But...you should STRONGLY consider the non-Disney thing here. That extra $100 plus you would be paying for the Poly Concierge ALSO buys you the DISNEY-FEELING! It's almost like paying extra for INSURANCE. ;)

madcoco...LOL. Thanks

Why, oh, why would any of you consider staying at such a quality deluxe resort? The conventioneers who were there during my stay had the nerve to be practically invisible! And to add insult to injury, the Club Room was virtually empty each morning we went for breakfast. :D

INDEED, mouseteacher! I only saw these patrons when we went "looking for them" by walking through the convention area...or briefly in the Elevators (which are nearly an ATTRACTION in themselves==butterflies!).

I also agree with your take on the CL lounge! It was close to vacant every time we visited. We were able to have our "pick" of tables and chairs...and the FOOD was OVERFLOWING! There was ample for everyone, and THEN SOME. I much prefer having to stand around balancing a paper plate (as ALL the seats are taken), tediously juggling a beverage and napkin...as I attempt to "spoon" (all the forks are gone), the smashed piece of watermelon (looks as if it is possibly a garnish) into my mouth! Nothing like being the CENTER of attention. I also prefer "Crumbs" to real whole crackers...and dried/old cheese slivers as opposed to fresh sliced swiss, cheddar, brie and gruyere! :p Give me a "good fight" over the LAST COOKIE anyday!! ROTFL! :p :p ;)

AMAZING! "ESPECIALLY" FOR A NON-DISNEY PROPERTY!

This is a Junior Suite/Studio in the WDW SWAN resort. It's completely RENOVATED, with the luxurious "HEAVENLY BED"! "Michael Graves"...at his BEST! Not bad....but give me the ASM resort ANYDAY! :p

Thanks for posting the undesirable nonDisney resort pictures.

Hello to all the Swan and Dolphion cheerleaders! I am looking for hints and sugestions for our stay at the Swan. We had been booked at AKL but I secured the Swan for $81/night 2 rooms for 12 nights on Hotwire! We know nothing about the Swan and LOVE this thread..we are very excited to be saving literally thousands of dollars and still be staying at this deluxe resort that many of you just HAD to put up with. Any ins and outs as far as good room locations, things to not miss, etc would be much appreciated. Got lots of reading to do in the next 45 days!! :)

Wow What a great and creative report.. I too have secured the $81 rate at the Swan for June, Hope to love it as much as you love the Dolphin.. Thanks Michelle

onceuponadream...There are no "Cheerleaders" on this thread. We are all DISAPPOINTED in these NON-DISNEY resorts, masquerading as DISNEY-LIKE "ON" Disney Property! :p

AND...what's with the $81 per eve? Is this a JOKE?!? What kind of resort...on DISNEY-OWNED property, calling themselves a DELUXE resort...gives away rooms at the rate of $81 per eve? These rooms must be located in the CLOSET...or will not be available when you arrive...so, you'll be escorted to the nearest motel-6 like property for your stay! LOL. No DISNEY-OWNED DELUXE property would be accessible for this rate...EVER!

(* comments of this poster are merely a matter of personal opinion, and may be saturated with facetious intentions). :p

OH! You got me good DF!

I was on the Magic on 3/29 - 4/5 and then at the Dolphin 4/5 - 4/7

I just saw this post today, and I read all the way through your post before I realized 4/1!

Good one BTW - we had one of those awful 2 room suites at the Dolphin. I cannot stand having a sofa anad 2 living room chairs, a wet bar, king bed, 2 double beds, table, chairs I mean we did not have to be on top of each other each time we tryed to move around. And who can really stand having 2 bathrooms - It is so...................................

Ok, ok. You guys are getting to me now.. Please, please tell me what the going rate is for one of these 2 room suites at the Dolphin.

I'm booked at the BCV for early November, but all of this talk is wearing me down. I'll be there with my dad and 3 daughters ages 7, 5 and 2. Will they REALLY be as happy at the Dolphin as at the BCV???

Please, please, please share what will it cost me????

I haved a Excutive suite...some have 2 bedrooms...I think that is what Trekker is describing....the rack rate I think is about $1300 but in Dec the AAA rate was $600 per night...right now I have 2 nights on points...(20,000 per night) and I'm hoping to switch the last night to points before the year is up. They sound like wonderful rooms...

If anybody knows any exact locations of an executive suite with a great view of Epcot please PM me I'd love to add to my request...

Actually, I think Trek is talking about a jr. suite, which runs about $400 rack rate a night. The exec. suite is bigger and more $$$. The cost will vary depending on any discounts you can acquire before then. They take entertainment cards, AAA, teacher/nurse/gov. rate(1/2 off) and sometimes they have specials such as those going on right now and are about to end....$139/n. (more for a jr. suite). I wouild love to be able to stay in an exec. suite! I think Dreamflight asks for an exec. suite on the far east wing on floors 6 and up.

Trekker PM'd me he is talking about the same room DF99 was describing....The prices I listed were for Christmas season...So, I'm sure they are a little less during other times of the year....

Looks like I'm closing in on the area of Exec suites to request...

Not sure if this made it in the thread somewhere but Swan and Dolphin are giving discounts to people with Disney AP's! Take that in the chops :teeth: Ei$ner!!!

Thanks
