I got my $130 credit. It was a quick swiff every couple of days. I didn't mind at all.
I'm going to bring my Roomba.

Great idea!
Oh, is it loud? I don't have one, so I have no idea. I want one though.I think I may break the room etiquette rules though.
Part of the fun of a vacation to me is not having to clean or cook for as long as we're away. No swiffer for us. And no opting out of housekeeping either.I got my $130 credit. It was a quick swiff every couple of days. I didn't mind at all.

I guess you might trip security if/when they enter.
I actually like the new rooms and décor much better than the old. The wallpaper and bedspreads were just hideous - sorry JMHO and we waited for the rooms to be refurbed in most of the deluxes, ie: GF, BWI, Poly and CR before ever staying in any of them.

We stayed in a POFQ refurbed room this summer. I hated all the brown and beige. And I hated the bare floor.
Entire room. I hated walking around on it. And the room just looks unfinished to me. Bed runners would make a huge difference. So is the entire room at POFQ done in the vinyl fake wood? At least in the BWV studio reno they limited it to the bathroom vanity, closet and kitchenette and the rest of the room has carpet, tile in the shower/tile area. I noticed the vinyl stuff has ridges throughout. Doesn’t seem to holding up too well. Maybe already ready for another redo.
So, I don't think anyone thinks the "before" photos with the tacky bedspreads and the overdone curtains are "better". Those rooms were completely outdated and ready for a refresh. It just seems that when they refreshed them, they missed an opportunity to make them fabulous and "Disney" without necessarily using tacky bedspreads or overdone curtains. Like @mom2rtk we stayed at the Hotel Disneyland and absolutely loved our fireworks bed frames. And that is completely compatible with clean duvets and floors. It just seems that the light fixtures, bed, furniture, prints, etc., could be anywhere.

It definitely needs something. But they probably consider a rug a tripping hazard. The one in the Royal room above is fake, designed into the floor carpet.Perhaps an area rug would be good there.
The renovated CSR rooms look so much better then the renovated POFQ rooms.
