Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Ok...I'm at the Grand Floridian Cafe...anyone ready to eat?:woohoo:

Hi Donna...yikes that is a tough decision. Seeing the price difference I'm thinking just go with the fact that you won't be in your room that much. I could see how having a refrigerator would be good for Gary and his diet. Good luck with that decison.pixiedust:pixiedust:

Hey Michele...DS doesn't have a brace or anything like that for his knee. He's going to start playing some summer baseball. Hopefully his pain will be minimal. Football starts in August. Your kids sound very busy. I'm sure Nick is enjoying the 'positive' comments from the girls! I can't wait to see pics of Lilly at WDW...hope she finds our special princess!princess:

We are off to pick up some glasses...hope everyone is having a great week.:)

Happy Friday, everyone!!:cool1::cool1:

Gary did make it to the specialist yesterday and is very happy with him. The dr. told Gary that his family dr. is not doing anything different than what he would be doing with the exception of leaving him on the medication that had made him so sick for so long.
We are to visit a dietician in six weeks; hopefully that will give me more insight into what he is actually supposed to be eating and not just guessing.:rolleyes1

This weekend is a tournament about 3 hours away from here and are leaving early tomorrow morning.

YM:: Thanks for the yummy treat. The chocolate wasn't bad either!!:laughing:popcorn::
I hope the new glasses worked out. Who was the lucky person?

Just in case you were all worried about my dryer; it got fixed yesterday!! I really did not want to have to buy a new clothes dryer right now!:sad2:

I called Disneyland reservations yesterday to see if they had any AAA rates or would take pitty on a WDW passholder.......the CM just giggled.:upsidedow
There was a pretty decent Disney Visa promo going on, so I booked Paradise Pier for our trip!!:cheer2:
I explaiined to Gary my concern for being a little too far away from the parks, with Nathan and I possibly riding the bus alone and he told me to do what I thought was best and the food/kitchen shouldn't be an issue.
I must say that the CM I talked to on the phone was named Linda and later I wondered if that was "our" Linda. She seemed so upbeat and cheerful!!:cutie:princess::goodvibes

Well, had better get to moving this morning.
Does anyone have special plans for the 4th of July. I guess we will be spending ours in beautiful Bloomington, Il.:hippie:

Here's a little offering from the PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier. Who wouldn't love a breakfast with Lilo and Stich??:confused3

PCHgrill_perkis.jpg

I hope you all have a Funtastic Friday!!:yay::yay:

Does everyone have big plans for the 4th?

Our town kinda goes crazy for the 4th:confused3 The parade starts at 9, then there is a carnival all day with fireworks tonight.

My parents, my brother and his family, my mother in law and brother in law are all coming over today.

Managed to get thru the garage sale. Not bad, I got rid of a lot of junk, and made $430 for Disney:cool1:

Have a great one...the sun is finally shining around here:worship:

Oh YM I have to tell you...

Lilly has started calling herself---Princess Lilly

Bree is Queen Briana

and I am ...........Majesty Michele:rotfl2::confused3:lmao:

Hey there guys...remember me:rolleyes1:rotfl2: sorry, its been SOOOOOO busy! class 9-5:30 then major homework after that! I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!! We're headed to Ashland for the hot air balloon festival:cloud9::banana: take care and I promise I'll catch up soon!

Princess Lilly:lovestruc:love: adorable!!!

2x...CONGRATS on your contract:yay::woohoo::cheer2:

Donna...did you say upbeat and cheerful:laughing: glad she was able to book your trip...sounds like it will be so awesome!!:woohoo:

YM...haven't been able to read, but hope all is well my dear:hug:

Lesa, Michele...everyone hope all is well and have a wonderful holiday:love::grouphug:

Good morning, all!:sunny:

We got home last night about 6:45pm. Nathan's team won all five games!! We are so proud of them!

We didn't get to watch fireworks of the 4th, but Nathan and I did a munchie run about 10pm Sat. night and got to see a few in the surrounding area. Gary mentioned that he didn't get to watch any fireworks this year, but I reminded him that he would be able to watch them every night in about three weeks!!:woohoo::woohoo:

I read last night that they had an awful monorail accident at WDW very early on Sun. morning. My heart goes out to the family of the young man that was killed. So very sad.

Michele::I hope you enjoyed the holiday. That's great that your town really gets into the spirit!! How cute!! You need to get name tags or t-shirts made!!

Linda:: I think I remember somebody named Linda on this thread, but I need to think some more. I'm just teasing you!
I hope your family enjoyed the balloon festival.....sounds like fun!!

Had better get breakfast going. My breakfast time flies so fast in the mornings.
How about some Pineapple Macademia Nut Pancakes?

PICT0129.jpg

I hope you all have a Magical Monday!!:tinker::tink::earsgirl:

Just wanted to pop in and say "hi!" - hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

2X2S - congrats on your contract! That is great news!

Linda, it's good to 'see' you - sorry you're so covered up with school. Keep up the good work!

Michele - Princess Lilly - that is SO cute!!

Donna, nice job on the 'upgrade'. yeah, Disneyland isn't so travel friendly if you're not at a hotel right there. I don't blame you for wanting to be closer.

A week and a half and I get to see my girl!!
I'm SO excited! (although not looking forward to the July temps/crowds... remember I'm an OFF season girl)

Good morning, everyone!!

Dznyfan:: I'll bet you are getting so excited to see your "Princess" again.
don't worry too much about the summer heat and crowds. Remember to take the air-conditioned area breaks. The MK is open later; that's the part I love!!
I just had a feeling that we should stay on Disney property and deal with what we know, since I'm not at all familiar with the area. Maybe next trip I'll have more info and can make a better decision. I'm excited to get the trip here!!

Gary has been doing really great with his new meds. We even went out to our favorite little Italian restaurant last night and he had the lasagna....his blood sugar is still in check this morning.
Nathan and I had the pizza and salad. Their pizza is the best in the world. When you take a bite it feels like you're tastebuds are having a party!!:goodvibes

Had better go take care of some laundry.

How about a plate of Jelly donuts this morning?

129-2998_IMG.jpg

don't forget the Kona pressed pot and the fruit, too!!;)

I hope you all have a Thoroughly Awesome Thursday!!:flower3::hippie:

Good Morning!!

Donna..thank you for the lovely breakfast. And served by such a lovely hostess:cool1:

How great that Nathan won all of his games:woohoo: Tell him GREAT JOB!!

Linda..How are you? It's so nice to 'see' you again. How was the balloon festival? Did you go up? I am terrified of heights but did a hot air balloon ride years ago in New Mexico. It was amazing! I never got scared at all. It was so peaceful. We flew along the Rio Grande.:upsidedow

I am starting to get packed for Disney. I can't wait:dance3:

DznyFan...what are your dates? I will PM you. I would love to meet up with you and I want to find out the Princesses schedule.

I hope Lesa is having fun! They were heading to the Wisconsin Dells with my other brother and his family. Sounds like a great time

Lilly is giving up her naps:sad2: We still put her down every afternoon but sometimes it doesn't work. I was watching her yesterday. She was in her crib, not asleep but quietly playing so I left her in there. After about an hour of "quiet time" I went in to get her. She had thrown out all the stuffed animals, all the blankets, taken off her dress and thrown it out, taken off her DRY diaper and thrown it out.......and peed all over her sheets:eek:

Needless to say Gramma wasn't happy!!!:laundy:

Oh, I had my garage sale last week. Only did it Thursday and Friday and managed to make $430!:thumbsup2 I was quite pleased My MIL's block is having a sale this week. My SIL talked her into participating and took a bunch of her stuff over. Last night Blake and I took them some tables, pricing stickers and some of our stuff that didn't sell. We'll see what happens, I don't think either of them have ever had one before. I am sure I will be over there later.

I managed to get my MIL to Matt's football game last night. When my FIL was alive he had no interest so she wouldn't go either:confused3 But now she said she wanted to. She seemed to enjoy it. That was the first time she has seen Matt play since he was in first grade playing flag football.

Have a great day all!!

Good morning!!

Happy Friday, everyone!!

Michele:: Oh my goodness!! sounds like Miss Lilly was bored taking her nap, or rather, NOT taking her nap. Sorry you had to do extra laundry. I think Nathan was about Lilly's age when he decided he no longer needed naps. I could always knew after that, that if he did take a nap he probably wasn't feeling good.
Thanks for the congrats on Nathan's team. They head to the Nationals next weekend for four days; then the summer league will be over.

I went to see "The Proposal" the other night with my sister, niece and one of our friends. I laughed so hard, my sides ached. It's a really cute chick flick and I would recommend seeing it if you get the chance. It has Sandra Bullock in it, but Betty White steals the show!

I think somebody has some pancakes ready and waiting for us.:earboy2:

MickeyPancakeMade.jpg

I hope you all have a Fantasyland Friday!!:dumbo::dumbo::dumbo:

Good Morning and Happy Friday my DIS friends!!

hey guys----

at work, so can't talk, but just wanted to say that I am very starstruck right now--

I just had a new client--we got to talking and she is the wife of the author of "The Kingdom Keepers". felt like I was amongst royalty.:lmao:

gotta run--my next client is here

Good morning, everyone!!

It's a rainy morning here today, but I think we actually needed the rain.
We got the yard about half mowed last night and the trimming is done.

2x2s:: That is so cool about your new client. I think I remember you and Michele talking about the book at the cliqueless meet. I may have to do some googling to see what the book was about. Was it a take on It's a Small world and what the little animatronics do at night?
ETA....I just found it on Wikipedia. I may have to try to find it at the library.

Haven't been up to much. We did eat at Chili's last night. It was pretty good.

I am wanting to do a little last minute shopping for vacation. Next weekend will be taken up with basketballl games.
Gary needs some new shorts that fit him and so does Nathan. I need a new pair of nice white sandals or flip flops.

Why don't we head to the castle for breakfast this morning? .:goodvibesprincess:

mk_crt.jpg

I hope you all have a Super Saturday!!princess:pirate:

Just thought I'd step in and say a quick hello. We are unpacking and cleaning up a little. We had a great time at Great Wolf Lodge. Britt was a little bored, then a little cranky because her phone broke so no texting. Maddie had a great time playing with her cousins. We already booked another stay with their bounce back rate. We booked for next 4th of July but I think I may change it for a winter stay.

We got home last night and we had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows. By the way...Girl Scout thin mints are excellent for making s'mores! :rolleyes1 Better run, laundry is calling my name!:laundy:

Michele I'm glad Blake's mom finally went to one of Matt's games. I know how much that always bothered you guys.

Hi guys!

2X2s - that is too cool about your new client! I didn't know Ridley Pearson was from St. Louis! How exciting!

Lesa, good to see you!

Michele, we are there the 18th thru the 26th. Fine tuning our activities around her schedule!! PM Me!

Good morning, everyone!!

We certainly had our fair share of rain this weekend. I think we needed it, but I'm ready for some sunshine!!:sunny:

Lesa:: Your trip to the Great Wolf Lodge sounds like fun, even if Britt couldn't text.
Your recipe for S'mores sounds pretty good.
I've been trying to catch up on laundry. After we get back Tues. evening from Nathan's basketball national; I'll only have three days to get things cleaned and packed. Thank goodness I can take some things to work to get pressed.:rolleyes1

DznyFan::WOW!! You'll be in florida in five days!!:woohoo: Is E getting home sick? Did her problems get resolved with her roommates? I hope so.
Are you and Michele's family both staying at OKW?

I think I found the perfect breakfast for today.
How about a quick bite form Goods To Go at Old Key West? Then we need to head to the parks!!:yay:

I hop you all have an Extra Magic Hour Monday!! :wizard::smickey:

Donna, yes, actually, we are!
She's homesick and she misses us, but she's also talking about extending her program... I'm not surprised!
Thanks for the great OKW breakfast!

hey all!!!

I am at work and being no showed-----AGAIN!!!:mad:

oh well, what can ya do??

the house is in that negotiating inspection phase, which is driving me batty-----I keep seeing dollar signs to get things that he wants "fixed"-----like plumbing, etc, that I have had no issues with, but they want it because it is an old house.:sad2: I am also in the "picking out" phase of the townhouse, which is exciting, but nerve racking, not only because I want it to look nice, but I also have expensive taste.:snooty::lmao:(cabinets, flooring, etc.) and again, seeing the dollar signs.:scared: (I'm going to rephrase this----seems that anything not basic cardboard is considered an "upgrade".)

On the 4th of July, my parents were over helping me pack a couple of things and I could tell that my mom just wasn't feeling well. For those of you who know my mom, you know that it is unlike her---she is always on the go. Well, about an hour and half into the packing (again, nothing strenuous), she said that she thinks she is having a heart attack. My dad immediately grabs her because she feels faint and I dial 911. She did spend the rest of the weekend in the hospital and they did a cardiac cath that Monday and everything was clear. It is because of her strong family history with heart disease that they insisted on running the tests.
I didn't say anything here, because, well to be honest, I had a hard time talking about it. I just kept hearing her voice in my head of her saying that she thought that she was having a heart attack----- I think that it just really got to me. You all know how close I am to my parents. Anyway, everything is fine, but I told her she is NOT helping my pack anymore. She laughed.

Donna----Lovely pic of you and the donuts----say bye-bye to the red dining room though.:cutie::laughing:

DznyFan---I don't think Ridley Pearson is originally from St. Louis, but they are living here now.
Have fun----say hi to the Princess!!!!princess:

My next client is here, so I have to run. Hi to all!!!! I'll try to catch up soon.:grouphug:

Hi, everyone!!

Just got home from work a little while ago; we actually don't have any where we have to be tonight. What will I do with myself? .....maybe cook.:lmao:

2x2s:: I'm so sorry to hear you mom isn't feeling well, but thank goodness it wasn't a heart attack. Was it stress? Did the drs. really find out anything specific?
Good luck with all the decisions about your new home. I'm sure it's going to look fantastic and worth the extra $$$$$ you're putting into it.

Guess I had better get dinner started before I decide we should eat out.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening!!:wave2:
