So excited to ride this for the first time in September!!!
I think the different perspectives on things are so interesting to read. One influence on me has been how young I was when we first did WDW. No FP's. Lines only... and you waited a loooonnnggg time. Mostly in the heat with no cool line queue... and no smartphones. Just you, your family, and the heat for close to 2 hours to get on.... 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!
You must have been there on a very major holiday. We used to go at that time and before (that ride closed in '94) and hardly ever needed to wait in lines for rides. Definitely was no 2 hr. ones.
When you say get in the line at Park close, what time does that actually mean? Let's say the park close time is listed as 9 p.m. what time can I get in the line still be allowed to wait? It's the best ride in Disney World but I still wouldn't wait 2 hours for it. Either rope drop it or get in line at park close so you can see the whole queue

I have heard of the line for this ride being more than 2 hours at times. Just wondering if this ride lives up to the hype and is worth waiting for?
