A Christmas Extravaganza of auditions, adventures & new friends!-Updated 8/28x3!!

Hey guys!! So Steven & I are currently gearing up for our big Villainous Disney trip that we leave for TOMORROW!!! I'm going to attempt to wrap up Dec's tr pretty quickly, so I can do August while still working on May. If you haven't checked out our May trip report, including some SWW, 24 hr day, tons of Dismeets and lots of fun, it's here:

****************************

After we’d witness whatever was so Totally Tomorrowland, we’d gotten our fill of Christmas Festivities, and were back to our regularly scheduled character greets! There wasn’t much of a line over in the Thoughtful Spot, and we really wanted to meet Eeyore & Piglet, so waiting was not that bad, especially since we had a decent view of the fireworks!

HE’S SO CUTE!!

Now, while we were watching the meet and greets ahead of us go on, there was one point where no one was up yet, and a LOUD and BIG firework went off RIGHT over top of the meet and greet area! It caused Pooh, Eeyore & Piglet to JUMP (literally) and cower in fear, Piglet even hid his face behind his ears, it was just the CUTEST thing. Tigger on the other hand was SO READY for it, and did a really big motion like “you’re out” that an umpire does!

We both got a TON of hugs from everyone and lots of great interaction and were both super pleased that we’d waited for the gang!

And of course it wouldn’t be complete without some bouncing!

We promptly BOUNCED our way out of there and RIGHT over to the entrance to Storybook Circus where Suzy & her parents were watching the fireworks! I’d had the pleasure of meeting Suzy back in September for a quick bit, (and since then have had MANY meals, park days and adventures through Disney, and let me tell you, they are always amazing and she is a perfect human!) and knowing they were at the party that night we figured we’d have to stop to chat! We talked a bit about the evening, Suzy said they’d had a great Prince Phillip interaction earlier, and we exchanged stories of the trip, and I was glad to see that Steven was having no problem chatting away with random Disboard people, bahaha!

Eventually we had to move on, because we had a princess to see! Unluckily, this is the point in the night that I definitely hit a wall, I was tired, hungry and just so done, all I wanted in life was like 10 Uncrustables & maybe a Lapu Lapu….but we were wating for Merida. I also have to say right now that throughout the day, yes, our Disneybounds were AWESOME, and they got a lot of attention from everyone, BUT, by this point I WAS SO DONE with EVERYONE (characters, cms, guests) asking if I could make it snow, or if I wanted to build a snow man, or just really anything Elsa related…..just to preface…

I’m sure the wait wasn’t that bad, but it was brutal for me, I know we had to wait for the fireworks to be done, and from there I honestly don’t remember…hangry was taking over bahah!

Naturally, the topic of Frozen came up (especially since Merida’s friend likes to hang out in Arendelle quite a bit…and actually…was at the Xmas parade filming EARLY the next morning…I shouldn’t have been complaining of being tired bahah. Merida commented that she LOVED snow, and wished it would snow here, to which I was just like “no….Florida needs no snow…just go to Canada, lol!” To which Merida brought up the fact that with the cold she’d get her CLOAK, and that brightened my spirits, because, lets be honest, Merida’s winter wear is GORGEOUS and I WANT IT! We commented that she could take her dad’s outfit and be solid and warm in the winter too.

Overall, the Merida experience was FAR superior to the one we’d had at the previous MVMCP, the interaction was fabulous, the accent was great, and she was super perky and just plain awesome, even despite the fact that she wans’t getting much from me, bahaha. QUICKLY after finishing that meet and greet, I literally RAN into Cosmic Rays and devoured a couple of Uncrustables and probably some fries or something too, it had been far too long since I’d eaten!

And now, I’m going to have to stop, there’s TOO MANY PICTURES

Steven & I began our next adventure on full stomachs, which was probably for the very best! And since it was nearly the end of the night, it was time to visit the other side of the Fairytale Hall, and if there was enough after, to jump back over to Rapunzel & Snow’s side again! We entered the room, and immediately noticed that Prince Phillip….Captain Sassy Pants from the earlier MVCMP was looking particularly familiar….and he noticed us too….Oh dear… Luckily we had some buffering time with Cindrella & Charming!

Clearly we had a nice talk about our outifts, and since I’d eaten, and talk of the snow was okay with me, bahah! They were super wonderful and amazing and super cute and adorable too! Charming had her hand the entire time, and they were just so loving and perfect!

We were cautious about it this time, but did end up bringing up Cinderella 3 again, where Charming jumped out of the window, and it turned out he had done his research since we’d last talked (ahaha) and knew exactly what we were talking about , and that anything was worth it for his love! TOO CUTE.

Seriously though, these two were so perfect. It just makes it so much better when the couple is 100% in LOVE, like, when they’re feeling it, it’s perfection. Steven & I said farewell to them, and moved across the room, where we both crossed behind the photopass, towards the exit, but JUST TO PUT OUR STUFF DOWN, and lo & behold, Phillip (mid meet and greet with someone else) goes “YOU CAN’T GO YET” and Charming was LITERALLY chasing us down to make sure we didn’t leave. BAHAHAH. Hilarity at its best!

Phillip was quick to turn to Aurora and exclaim “I MET THESE TWO THE OTHER NIGHT!!!” uhmm…yeah…Aurora was there too remember? #WHOOPS. Lol. He also was quick to ask if the sassiness had calmed down & I mentioned that I was pretty sure it had gotten worse over the course of the week., and yes, there was just as much sass this go around as well. I also had a post card for a friend for Phillip to sign, and was blown away by the fact that he asked the friends name, and then proceeded to write an entire message for him! IT WAS WONDERFUL!! Usually characters just sign their name and I’m like…..”nothing? really? Not a wish you were here?” so it was awesome!! Once he started though, he stopped talking to focus, and it got awwwwwkward. I guess Aurora just didn’t really have much to say…

We said good bye to Phillip and moved on from the hall, and seriously RAN around to the other side, we definitely wanted to make it into the other side before the party was over, and if I remember correctly, we didn’t have long to wait before we were escorted into the room.

For the record, Rapunzel & Flynn were MUCH more simpatico this go around, clearly it had just needed a little bit of warming up and the party was nearly done now, so they were great! We chatted for a bit and got our picture!

And moved on over to Snow White & her Prince, where, the first thing we brought up was that we watched the last like, 6 groups of people go through the exit door and they ALL got stuck, it wasn’t just us….. Snow Prince promptly walked over to the door….and got stuck…BAHAH…he then pushed on it better and got it to open, but it was QUITE hilarious. One of the two of them asked if Steven was my Prince, to which I said no, and Steven’s reply was “I’m a prince to a lot of people…..”

Snow Prince & I immediately turned around, he gave me a weird look and I simply went “Where’s your hat? It had such an awesome feather!” To change the subject….for the record, the hat would “mess up his hair too much”

We said good night to the couple, The Prince told us to mind the door, and we left the hall, laughing again, because let’s be serious, meet and greets are just too much sometimes, especially when it’s past midnight! The two of us took our time leaving the park, it was quite as empty as the past party night, but we did stop for some photos on the way out!

ETA: I'm noticing now as I'm posting this that these photos are a little wonky, and that clearly the ones with Punzie/Snow are from earlier in the night due to my sweater not being on and Steven having his Neverland shirt on but I just don't have the time to go back through and hunt for the appropriate photos...bahahah

First a nice one….and then a summary of our relationship….

Because really…that’s how we are! The line for the busses wasn’t that bad, but boy oh boy WERE WE TIRED! It was super nice to get back to Pop, and each of us have our own beds! It had been one heck of a long week, and a long day at that, but we had ONE more morning of magic left!

Ah the perils of the Disneybounder. Fun at first, but repetitive after a while I'm sure.

I don't know what was being said, but Cindy sure does look excited during your greet... and VERY intense, lol.

Hmmm, I may need to pay a visit to Mr. Charming next month. I'm thinking I need a video for someone.

Aw, that last photo is AWESOME!

Great update!!! And I just love all the Characters you met at the party!!!

And I completely understand the hunger thing... I get real cranky when I'm hungry or tired... And if I'm both, then watch out!!! :scared1:

So great that you had those awesome meet & greets and that they improved over earlier ones. I would figure that late in the night the characters would either be kinda over it or more playful and seems like you got the later which is great!

Love that you get to meet the entire Pooh gang at once as well!

Nice pics of you two together by the Castle to end the night :goodvibes

Great updates! I love all the thought you put into the character meets to get them to engage with you, fantastic!

Hahaha yup..it got old fast...

ahahaha, she's great though! I really do enjoy her!

Hahaha...you're not gonna have any luck next month unless you get to 1900.....

Haha thank you!!

Thanks! We had a great time! Lol, right?! It's not good!

I'm glad we got to see them as many times as we did this trip with them not being out for mnsshp, sad days!!
Right?! They're either done with their lives and wanting the night to end, or they're loopy! lol.

they're so cute! Loved them so much!

Hahah it was a blast! Thank you!

Hey guys!! I've got 3 updates left on this TR that I'm going to post now, it's been way too long lol! I also still would like to do at least a summary of things that happened during our August trip, including the Villains Unleashed party and a ton of friends & dismeets. I just got back last night from Florida and we leave in a mere 10 days for halloween, so it's going to be jam packed for us lol.

********
I’m going to have to start off here by saying I’m sorry for the lack of detail in these last few updates, I have NO notes from it whatsoever, but know that we did have fun, despite being absolutely exhausted!! The morning started bright & early, we packed up the remaining stuff in the room, dropped our bags at Bell Services, and jumped on the bus over to the Magic Kingdom.

This morning it was SUPER packed because today was the filming for the actual PARADE part of the Christmas Day Parade, but it was really just Main Street. Once the park was officially opened to the public, we got escorted down the BACKSTAGE areas behind the Main Street shops to help with congestion, which was cool to see again lol! Breakfast was the first thing in order:

When you’re on vacation you may as well eat cake ALL THE TIME, right?! It was SUPER tasty too!! We sat ourselves down on a wall in Fantasyland to enjoy them and just take in our last morning of MK. Yeah, some might say that that isn’t a great idea, I mean, it’s rope drop, go on some rides?! But us, nah, we chill! We’re gonna grab some cake and eat it in Fantasyland and relax.

Oh yeah….we were also exhausted….. Cake finished, we figured it’d be nice to pay a visit to some princesses on our last morning, so we stopped in to see Cinderella & Aurora first thing!

We were the first two let into their room for that set, and Cinderella was quick on the ball to recognize us from CRT the day before, and actually mentioned it to Aurora as they’d both been feeling like themselves at our lunch!

We all chatted about some various things, the adventures we went on, how we had a great time at lunch and thanked Cindy for inviting us into her castle, it was a grand old time!

One set of princesses down, it was time to head over to the other side of the hall!

I remember Snow being good, but really that’s about it! I can’t say there was much for interaction from us this morning either, bahaha! Feeling like princesses were our mission this morning, we continued our adventuring over into New Fantasyland and when we noticed a photopass out near Eric’s Castle, we had to stop!

Yay!! I really do love it when the photographer’s pop up in different spots like this!! Naturally, a little fishy was our next target for the day;

From the looks of it, Steven was starting to wake up and the sass was kicking in by now!

This friend of Ariel’s LOVES to get people to say “bubbles” when they all take pictures, and she attempted to get us to say it with her and well….

NO SUCH LUCK!! Bahaha! Sorry Ariel!! Maybe next time?! **Spoiler aler** it didn’t work next time either. Steven actually didn’t recognize the friend of Ariel until she went “say bubbles” and he was all “ooop, yup, remember that” It was a good time.

Ariel out of the way and all the princesses in MK we were worried about met (also I’m like a good 90% sure that those with an outdoor meet and greet were working on REALLY weird schedules due to parade filimings….) We turned to Steven’s favourite next!

I’m pretty sure Peter was talking about how I was wearing blue like Wendy, but had my hair up in a Tinker bun and was wondering who I liked more! It is a tough choice, but I’m pretty sure Tink will always win that war! Bahaha.

Peter was a pretty fantastic meet today, it was sad that the best two times we had with him were at the end of the trip, especially considering how many times we’d actually been to see him! We thanked the Lost Boy and with Tinkerbell (and indoor meet and greets) in mind, we headed over to the Nook next (rip nook…)

Tinkerbell was great this morning, particularly sassy and was a great time had by all!

And for the last meet of the day, Periwinkle!

I’m sure we talked all about all the adventures we’d been having all week, and it was a wonderful meet, she’s not my favorite friend of Peri’s, but she’s alright! We left the Nook with just a little bit of time to spare, so we wandered past Crystal Palace and got stopped to let a parade of Princesses by (literally, all the media girls, headed back backstage for a little tea break before more filming….) before we continued down Main Street. Neil Patrick Harris was probably less than 20 feet from us that day…EXCITING!! In the entire morning that we were there eating cake and meeting friends, they had managed to film maybe HALF of the opening number for the Xmas Parade….oh film life!

Steven & I arrived at a very un-crowded bus stop and were back at Pop Century before we knew it. We picked up our bags, and grabbed some snacks while we waited for the Tragical Express back to the airport….SO SAAAAADDDDD!!

Before we knew it, we were home…and honestly…before we knew it, I was back…#whoops. I have been MORE than blessed to have been able to go as frequently as I have in 2014. I paid the price of not being able to afford dance, but sometimes pursuing a dream is worth it! I was back early Jan for Frozen auditions, mid Feb for parade auditions (and a #whoopsagain when Steven & I the NEXT WEEK booked a trip with less than 24hrs notice…), the two of us got to Phoenix early March, I was back mid April for some more princess auditions, and the two of us returned a few weeks later for parade ones.

IT HAS BEEN INSANE!! I’m lucky, I know, it’s insane that I’ve been this much this year, and each adventure has brought so many new friends and new fun! Half the reason I hadn’t done any trip reports for any of these trips is simply because there’s so much that I don’t think I’d be able to share because of things like character integrity, and privacy! Don’t fret though! I will still be doing a TR for May, and for September…and let’s just say, you’ll probably start to see some familiar & royal faces in there.

I couldn’t have asked for a better Disney friend to share along all of these journey’s, December really brought that out in the both of us, our touring style is so similar, Steven’s willing to sit through FOTLK two or more times in a day (actually, he even said he’d sit there all day at the reopening if he came with me bahaha) and I’ll wait in a line for Merida when all I want to do is eat and never talk about snow again. We really work well, and I’m so glad we were blessed with the opportunity of this Christmas trip.

THEN, there’s Amanda. As I’m writing this, I’ve only know the girl a YEAR, and that SERIOUSLY blows my MIND! She is the sister that I never had! I’m insanely lucky that we discovered each other on tumblr whilst talking about auditions, and so happy that we met up a year ago. We adventure through life so wonderfully together, and she is just absolutely amazing in every which way possible. I’m SUPER happy that she’ll be coming down to visit a few times during my program, and I wish her the best in all of her future adventures.

Now, stick around for one more update!!

-The Osborne Lights are AH MAZING. Nothing will compare with the first time I saw them the year before, but they are definitely a do not miss!
-All the Christmas decorations around WDW are impeccable, definteily take a few resort tours to check things out if you have time
-That being said, they pump Christmas music into so many more areas that normally have instrumental fill that Steven & I were about ready to punch anything Christmas by the end of the week….

MVMCP
-Worth the cost
-Fireworks & parade & shows are impressive, we love Halloween so much that it just doesn’t quite do it for us, but they’re still fantastic!

-Food selection is mediocre, but they’ve got great salads & flatbreads

-Got this ADR last minute while in line for Anna & Elsa and we LOVED it
-Saw some great princesses, with great interaction (Snow White remembered us literally 3 months later and commented on our Disneybounds….)

-Much more worth the cost than over at CRT

Crystal Palace-Breakfast or Dinner
-5/5
-Always go, if there is a doubt, just go

Again, it was an amazing trip, and held a few firsts for us, sine 2014 has begun we’ve tried a lot new things, made a ton new friends, and each trip that’s come by, we’ve seen a lot of familiar faces and it’s just been absolutely amazing each and every time. I am SUPER excited that (at the time of writing this) I will be in a bed at BLT in 1 week, and that trip with Jenna will have a ton of firsts for ME as well. Sept will house one HECK of an adventure, and then my grand adventure working for the mouse begins Oct 14!

I encourage ALL of you to follow along on twitter (KattWy) Instagram (Kattwyllie) or if we’ve talked a few times on here, pm me for Facebook! Adventure is out there! Check my signature for the May TR if you haven't already, and be sure to keep in touch, the biggest adventure of them all is about to begin!

Thank you ALL so much for reading, commenting and every thing YOU’VE contributed to this trip report, I’d just be talking to myself if it wasn’t for ya’ll!! Love you all and hope you have the most magical of days!

I hope you have frequent flyer miles of some sort, lol. Goodness. But I guess that all comes to an end soon anyway...

Oh my yes, I avoided MK that day. But it does sound like you got a lot of meets done despite the insanity. How cool to see NPH.

It really is great you found Steven since it is pretty obvious that you get along so well AND enjoy most of the same things. That sure makes planning and travelling and touring so much easier.

As always, just a wonderful summary Katt. I love how you break everything down which I'm sure is so especially useful for pretty much everybody.

Even though you go to Disney a lot, it's pretty clear that it's where you are meant to be.

What a great trip!!!! :thumbsup2

When does your program start??? Did Steven ever get called back in his 6 month window???

And never give up on your dream!!! It's out there waiting for you!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for another awesome trip report! I love reading about all of your adventures and seeing your many character meet and greets. Looking forward to the next report. Good luck on your program. I'll be escaping the Canadian winter in November so if I see you around the pavilion I'll stop and say hi!

Read through your whole report in the last week or so...love the two of you, you are HILARIOUS together!! I loved your interactions with the characters, i haven't had the guts to do that yet, so it's really fun to read about! Can't wait for your halloween trip!

It really wasn't that bad as long as you stayed away from the main st area!

Haha so true! I'm so lucky to have been brought together with such wonderful people that appreciate Disney in the same way I do, it really is wonderful!!

Thank you!! I know that's the kinda stuff I appreciate when I'm reading TR's so I like to include it in the ones I write lol!

What a great trip!!!! :thumbsup2

It really was awesome! My program starts Oct 14th! Steven has about another 3 days to get his call....:scared: we're hoping that he does, or that he can get back into the pool in a future audition. Here's hoping an appropriate one comes up! The two when we're down there next week are for female look a likes & parades...

Thank you!!
