To all of those expressing disappointment with the new contemporary rooms: I couldn't agree with you more. We are huge fans of the CR as well as all of the monorail resorts. I don't disagree completely with the folks who are saying the rooms should not be designed after a cartoon franchise...

Not a fan of this new room design at all. Looks cheap and uninspired to me. This iconic resort deserves better imo.

These are two of my favorite resorts at Disney (although I prefer BC to YC personally). My vote would be the Polynesian hands down. While being able to walk to World Showcase is certainly nice, you just cant beat being on the monorail line imho. Having both MK and Epcot available via monorail...

How can they possibly explain or justify running out of food at that price point? That doesn’t make sense at all. I know certain people over indulge or whatever but that simply is not acceptable on Disney’s part imo. Were they actually telling paying CL guests “sorry but we are out of food”?!?!

Exactly. The first time I stumbled upon the little stand I thought "wow, this is really cool....what the heck is it doing hidden back here???" lol Not sure why they cant just add shave ice to the menu at the Pineapple Lanai or at the Oasis Grill.

Not us. I think the asking price for the additional fast passes is very steep. We are staying Poly CL primarily for the lounge and the food/drinks offered

That's really not that surprising to me. While I think it's a great idea to have the shave ice, I always thought it was in a really odd, out of the way location. Kind of hidden back on the path to the boat dock. Hopefully they re-open it in a better location in the future.

No way. That would be awful imo. The CR is a true Disney classic. However I could see them re-doing a Value like the All Stars into a Marvel theme. The ASR could definitely use a make over.

Great point. I don't even consider going on Splash without a FP because of that long outdoor queue. Yuk.

The Taj Mahal section is particularly bad imo. Obviously CGI. Doesn't look remotely real. I've read that it had to be CGI because permission would not be granted by the Indian government. If true, why include it at all? Aren't there literally thousands of other natural or man made locales...
