I agree - mattress shopping is stressful. We recently bought a Tuft & Needle mattress and are happy with it.

We do breakfast in the room too. I like to bring hard boiled eggs to try to get some protein in in the morning and some fruit.

I've used an Ergo with kids a few different times - I really like that mine has a mesh area that helps it not be quite so hot. I was not allowed to wear my kids on a couple rides one trip.
