Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 1 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-4*

I find this thread fun. People enjoy discussing that this is the most anticipated ride ever, blah blah blah. I was there at Space Mountain's opening, and it was a madhouse and I waited almost 5 hours for it. But this good thing is I had the opportunity to ride it by getting there early. Right...

    Disneyland After Dark Events 2020

Great! can't wait to go on a cold winter night on a work day to get up the next morning for work again, pay more to see what I can already see but with entertainment that used to be included with admission! Sooo excited. Disney has conquered how to do a cashgrab! Glad to own their stock now...

    Universal Studios Hollywood Discounts

Thank you for the info. We bought the AAA tickets on Friday and went Saturday morning. Had a great time. The Wizarding World is better than ANYTHING Disney has ever created. AND 95% less strollers and crowds too. Loved it all, I could have spent the entire day in that land! I think I'll wait...

Eating in the parks on a budget

Go to the Whitewater Snacks, or whatever the rename is over at the Grand California Hotel. Nachos, and even just Fries are not too costly and huge to share. Skip Earl of Sandwhich, everything is about $10 and mostly just bread, if you want bread go to La Brea Bakery, get a loaf and ask for...

    Universal Studios Hollywood Discounts

I can't seem to find a forum here with Universal Studios Hollywood. Just the Orlando version. Looking for the best discounts on a single day ticket for this Saturday. I'm taking my Mom who is 71. I see AAA has tickets for that day at $110. Is that the best deal out there? Also, can anyone tell...

Just got back from Disneyland (for the 1st time) and it was amazing...except for......

The problem is that even if you get 4 bars of strength with their wifi it still doesn't not work well. It appears that they not only want us to pay more to get in, pay for maxpass, but also to pay for upgraded data plans from our own cell phone services. Soon they will require 5g and cause 4g to...

Here now (Halloween) and crowds are fantastic!

for me, and especially before 9am on a weekday it's usually very low crowds. I've noticed that about 11am it gets a little more, then again around 4 or 5pm. Glad you are having a great time! Slow down and enjoy the atmosphere during the slow times, it's quite immersive.

Flex Pass Superthread: Disneyland Resort Introduces New Annual Passport that Combines Value and Flexibility

If they did that, they could also add blockout tickets back for other levels of passes too. I'm still not sure why they don't to be honest.

Relaxing day in between park days .. ideas?

It really depends what "overwhelming" means to you. I would take a car down to Huntington Beach, rent bikes. You can get the bikes at Dwights about 100 yards south of the pier. Or just walk on the beach, take in the sights at Surf City U.S.A.. the culture there really is like you see in the...

    Beach suggestions

Yes, the water is less clear due to the lighter sand so it floats all the time mostly. In HI the sand is much heavier and stays mostly on the seabed. Huntington is the beach I always recommend for tourists. They probably have heard of it, and it's so easy to get around. Check out the Pacific...

    Future of Fastpass!

Sad, it's too bad the sign at the entry tunnels is less and less true. "Here you leave today...." But now I'm stuck looking at my phone all day trying to figure out when to get back to a ride, or make a ride maxpass reservation, a dining reservation, a food order, play a game while in line, ugh...

Planning a Trip for 70-80 year olds

My Mom was 70 when I took her, she loved Space Mountain, Big Thunder, and all the other slow rides too. It just depends on how mobile someone is. I'm lucky that she is still so active. I hope to do all the rides until I'm 90. Just not Guardians, I just can't take it. Even when I was 20 I hated...

Largest saving per ticket to roll over to Annual Pass

I love this reply! Thanks, when my wife and I want to get the So Cal Select again, I'll do this, we'll get Saturdays for two weeks that way, then upgrade for a few bucks ($4???) Then save $50, plus the retailmenot $50. Great.

    AP offer for fall

I'm still amazed that the Disneyland Hotel is still over $400 per night with this. Last weekend we stayed at Embassy Suites down the road for $94 and had included wine and snacks in the evening and a huge breakfast. Didn't get the nice pool, but saved a ton. Enough for a new pair of annual...

    Price increases this year?

Their band Hiatus also has played Irvine Spectrum not too far away for free. So we've gone there when blocked out from Disney. Another reason we spent money at Irvine for food and things, but not at Disney. Whenever we attended the nighttime entertainment at Disneyland we always bought dinner...

    Storytellers Cafe for Birthday Dinner?

Thanks, I wasn't sure about the smoke, I just might look into that again then tomorrow. Nothing like planning a night away at the last minute huh? I'm easy though, so probably will end up near Disney, just makes me feel good when I'm there, even if not inside. Unless my wife convinces us to get...

    Storytellers Cafe for Birthday Dinner?

Thanks, the roast beef will be similar to Prime Rib for me, close enough and I can get more than one plate! I'm almost sold on this option. had to cancel our plans for Carlsbad beach hotel in case the smoke heads that way from the Murrieta fire. I miss Disney, so even if not going in, it's the...

    Storytellers Cafe for Birthday Dinner?

I think any kind of tender beef would be great. I've had the prime rib at Steakhouse 55 a few years ago, and it was 50% fat and $45 at the time so I wouldn't get that again there. thanks, I also remember Storytellers around 9pm seems very quiet, might make for a nice evening out.

    Storytellers Cafe for Birthday Dinner?

Anyone try the Storytellers Cafe for dinner lately? I'm thinking of going there for my Birthday dinner since someone said they have Prime Rib. My wife doesn't get much at Steakhouse 55, so I thought this place might be a good idea since I could still get Prime Rib, but she can pretty much...

    Price increases this year?

Here's an example. My Mother found out it's $150 to get in this Sunday, so she said she will wait till Spring if they offer the 3-day ticket for locals at $180 again. $30 more but get 2 extra days seems better. Probably crowds return then. Maybe they will offer a Fall deal like they did quite a...
