Come on AP Rates!!!

I don't know why but I really don't think we are going to see the AP discount until August if at all. It just seems that they are trying to fill up the rooms with the free dining and not worry about discounting the rooms. unless I am mistaken dining and rooms are under two very different sections in the budget. If they can offer free dining and not go into the red on the food budget but still fill up rooms why would they offer discounts on the rooms? They have never offered free dining into December so I think they are going to wait until they see how that offer does before they release any AP discounts. I hope I am wrong because without that discount we won't be going to WDW for Christmas and I'll have to think up a new tradition.

They offered FD last year through December if I remember correctly. I was amazed that they extended it through then.

WOW I don't remember free dining going that long last year. But honestly, I had received a code in May that allowed me to book our trip early so I didn't pay to much attention to what was happening with free dining or the regular codes Maybe we will still get something but I still don't think it will be until late August. I hope I'm wrong.

Yep, they offered free dining into December (around the 20th I think) in 2008 and 2009.

In 2008, Disney released AP rates good through December in August. In 2009, Disney released AP rates good through December on July 22nd. Since they weren't released last Wed, I'm hoping this Wed will be the lucky day!

OK I was just checking and got "kicked out" of the passholder section. I think they are updating something? This is what has happened when that has happened to me before.Either that or the passolder section broke :(

I'll keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I wake up every day and I go to the computer to visit the AP site hoping and hoping...one of these days I will be rewarded!

At the very least, we should see some rates by Aug. 13 or 15, which is when they came out in 2008 and 2007. So WORST case scenerio we have another 2 1/2 weeks.

Worst case scenario is if they decide to make more $$$ off us by skipping the AP rate this winter.

i do not think this is likely....hope it is tomorrow but probably not going to get an AP pass given the dining deal....will just stay at AS Sports....

I think there will be a rate, but I think it will be very similar to the GP rates. Haven't we seen similar rates all year? I have to admit, if I hadn't gotten my 4 passes for $500 off with my free GC, I would be feeling a little sorry I purchased them this year. Between the bouncebacks and the great GP offers, I haven't actually used an AP rate yet. If we are to go in October, which is our usual tradition and the ONLY month we normally go, we have to have a good AP rate, either 40% or free dining. I'd prefer 40% since I have TIW! I wouldn't sneeze at a small percent off combined with FD, but... :wizard:

I'm not upset about the discounts I've had, but I have been surprized that they so closely resemble other offers.

Don't panic! Every time we wait for AP rates we always speculate that 1) they aren't coming and 2) they won't be any good.

But yet they still show up and they have been just as good, if not marginally better than the GP offers.

I still bet they are coming next week...

because of obsessive checking for new AP rates? :)

I agree ... they will come out and my money is on next week as a release date!

I hope! I currently have a bounceback deal that I booked last Dec for Oct 9th-17th with 35% off, but had to buy one day tickets we don't need. My 45 days out is coming up, in I think midAugust. I really need for the AP rates to come out before then or I'll have to pay a change fee. I'd love to get 40% off and not have to buy those stupid one day tickets we don't need (since we already have several we had to buy from past deals:rotfl:), but if we have to pay a change fee, it may negate the savings. There is also the fact that free dining was blacked out for our dates. I just wonder if the AP rates will be?
