***Official September 2020 Thread***

I just started receiving the emails on my canceled dining reservations. I am still waiting to see how the reopening progresses before making a final decision on whether or not I will come to Disney or not. I am learning the resort (off site) I have reserved for part of my trip in non-refundable at this point for September. It is through RCI my timeshare.

You might want to call back - we are at a value and got the 35%. This is if you had the free dining on your package.
I will now as I had to hold for 30 mins before. I hope it is 35% - maybe the cast member had misinformation. I will post another response when I complete the call.

Anyone experience this? I had a new price for my trip with the DDP gone. Now in MDE there is NO balance listed for this trip!!!! Where did it go? Maybe I owe nothing? LOL Maybe they are adjusting the PH tix righta s I type??? This is curious! (also posted on another thread - they are all blending together now!!!)

I would assume it's temporary. They are migrating computer systems and when you do that things tend to come and go. If it's not back tomorrow I would start to wonder.

I just got off another long phone call with guest services who fixed my reservation to reflect 35% off since I had free dinning since January. The 20 % I had was incorrect. Thanks Mrs Grumpy for letting me know that was incorrect!!

I'm glad it was 35% as I'm staying at POFQ too, so was getting worried as 35% off what we paid for the room doesn't cover the full QSDP in any case. Although I'm still waiting to see what WDTC UK will offer us for the loss of the dining plan.

How are you doing the math to be sure you got 35% off? I had free dining, and my package went down, but I'm pretty sure it's not a better deal than what I had before, considering the value the QS plan would have been.

The refund for MK dessert party and Rose and Crown just showed up today. I think that is the last of the refunds. Well I want a refund for the park hopper but they can't do that yet.

You can either do it simple by googling: how much is 35% off (insert your amount)?
Or you can take what you paid for your hotel x 0.65 to find your new balance, so mine would be:

£4497 x 0.65 = £2923.05

To find out how much the actual discount is you times your amount with 0.35 instead:

£4497 x 0.35 = £1573.95

Forgot to add that for us, if they decide to give 35% discount for UK as well, the discount would not cover the cost of the dining plan. Our hotel cost £4497 which equals to $5656.99 so:

Hotel: $5656.99
QSDP: $2205
Discount: $1979.95

Which means I'll be $225.05 worse off. I've used the 2019 QSDP prices as I booked my holiday about a year ago.

So who is still planning to attend?
We are just 2 adult Disney veterans so we are okay going with all the cuts right now/masks/etc. Taking away our free dining & giving us 35% off actually took $1300 off our package which for us is a much better deal than free dining so thankfully that worked out, which is another reason we still plan to go.
Hoping some things are back by September but if things stay the way they are now, we will still go. But if there are more crazy cuts, shorter hours, or closed attractions we may have to re-evaluate.
If you do still plan to go, at what point would you not go?
I suppose for us it depends if our moderate resort is open by Sept (and whether Disney decides to relocate us or just cancel our reservation), but it would take a lot for us to cancel on our own...while the idea of no parks open after sunset for the time being is a bummer, if multiple major attractions will be down or a scenario where the new park reservation system only allows us 5 visits to one park because the other 3 are too full each try, that would probably be our dealbreaker.

Ok today was soooo painful during the course of the day from 8:05 am until about 10 minutes ago I received separate emails from Disney cancelling each and everyone of my ADRs ending with the cancellation of my Hallowishes Dessert Party at MK for 9/15 and my EMM .....

Has international travel restriction been lifted? I am waiting for Louisiana to not have FL travel restrictions.

My husband and I, my daughter, her husband and the 2 little ones - we are still going Sept 3rd for 10 nights. I am an RN at a hospital and I would love to get away on this vacation we have been planning for months, while continuing to adhere to the safety measures. So for right now it is a Go for us!!
