Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I didn't save the email but all it said was that the Dig Site would be closed during my stay, which includes the feature pool, snack bar, bar, arcade, and playground. They said the other pools will remain open along with the other bars and quick service.

It will really be date and length of trip specific. Its worth a shot. The most comparable option will be CBR, since POR and POFQ are blacked out for free dining.

What was the phone number on the email so I can call?

I did not save the email. But you'd be able to call the standard reservations number, there is an option to make changes to your existing resort reservation on the menu.

Ok thank you! We have a F&F discount booked so I don’t know if it’s treated the same way :/

I know the pool closing begins in September, but did they offer a re-opening prediction? January? (she hoped).

Received an e-mail myself about the food court construction just a few days ago. We are staying 8/3 through 8/16. I'm guessing from reading most of these messages the pool really doesn't start until September? (Sorry, I hadn't seen the official dates yet for that).

Does anyone know for sure that the pool refurb will not start until September?

Thanks

As of now, pool is going to be closed from 9-4 through 12-12.

Thanks for the response!

We survived the CBR construction last August, the gift card thing helped a lot, but a pool closure would make me be moving for sure.

We're going in August so not impacted by the pool closure. But I've been getting emails about the refurb in Pepper Market. They've sent me the exact same email every day for the last 4 or 5! I guess they really want me to get the message!

LOL, your not alone. I think I have gotten one of those a day for the past week now! (I thought it was just me and I was stuck in some sort of resort refurb e-mail loop) :)

What is the timeline for the Pepper Market refurb? Is it closed or just partially affected?

Closing pools when it's hot just makes me scratch my head. Wouldn't it make more sense to close them in the winter?

Anyway, if you have a FD package, then you *had* to get at least a Park Hopper ticket. Adding the "plus" to the hopper tickets is about $25. Well worth it to access the fun slides, pools and lazy rivers.

hi, separate subject from the pool issue: I am interested in staying in a room with a walk-in shower , not a tub. Does anyone know which buildings those are offered in for the remodels and how i go about requesting that type of room? Are they all walk-in showers now with the remodels?

Here's the email I keep getting. No dates, but we're going the third week in August.

Thank you for choosing the Walt Disney World® Resort as your vacation destination!

In an effort to continually enhance the Guest experience, we often refresh our offerings and atmosphere. It is in this spirit that we have embarked on renovation projects at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort to make even more magic for our Guests.
During this time, our quick-service restaurant, Pepper Market, will undergo minor refurbishment work, but will remain in operation during your stay. If you would like to experience one of our other dining locations, we invite you to join us at Maya Grill, Las Ventanas, Café Rix, Laguna Bar, Siestas Cantina and our newly reimagined space, Rix Sports Bar & Grill, featuring a variety of sandwiches, salads and refreshing beverages. Our other exceptional amenities and recreation are scheduled to remain available for your enjoyment.
While we work our magic, it is possible that you may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from your Guest room between dusk and 9:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know we are making every effort to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
If you have questions or need assistance prior to your arrival, please contact your travel agent directly.

I've received that same email every day for the last four days too! It's getting a little annoying.

When I put in a one night stay for August 15, I got an alert that said the main pool/ whole area, would be closed. This happened today.

You don't even need to put in a date. That alert is there when you go to the resort page without even selecting any date at all.

But it says "this fall". It's just a default that's there when anyone is looking at the resort for any time period.

So I'm a little annoyed annoyed all of this construction. We booked under the military plan when it came out and we're told that construction would not affect our stay or enjoyment of the hotel. Now I find out that the pool will be closed in addition to the inconvenience of the construction. I'd say that will affect our enjoyment. We are there Nov 30 to Dec 8. Does disney typically finish these refurbs early

I've never heard of them finishing early or even on time.
