DH & I will be on this cruise. 6th Disney cruise; 1st member cruise.

I'm glad you're trying the MC, some of the experiences on board are unmatched on or there cruises. Personally, I treasure the experiences like the information presented by Joe Rohde last year more than some of the bling we got, and we sure got bling!!

I can't figure out how to PM you (tech challenged). I'm really excited to join the FE group - just found out what a FE is and purchased white on black Mickey ear fabric to make one. My DH's B'day is 8/14 and mine is 9/24 so we are using the b'days as an excuse to take this cruise! We are staying in #7032 and our favorite characters are Doc (DH's biker name) and Tink or Grumpy for me. We have a Harley trike and volunteer with the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, American Red Cross and the Patriot Guard Riders.

I thought it would be fun to give a glimpse as to why we love the DVC Member Cruises so much.

Best known as the Creative genius / Imagineer behind The Adventurers Club; Animal Kingdom and Aulani

If you don't know who he is, watch this great video just released by Disney Christmas Day 2016 on Pandora:

Joe Rhode was 1 of the many special guests on our cruise last year, giving a presentation titled: Evolving Animal Kingdom

After the event, he did a meet and greet outside the Walt Disney Theatre. Really great to meet him.

DVC is having a special night for members on Wednesday Sept 6! We extended our post DVC Member Cruise Stay so we can attend!

I saw Joe Rhode as we were in our Muster Station on the 2016 MC, I was so excited because I have always enjoyed his presentations whenever I have seen them!

Yes, it's on the website together with all Member events that are planned in 2017! They're having 2 events in Epcot in December, some Typhoonn Lagoon things in summer.

We went to AK event in 2016, but on a night it poured (eventually it was better weather but puddles galore and my group was soaked) and not a good experience, still...we had a night safari that was excellent because the male lion stood up and we saw other animal activity. Rides, attractions were opened, we only did Bugs Life. You got coupons for game play. There were refreshments, we had just eaten in Tiffens, which was excellent, so we did not take any of the free offerings.

You were allowed to enter park without ticket at 7, park closed at 9, and I do not remember how late it stayed opened. We were soaked, went home around 10:30, did see Tree of Life Awakens.

Thanks again. I am really glad you posted on this. Looks like they haven't announced when to book so I'll keep an eye out. I'll have my parents in tow which means we will have to pace it. I suspect it's going to be crowded esp. with Pandora rumored to be open and the limit to only the 2 nights. We'll just plan to take it easy and keep it a leisurely night. sounds perfect.

I think this 7 night cruise is going to be a great one!

The Fantasy has the best Annimator Palate show, and I absolutely love Aladdin. It just seems so far away!!

Oh no, you definitely aren't the only one who is super excited about this cruise! Just this week I was able to switch our pre-cruise nights to BLT at the 7 month mark.

Great!!! We are at BLT as well, hope to meet folks at TTOTW lounge. It's not blacked out for folks staying elsewhere, so we could have a good sized group!
