Good luck to all of our runners!
thanks Ed for sharing all the pix.
Hiya Peach. I was hoping you would chime in.
I knew remnants of the RR were still out there. I've never know where to look. I may have to get some notes from you before our next trip. I know my DS would have a blast finding the old rails.
Jim, check with me before your trip.
Have any of the walls at DTD come down? It was just a maze of construction walls when we were there.
Tiggerdad, it looks as though some have come down because there are some public spaces such as restrooms that have a new, fresh look. Also some walls show the new "Disney Springs" motif. Coming in from the deck there are walls around Planet Hollywood (all except the entrance stairs) and up on the old Pleasure Island on the lake side along where the old Adventurer's Club was (liked that shtick). There was some more along the side of Raglan Road. So there was some still up for sure.
Ok. After lunch we headed via boat to do some monorail hopping. But before we do, another TR requirement is a porch shot:
Then we head for the marina. Looks kinda gray, doesn't it? It was.
Hopped on a monorail at MK to ride around to the Poly. You might be able so see the Christmas tree is still in the MK square near the flagpole and there was still garland and decorations on the MK train station.
At the Poly there was a new lobby to explore (very nice) and the bungalows to check out (not that I'm buying or anything). I think the converted DVC studios and bungalows go on sale in a matter of days.
Walking through the Poly courtyard, I saw and said hello to Pete Werner and Dustin West of the DIS Podcast team. Of course, Pete started the DIS oh so long ago. They were working on the latest installment of Seven Resorts in Seven Days.

We also checked out the GF. On the boat back to the Fort, the shoe tree is in full bloom.
On the walk back to my site, I was reminded that while we all get into the in's and out's of camping, rv'ing, trailers, and Disney, all you need to enjoy it is a tent and maybe a folding chair.
Oh, the Land Rover was nice too.
