I just booked Mears (sedan for three people). The price from the airport to the Dolphin, including a stop at Downtown Disney on the way, was $90.

One way, sadly.

Tiffany towncar which we have used in the past is $68 one way and $126 round trip (free grocery stop).

Florida towncar is $65 one way and $110 round trip ($10 grocery stop).

Both likely have an online coupon/special rate.

I don't want to start a pool-hopping argument or anything like that but just wondered if anybody could tell me what the policy is on a friend of ours and her daughter joining us at the pool? Since we have a 2-bed suite booked, we could add them to the reservation (even though they won't be staying there) if it's likely to be a problem otherwise.

You need a room key to get a towel. Besides that I don't know how they would know who's supposed to be there and who's not.

I would add them to your suite, unless it will cost you more. That way, you just don't need to worry about it, and they can get towels.

I love this thread.... but I am so confused.... What is the policy for 'linking' a room res. at the Dolphin to MDE,and MB? I have tickets, and not planning to go for at least 6 months.... once I book a room, then what?

You can link your Dolphin reservation on MDE by clicking the "link reservation" button and then entering your Dolphin reservation #. Our stay (6 in 3 rooms) has been linked (all three rooms) BUT since all three rooms are in my husband's name, I have only been able to add one person to each of the three rooms. That leaves two of our party not showing on the MDE site. Since we have a bit less than six months, I'm not in a tizzy about it yet. I will have to figure out whether we need to contact the Dolphin or Disney to get the other two added to the appropriate room reservations so I can reserve FP+ for all six of us when the time comes. :confused3

Maybe someone else can add more information; particularly when it involves more than one room and only one name on the reservation. :listen:

I seem to recall renting floats and other pool toys while at the Swan a few years ago. Anyone done that recently and can tell me an approximate price? I remember it was sort of expensive, but we didn't have any room to bring our own since we flew. Are there any restrictions on what you bring if you bring your own?
None that I am aware of.

I just called S/D, option 1. They had my daughter and me listed, they now added her two boys. She said it would take 24-48 hours to update online. Took a couple minutes.

I would just call the Swan. I have a 2 room suite booked for the four of us, with just one reservation under my name. However, when I linked the reservation there were three other "nameless" reservation holders that I could link all of our MDE profiles to. I have no idea why or how they were there but it worked for us!

Our Dolphin stay isn't until Labor Day weekend (thoughts on crowds?), so I know we have plenty of time before the 60 day window, but I have a questions. When I check my app, the dates are only blue for the next 30 days ( until end of April) although my Dolphin res is linked. Any idea why?

Mine was the same way until 60 days prior to my check-in date, then I was able to book for length of stay. Your MDE is currently reflecting offsite availability.

Might want to try switching to the Mears van service - it says several stops, etc. however we've used it twice now and the service has been 1 stop and direct. Fast, efficient - $68 RT for two. Can also book one-way for half that

Thanks Dan! I'm assuming that option 1 is reservations--we always call the hotels directly on the "in house" reservation line. I will give it a try and see if they can assign the other parties to their respective rooms. :goodvibes
