What real life mystery would you like to see solved?

For my own personal peace of mind, I would like to know who robbed and murdered my uncle. He was driving cab in Stockton, CA back in 1978 when a fare got in his cab and demanded money. When he only had a small amount on him, he was shot and killed. No one was ever arrested.

There was a girl from UMass who disappeared in NH. Looked like she had a small car accident and pulled over and has never been seen or heard from again. We are close in age, both went to some same schools, and she was working on a nursing degree. Her disappearance has always struck a cord with me. Her name was/is Maura Murray. I can't help but think someone grabbed her. Could have happened to anyone. She had planned to go away alone for a few days, which she had done many times before. It's so hard to see her dad on TV, he is beside himself.

It's very strange because no one really seems to be trying to find her. Law enforce not can only do so much with what they have. I'm stunned by the lack of involvement/participation from her mother. Really a sad case.

The paper boy was found alive and well Johnnie Go.(sp). I so often thought of him and yes he's alive and reunited with his family. Of course there was 'someone" on grassy knoll. Bet we never find that one out. Natalie Wood was murdered but they were all drunk so we'll prob. never know. Bet one day we'll find out where Jimmy Hoffa is. So many mob bosses are being caught someone will finally tell. Marilyn IMO was murdered. Yes Lizzie Borden killed her parents. I heard they are now thinking Jack the Ripper might have been a woman??

Ghosts, Bigfoot - I hate that I may never see proof either way (but I guess the latter will be confirmed for me someday!).

I can't imagine how it would feel to have someone you love go missing and you never know what happened to them. It must be the most difficult thing a person could live with because you can't just grieve their loss and move on .. there would always be some small hope that they are alive and well. The fear in your heart that they are scared, in pain, in some terrible person's grip ... it would never go away and you would not have any type of closure.

So my real wish would be to have all missing person cases solved and that the loved ones could try and find some sort of peace.

I think its sad that there are so many disappearances that are big national stories at first then fade away as time goes on and you never here about them again.

Crop circles have all been proven to be man made and several people have come forward and shown how it's done. No mystery there at all. It's a kind of graffiti.

In fact, several "mysteries" that people have mentioned have been disputed/proven, whatever, some in the last couple of years. You just have to research or like I have stumble on the story.

For example, Loch Ness monster has been disputed. First "photo", the grainy one from years ago has been proven to be a hoax and the person who took it admitted it. They've also recently posted what they think causes the ripples in the water that people have seen. It's an underwater phenomenon, something to do with a fault line. I saw the story a few days ago.

As for JFK, multiple forensic experts have said there was no second shooter and Oswald did it and they have shown how.

I do believe Marilyn Monroe was probably murdered. I think she knew too much about the Kennedy's. They were far from the perfect, clean, upstanding family people want to believe.

I believe Madeline McCann died in the presence of her parents, possibly accidentally, and they covered up the situation. I would like to see the case "solved" in the sense of the truth coming out and the parents confessing/serving time (don't know what the penalties are in Portugal.)

This thread made me remember a young man named August Reiger who disappeared in Ecuador while on a family vacation last month. He had just graduated high school and was planning on studying anthropolgy if I remember correctly. I hate to think that he would purposely worry his family, but I do have to wonder if he didn't decide to do a little research on his own.
