I am sure that Disney photographer would be available for your wedding. The big package for 1 hour wi the DVD and everything are $1,000.

Also it is only $50 to change the persons name that is cruising. One of my friends needed to know this

I've started emailing everyone possible including Shanda in trying to come up with a back up plan. We were pretty sure that his money would be completely lost since its past the cancellation period. This gives me a little hope. But at the same time, he was going to be staying in an inside room with two of our other school friends and my grandfather in law to be. Everybody in our wedding party has been pooling together to room together in an effort to save money. So any photographer that joins us would have to agree to ackwardly stay with three random strangers. Maybe if I find somebody who would take our pictures in exchange for a discounted room? We probably wouldn't be able to pay much more than $300 for someone to join us....

If anybody knows anybody who will take a discounted room on the May 6th sailing of the Disney Dream in exchange for taking our pictures, please PM me :flower3:

You could buy disposable cameras for everyone or ask everyone that has a camera to take pictures at the wedding and then pick your favorites for your album. I've got a few friends who are taking pictures at my wedding and then I'm going to pick out the best ones for our album. Good luck! I hope your friend is able to make it!

I just looked at my paperwork, and the least expensive photography package is $349.95. I really hope everything works out for you!

Did you register for a honeymoon fund? How is/was your experience? Is there a free one?

I'm not asking for any gifts. Im not registering anywhere. For me having everyone come to Florida and pay for a cruise to attend my wedding is more then enough of a gift.

That's exactly what we are telling everyone, but for those who insist on getting us something, we are asking for Disney gift cards since we are honeymooning at Aulani and DLR, so they are still helping us with our honeymoon :)

We registered, but only at Target for necessities because my aunt insisted on throwing me a shower. We felt the same way, our guests are paying for a cruise, so why ask for gifts?

Awe thats super sweet I'm sure your going to love it. We are postponing the honeymoon for a bit. I've got a sick puppy(actually 6yrs old now lol) but since he has some medical problems that recently came up I don't really want to leave him for more then a few days with anyone else. We actually moved our wedding date from 2012 to 2013 because he may have to have surgery and I'm not sure how long the recovery period will be. But I'm sure Hawaii is going to be fabulous. I can't wait to read your trip report when you come back =)

Thanks! We are super pumped and ready to begin our lives of wedded bliss together. It's going to be amazing!

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy dog. We have two dogs of our own (a 9 year ol chihuahua and a 3 year old papillon) so I totally understand how you feel! If either of my puppies had any medical issues, I wouldn't want to be away from them at all! They are more than just pets, they're our first born(s) ;)

That's exactly how we feel I told df unless the baby (puppy) goes we can't go. Plus I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself worrying about him.. Once he's better we can go on a nice long honeymoon.

you know..you could do what we did..we got married at the courthouse and a year later, had the "wedding" on the cruise. Because we were actually married, it counted as a Vow Renewal and was much cheaper (although, I am out of touch on if this is still the case with DCL ). We didn't want to wait the year to be married so it was just us at the courthouse, but it was really intimate and sweet and I am so glad we didn't wait. Took a whole lotta pressure off the wedding day on the ship! LOL

I've thought about that but we've been together for many years already so I figured postponing it by one year more won't be the end of the world. Plus I'll know by the end of April if puppy will need surgery or not. I'm just a big worry wort and don't want to chance him (puppy) not being well while left with someone else. I figure this way some people who didn't think they would be able to go are actually getting to go also by me changing the date. In the end it will be ok. On the plus side we decided that instead of doing one long honeymoon after the cruise for the first year we are going to do a weekend away every month. My mom takes care of my furbaby for me so it will be easier for her to take him or depending on where we go maybe we can take him. Then in 2014 we will do a longer honeymoon. Hopefully by then we've gotten some answers and his medical stuff will be a non-issue.

That is such a clever idea! :thumbsup2

I can completely relate we've been together 12 years now and I've been engaged for the last 9 of them lol. I kept putting it off, once we get out of school, once we get a house, once the bills are all paid. I'm out of excuses so I'm ready now. But I can wait till the cruise =)

It has been for a little bit now. As of 2013 prices go up by $500 for each venue. At the end of the day I think its still worth it to have a very unique event venue with those you love present.

Hi DCL brides!

I am in desperate need of your guidance. Here's my situation: I just got notice from our good friend who is also our WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER that he may not be able to attend our wedding. He is just gotten accepted into the Florida Highway Patrol and maybe sent off to Academy in April. Our sailing is on May 6th!!!! Apparently it's just a rumor but it is a devastating rumor nonetheless! At this point we need to start thinking of emergency plans if worst comes to worst. We were originally going to pay for half of his cruise fare ($300) since he was already going to be on the ship regardless of whether not he was going to take pictures.

At this point were not even sure if we would be able to get Disney photographers to take pictures at our wedding since we are at 55 days away and we have already turned in our planning guide!!!
What the world should we do? Cruise fare for our sailing starts
at least $1500, so even if we do find an outside photographer that is willing to take pictures at our wedding, it would cost is five times as much as we are originally going to spend. What would you do?PLEASE HELP US!
I am sorry to hear this! What did you decide to do? I would do it, but I am on the May 14 sailing. As long as someone in your group has a good DSLR camera, you should be able to get decent shots. And then maybe your photographer friend can still edit them for you :)

For those past brides who have gotten married on the Magic - is there anyone in the salon that you recommend for hair? I have very long hair, and I plan on leaving it down, but I want that "beachy wavy" look. Thanks!
