JANUARY 2010 - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE END OF THE THREAD. PRICES AND OPTIONS HAVE CHANGED SINCE MY VR -

I am about 120ish days from my VR...getting excited!

Alittle history..My DH and I have been together for 11 years and only got married on August 3, 2007. We have a DD who just turned 10..and DH has a son from a previous marriage who is 15.
We had planned a B2B Disney cruise with about 15 friends that we met on a DCL Cruise in 2005 and have stayed close and vacationed with many times. We decided to do a courthouse marriage and then have the "wedding" on the ship where all of our very close friends will be and have a DFTW!!

So..I am working with Cathy..(making her crazy I am sure) and getting ready to send in my packet next week..I am having a hard time choosing music!

So...comeon!! Let's talk about past and future DCL VR's!!:cool1:

I too am doing a VR on DCL (on the Wonder) in September. I am so excited and can't wait for it to hurry and get here. Looks like you are a little ways before me (we have 165 days until we cruise). I love your dress. I have a photo of mine posted on my PJ (link below) along with the flowers I picked. I too am having a hard time with the music. I tried youtubing to find what some of the songs sounded like, but still didn't pick any. I want to get our stuff mailed in so it's done, but haven't done it yet. Also have not picked the cake flavor/filling. I am working with Cathy also (is she the only DCL DFTW person?) I am planning a sand ceremony and have talked to her about that (I was concerned about being able to bring the sand home). Have you read or heard anything about bringing home your flowers and/or cake?

also wanted to say congrats on the 50#!!! Thats amazing. I just started getting serious with trying to get some weight off. I started faithfully working out at our YMCA just over a week ago and I actually really am enjoying it. I just looked into the WISH board and posted there over the weekend, I have to get a little thing posted on my signature.

This is a great site with several of the music clips!

I started last April and other than not being able to work out for several months due to a hernia repair, I am still moving down..made 50.5 this weekend

I picked yellow cake with strawberry mousse..I would love a lemon cake but don't like any of the fillings that would go along

I picked the tropical bouquet for myself, but I am changing the flowers from orange and pink to white and jade roses. Shirley from "The Perfect Gift" is making the bridesmaids and my DD's bouquets

I did see your husbands shirt...you got that on Ebay? I am thinking of going to Tommy Bahama and getting him and DsS matching shirts

Wow, again, congrats, that is wonderful 50# in less than a year. Thanks for the site, I am checking out the music. I want to get my paperworked filled out so I can get it sent in. It is just hubby and I so we don't have others that we need to get their reservation numbers and stuff from. (a little sad about that, but it's ok)

Hey ladies, quick question. Can we do VR at Castaway Cay, or just onboard? I'd really prefer to have it right on the beach, but so far all the PJ's i've seen i think are on board?

Only 2 places you can have the VR..the Catallic Lounge(Wonder)/Sessions(Magic) or on Secret Deck 7

To have it on Secret Deck 7...you must have less than 20 people including B&G
I am at 15! I am so glad that I could have it on deck..because it seems more "Tropical" than a Lounge

:sad1: Darn, i really wanted it on the beach. What do these onboard sites look like? does anyone have any pics?

You can do your VR renewal on the beach at Castaway Cay. That's what my wife and I are doing in August. I read other reports that said they really want it to be weddings, but they gave us no problems at all when we called. In fact, the VR onboard were all booked, but the island was open.

Thank you thank you thank you!! That is wonderful news! You can be sure i'll be calling starting in NOV to get this booked!! :thumbsup2

Hmm..that is very interesting...When I asked about CC..thy said only the two places are allowed to have VR
We will have 3 stops at CC on our B2B so it wasn't for lack of available days

I've seen a TR that they did the VR on Castaway Cay, so it is possible, but I guess it's who you talk to and when things are scheduled.

Well..now poor Cathy will be getting ANOTHER email!!

I have booked the Palo Private Dining room..Found out you can only book for 6pm and 9pm..so I have the 9pm held

I wish some past VR's would pop in..I have so many questions!

I just called DTFW and they said i could have the vow renewal at CC, but it was $1000 more than onboard VR. :goodvibes Yippee!!

I feel like i'm actually starting to plan things!!

Yea, I read that on the DRTW site (pretty sure thats where) that it was another $1000 to have on Castaway Cay. Not sure why so much more, any suggestions. I'd love to have ours there, but can't justify that for just the two of us.

Wow! $1000 more??
Eh..I was thrilled to be on deck 7..I am just sticking there..would rather not ask 15 people to give up part of the day at Castaway..they don't even want to do bunch because we would miss part of the day...even though we are having 3 days there...

I am also getting ready in one of my friends Secret Ver rooms right next to the deck..so treking across the island in July!!

Fall would be cool for standing out at CC!

I'm enjoying reading this thread! I am looking into a DCL wedding for this year and perhaps there are slight differences b/w VR and Weddings on the cruise there isn't that much information on them overall from personal experiences so I appreciate the info you're all sharing!

just spoke to Cathy..
Palo Room - CHECK
Changing rose color in bouquet - CHECK

I'd love to see pics of this Secret Deck 7 if you have some. $1000 is really a lot, but we want it, unless the deck is great.
