Deb, I just checked out your links! You are really talented!!!
Although, two of your pictures made me cry.

She is amazing, isn't she? Which two? I want to be Deb when I grow up.

EARLY 80's!!!! Personally, I would LOVE to see pictures of Brian! And hear the stories!!!! He tells me he was a perfect little angel in college!

Maybe in an alternate universe! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Let's see the first time I met Brian was at Bob & Liz's. We moved in next door to them in married student housing. Brian & Dave were friends of Bob's and they were always together. Liz was a nurse and worked nights. Chuck was a grad student and worked odd hours. I think the first time I went over when they were playing Euchre. That was our favorite pastime. I remember many, many games of Euchre. Dave & Bob were usually partners and Brian was partners with whoever the 4th was. Dave & Bob used table talk and always won. Though, they will never admit it and still haven't to this day!

Silly question. Why is Ebay refered to as Voldemort? (in case this is obvious I've never watched or read Harry Potter but I know the character is from that series!!:rotfl2:) am I right?

I think I can answer that one. People refer to Ebay as Evilbay and Voldemort is evil. And yes he is from Harry Potter.

Thank you so much for those definitions!!! I was thinkling Ok I've been on the DIS boards for awhile here What on earth is CASE??? :lmao:

Just to drive the Moderators crazy! We shall not mention the place that shall not be mentioned! No one likes infractions!:upsidedow

Vicki and Deb, glad to see you guys here! WELCOME!

There are nothing but BRILLIANT and TALENTED people who love to sew for their families and loved ones! It definitely keeps my creative juices flowing!

A couple of terms you might need to know:

CASE = Copy And Steal Everything!
CAB = Coby and Butcher!

:wizard: or Voldemort = EBay

Franken = putting several pieces of different patterns together to make one item of clothing!

I am sure there are others that I missed.

Thanks Tom. I've been wondering about those acronyms. And this is all your fault!!!!!!

I went shopping and YAY my local store had some disney princess flannel on sale for $2/ metre it's normally $16.95/m so you can see why I'm excited :cool1: :woohoo: So now I can at least make the girls some PJ's while I decide on how to do disney clothes :)

They did have lots of quilting cotton on sale too so I grabbed some florals and kiddy prints so I can have a go at some of these funky things before I get the real disney clothes done :)

I've never read Harry Potter, but, as I recall, Voldermort is referred to as "The one who shall not be named" since we are not allowed to talk about Ebay, we were calling it "The site which must not be named" then, someone said we should call it Voldermort (who did that? I don't remember) or :wizard: for short.

Maybe in an alternate universe! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I'm so excited! I bought 2 pillowcases tonight. Heidi picked Aurora and Aleah picked Tinker Bell. They are the ones from Kmart. Then we went to Joanns and the girls picked out fabric. I'm washing it now. I also bought some random trim. I can't wait to make these dresses.

The girls wanted me to buy a Cars pillowcase for Colby, but what would I do with it? Make a giant Lightening McQueen on a t-shirt?

My youngest son's name is Colby too. He loves cars and his room is a Cars room. This is what I did with a Cars Pillowcase

He is sleeping in our room tonight because he is sick so he has no idea I took these photos
ColbysBlankets001.jpg

ColbysBlankets002.jpg

His blankets are all cotton print on one side and fleece on the other. Here is his Donald blanket (Mickey and Friend Hawaiian print, but Donald is his all time favorite character)
ColbysBlankets003.jpg

ColbysBlankets004.jpg

I also made him the Donald Pillowcase to match
ColbysBlankets005.jpg

I used the other half of the pillowcase and framed it in a poster frame and it hangs on the wall above his bed.

What a cute idea for the diapers. I would have never thought of that. ALMOST makes me wish I had some in diapers to do this. ALMOST I said. :rotfl:

i love them though.

I need to find her a blue necklace like Cinderella's now! This is the bow she wanted in her hair and I wasn't going to argue!

OMG! Heather this is fantastic! Tessa looks so beautiful in the dress and so proud that her Mom made it! I love it! Unbelievable details! I love the bird tying on the bow. Holy cow! You totally outdid yourself with this one! You have got to be so proud of yourself! :worship: Not sure if I'm worthy to be in your presence now!

Ok, I am not good at this stuff but here is a onsie I just made for my youngest dd who 1, I am having a hard time finding things for her. A fellow member might be making a twirl skirt to go. I plan on doing all the princesses. What do you think? Please be honest

ETA: STILL NEEDS TO FINISH DRYING

Very cute! You'll have to show us all of them.
 OK here they are....pics of the pillowcase dress and my DD9's outfit.

I loved :lovestruc the whole princess and couldnt bear to cut her head off :scared: for the bodice, so I made it into a huge applique! ;) I made the top big enough to wear for the next year or so in hopes that a Disney vacation will materialize.....popcorn::

th_IMGP4908.jpg

I feel bad for leaving DD4 out so here's pic of her sitting on the bench getting her shoes on this morning..... :rolleyes1

I love the pillowcase shirt/dress and your DD's outfit! Very cute! Glad to see a custom for an older one!

And there you have it. Now I bought three pillow cases (with 2 pics each) and have 5 more tops to do plus any bottoms the girls want. I havent even gotten to the fact that Valentine's and Easter is coming

Hi Amy,

I got the scraps in the mail today!! Thank you so much - Wow - Monsters Inc???? So Exciting!!

Im still looking for some Disney scraps to make my big 40 mickey head sweatshirt and I'd be happy to paypal postage!! They really dont have to be big at all, just big enough to cut out a mickey head out of!!

Thanks So Much!! Wendy

I probably missed it when you were asking for fabric. I've got some extra fabric that is a Mickey print, is that what you were looking for?

Okay, I am not going to keep being a tease;) Here is my latest creation that I cased from someone on this thread, but I am sorry I don't know who! Like I said, I have had this in the works for quite some time!
The Megan:
th_disboutique-2.jpg

Sorry Heather, I had the Tessa but I don't know where it went?:confused3 Maybe I can find it and post later! Okay, and like I said before, don't look to closely at that HORRIBLE ruffle!:scared:

Very cute and I don't notice a horrible ruffle at all! I love that fabric, I saw it at Hobby Lobby and almost bought it but my DH might kill me if I buy anymore before I finish something!:rotfl2:

I wanted to share with you all the kinds of links Teresa sends me from ebay:

VINTAGE Baby / Child BONNET Silk w/ Ferret Heads
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180202824737&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:1123

You really MUST see it! :rotfl2:

What in the He-- is that thing? And why in the world did it have 8 bids on it? And if it makes you feel any better, I forwarded it on to my sister and a friend! Things like this make my day!

I'll throw in a few more :worship: :worship: for you. The dress is spectacular.

That is me as Megara. I made all of the Hercules Family outfits including the stuffed Pegasus head :) The Meg dress was a JcPenny's formal dress that I modified. We had a blast at the Halloween Party and were selected to ride in the Boo Too You Parade. That was in 2005 when they still chose people to ride in the parade.

I also created all of the other costumes in the photos with the exception of the red power ranger. That wasn't my kid :goodvibes I absolutely love to come up with original Halloween Costumes. Someday I'll have to scan all of my old photos in as there are a lot of costumes over the last 15 years.
As you can see my crafty sides floats all over the place. We even designed and built the deck that the Micky Head Lights are on. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Deb

Cute costumes! You're very creative. I saw your Christmas tree costume. I was a Christmas tree too one year! My mom made it (my younger sister was a snowman) and hung ornaments all over me which fell off all night but it was a very cute costume. I don't know if she still has it now that I'm thinking about it. Cute costumes!

Okay, just tried to post this and of course I have too many images. Heather, I had more worship smilies but I have to take them out! Sorry!

Okay, trying again to post but I was still over so I'm cutting out more images. Sorry if good ones get cut!

Great job on the blankets! Good thing for a boy, I'm sure they feel left out if they have sisters who you are sewing for! He sure is a cutie! He looks so sweet sleeping like that! I can't believe he didn't know you took the pictures. Hope he feels better soon.

Those are the boutiquest diapers I have ever seen!!! I love them!!!

Tigger is Brian's favorite too! Mine is Eeyore!

Thanks everyone for your comments on my skirt! Like I said I cased it from someone on here and I wish I knew who it was so I could give them credit! If it was you thank you! It took so long to make because the material was $5.99 a yard and I am cheap so I bought one per week with my 40% off coupon so it took three weeks just to get the fabric!:rotfl: But it was worth all the hassle because I like it and my DD LOVES it! Thanks again for all of you sweet comments.
