I'm back on the wagon! Woohoo  I didn't even snack last night when I was up all night with my little sick-0!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I am working on my THIRD 64 oz-er of Crystal Lite!!!! Slosh Slosh!!

"I'm back on the saddle again..." How's your sick-o doing now? I had a sweet darling come to me saying he was too sick to go to school....SO! Of COURSE I let him stay home from school, BUT, he had to remain IN HIS BED with NO tv, music, video games, books...NOTHING! My kids KNOW not to "play sick" with ME!
He's feeling MUCH beter :thumbsup2

Don't float away!

Yup! I'm a mean mommy too. I also make them go to bed an hour earlier than their regular bedtime when they stay home sick!

Is that a new pic in your signature? Is that you? You (or whoever that woman is ) is so pretty! Can't wait for your friend to join us!

Have a great time! Did you get all of your school projects done?

No!:scared1: I stayed up until 2 in the morning last night working on them.

Then I get up this morning and my DH is sick. So he went to the dr. and sure enough it is strep throat (which he has last month) - not cool!

I just got home from work. I think I made DH very mad at me - when I came in DS has been home (bronchitis) with DH today. Guess what DS had for lunch today - bag of chips and pop tart - DH is very sick, you know and cooking him lunch would have been far too taxing! So DS is starving and I have to fix him some mac and cheese. DH has the nerve (while laying on the couch) to say, "Aren't you going to come over and hug me or give me some sympathy or something.":furious: NOOO, but how about this - I will wash and pack all of your clothes, my clothes and the kids clothes, I will cook dinner tonight and clean, I will do homework with kids, and I will work on my school projects - so you can be sick!

I also told him that I wished just once I could be sick like that. The last time I was sick was like 4 years ago - I had the killer flu. I missed work Friday and was back at work on Monday. While sick, my DH left me with sick DS and went to a football game! Did I get to lay around and let everyone go hungry - no. (that same year I also got the killer stomach bug, running at both ends, while I was directing a jr. high week-long camp. I had to stick it out - play a game, throw up, do the ropes course, throw up, teach a lesson, throw up.) I also told him that if I had strep throat - I would have to suck it up and pack and everything else or we would not be leaving. Well, I won't tell you what his response was - he is not happy with me. I am kind of regretting saying what I was thinking - but I really did give him the nice, filtered version.

Just so foreign to me, moms don't get sick days like that -ever. I guess you can tell I am not a good nurse. And if he is to sick tomorrow - I will be eating his food while I am on vacation and he is at home on the couch. ;)

Good news though, I was so stressed today that I only had a cup of coffee for lunch.

Thanks for listening to the rant, I am going to work on my projects and wash some clothes!

It was a swoop attack, I tell ya! It was a plot to over throw me. They waited until I was posting and had to wait 40 seconds. Then they conspired and swooped in for the kill! I was so close! But I am over it - really I'm okay now and I hold no ill will towards Lynda, really!;)

By the way, I don't know if I have mentioned this yet or not, but I am leaving tomorrow. :rolleyes1

Oh shucks, darn - I guess I will not be able to weigh in. I will be so busy packing and finishing school projects. Darn, I really look forward to that weigh in thing, so I hate I will miss that. I will do a pre and post Disney weight.
Have a wonderful time...eat and be merry!

My 15 year old is a Disney Souvineir!

I still can't believe you didn't name her Daisy or Ariel!

By the way tries to PM you and your mailbox is full!!

You are right!!! How could I have missed the obvious symptoms! And I have heard that manarputz syndrome can be fatal if you do not treat it with 24 hours of bed rest. I think that trumps strep throat. I wonder who will feed the kids and pack tonight now that I am so sick.:confused3

I think I will get an oreo and go lay down. :rotfl2: JK about the oreo. Maybe my maid will finish the washing and packing for me.:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I understand completely...No offense to the grumpythreadhunk, but men s#&k at being sick! But we moms do whatever needs to get done, no matter what. What irks me is when DH says, I'm so tired I'm going to bed now...aren't ya coming? And I look around and realize still need to wash clothes, wash dishes and whatever else at the time. I do all those things before I go to bed. My Dh is very good about doing things around the house, but he just doesn't see all the things that need to be done! Ok my rant is over now! Thanks for listening all of those who made it this far!

yes when my kids ask me "where is so and so shirt/jeans" and I inform them "in the dirty cloths basket" it kills me when they ask "well why" and I have to respond the the Laundry Fairy did not come overnight...:cutie:
they just stare at me like there really is a fairy that does laundry

I feel your pain and have to add my gripe is when I am not feeling 100% and let things slide for a few days and then DH comes in and does it for me and acts all righteous like it was so harsh on him to do it and he made such a sacrifice for us :furious:

and do you know the stupid thing is that I feel ashamed that he had to do it, and I feel like I was slacker(which I was/havebeen cause I'm sick) :headache: cant win for losin'

okay I'm done - back to regular posting

Mo tends to like to drag a basket in at about 9 pm and inform us that she needs her pants washed for tomorrow. After curtsying and saying "Yes Queen Mother" I propmtly wash her laundry....YEAH RIGHT! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
