I wasn't going to get involved in this thread since I feel it's about allowing folks to express their concerns and opinions rather than a response from anyone associated with the show but there a few things I would like to interject. Please understand that I am not trying to negate or bolster anything that has been said so far about the topic the OP brought up or show any preference towards this conversation in any way, but only add some context.
1. I wonder if some of you posting here think those of us on the podcast aren't real. I wonder if some think we are robots or holograms or something. The reason why I speculate this is because if you knew we were real people with real feelings you might not be so quick to be rude and hurtful. Posting that there are no standouts because Charles is gone or that if we all left but Pete it would be OK or that Ryno is the only one worth watching or making fun of someones speech pattern is so very hurtful and mean. You're welcome to your opinion. My opinion is that you are going out of your way to hurt our feelings.
2. Dreams Agents come to us through first filling out an online form to apply. That form does not ask for ethnicity or sex or sexual orientation or religion or political affiliation or anything other than experience and expectations. Once we narrow down the candidates we do a phone interview to make sure they understand the position and to make sure we are a good fit all the way around. The agent is then brought on. We don't meet the applicant or the agent before or during the application or interview process. Only recently have we started in-house training after an agent is brought on and that is the first time we meet in person. We know nothing personal about a new agent at all until we meet them after they are brought on.
3. Morgan is not currently an employee of the DIS or
Dreams Unlimited Travel.
4. The last person hired to be part of the DIS was Deni. Corey read her resume and liked her qualifications. He then did a phone interview and decided she would be a good fit for the job. Only after making that decision did he do an in person interview.
5. No one is ever hired to just be on any of the podcasts; everyone has another role or job within the organization. Initially even the producers weren't hired to be "on" the show. Employees and agents come on the show when the need arises or we feel they would make a good contribution to the discussion. Some of the folks/guests who come on the show are doing so voluntarily without compensation.
As far as bringing on agents and new hires for the DIS I can't think of a more fair process. There is no way of knowing anything about these folks except if we feel they are qualified or not.
I understand and appreciate wanting to feel like you are being represented on the podcast and in our
Dreams Unlimited Travel agents. I am cognizant when the cast of a show or movie lacks gay representation. However we are not a TV show or movie - we aren't "casting" people for the podcast.
If you feel you, or someone you know, would make a good Dreams Agent please have them apply through our online form -

Currently we are not hiring for the DIS but one way to get yourself known by Pete, Corey and others is to be a site contributor and submit articles. That lets them see your passion for Disney and your ability to express that passion. You can become a contributor by writing to
