This is a NO SPELLING POLICE THREAD!

The Spelling Police will be off duty and possibly slurring their own typing by the end of the evening. Typos & illegibility allowed! :woohoo: :drinking: :drinking1 And if your posts are still making sense by hour 3, you aren't sloshed enough.
Or, we are as toasted as you are!

:teacher: A little heads up for newbies: The Red Carpet segment goes really quickly on this thread. People are typing like crazy all at the same time, posting about the different dresses

If you post something or ask a question and it seems to get ignored, :( you are NOT being ignored. Everyone is just watching, typing & posting so quickly before the dress goes off the screen. We do most of the reading, scrolling back & posting back to each others' comments during the COMMERCIALS! :surfweb: Your posts will get a response then. :hyper2:

Once the show starts, it slows down to a more comfortable pace. Just hang in with us! It's going to be a great evening. :hyper2: :lmao:  :sad2: :thumbsup2

I'm fighting the flu so I might not be awake  but I'm rooting for Chernobyl. Thanks for the invite!

I was just coming back to edit my post, lol...why purple?

It's political. We can't really get into it. :headache:

Regardless of what I think of the issue, I don't agree with hijacking the red carpet for political causes. :(

Although, now, a lot of stars will be able to wear red dresses and not blend in with the carpet.

Will you DM me the reason? Everything I’ve heard is they’re evoking the feeling of royalty.

I thought Laverne Cox, the first one interviewed brought it up? She was dressed head to toe in purple and talked about a Supreme court ACLU ruling which greatly affects the LGBTQ community, coming up on Oct 8, that they are protesting - and we can't get into here.

I like Sterling in red. But, on my TV, he & his wife don't really color coordinate? Their colors are both "off"? Not really red and not really blue.

Not a fan of the red tuxes, but it looks so much better on Sterling K. Brown than it does on James Van Der Beek. The all red on James isn’t good!
