I’m telling you , that was my MIL TO A BLOODY T. .
I get it know sorry, took my pain Pill
Your MIL must have been a pistol to be around. Did you get along with her?

At the beginning, well, I was an Irish girl (quiet), but marrying into a large Italian (loud) family, and She was a pistol.
I’ll admit, it took a while, but we became extremely close. Went to the casino together, vacation, we did a lot together. She used to lie to my FIL that we wanted her to babysit, so she could go to the casino all night, and if I didn’t go, she’d crash here and show up at 4-5am
I just finished watching the interview. I repeatedly went through
That Vegas mayor...Yikes! I've got $20 that says she's a mean drunk.
Just know none of us appreciate her volunteering us for this experiment. I fully believe we could have easily become another New York had we not shut down when we did. As I’ve pointed out in other threads it’s more fiscally responsible to stay closed than to have casinos open with no business. IMO The Strip will be the last thing to open here.I noticed how she said how there was no control group city and she wanted to volunteer her city to be a control city. We already have one. NYC. And none of us volunteered to be it. And the results are that WE NYers flattened the curve with OUR actions. So we know what works.
Our governor has been saying the last couple days that the worst scenario would have been that we all stayed home, socially distanced, wore face masks, and washed our hands and the death toll kept going up no matter what we did, instead of it going down. The curve hasn't been flattening on it's own. Amidst grumblings & protests, he said at the news briefing yesterday that we must stay the course for a while longer. We can't take actions to set us back. In typical Queens, NY, upfront, in your face, as plain as day language, he posted what may be our new state motto, "Can't Be Stupid." I hope it becomes a hashtag: #Can'tBeStupid
I guess he wasn't just talking to us, Las Vegas Mayor Goodwin.
