My trip's supposed to be in two weeks, but it appears that it may get postponed / canceled.
I think healthcare organizations around the world have acted well against the virus, but thanks to all the hyping that the media has done, my Df's mother is convinced that her son will most likely get the virus if we go on our trip.
Of course, judging by the number of cases so far, if the decision was up to me, I'd be cheerfully making last minute ADRs and planning my trip itinerary. Sigh. I know that parents worry, and it makes me feel like a ***** for wanting to swipe out at her for jeopardizing our engagement trip, but I've been dreaming about this trip for years and I've been planning it for months.
Sorry, just had to rant.
Anyway, I was just wondering. So far, the number of H1N1 cases keep increasing, but what's the recovery rate like? From my digging of news, I've the impression that everyone's worried about the rise in new cases in various parts of the world but out of all the cases so far, how many are currently still plagued by the illness? It seems like quite a number have recovered and the virus is relatively mild. Does anyone know?
I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that pixie dust will carry me through. Back to monitoring the news.
