Thank you all for your good thoughts. It was a good trip. It was the boys 3rd trip there, Natalie's 5th. Must be about 35 for me, haha. Not holding out much hope for Marie ever returning. She gave us all a great big
when we left, LOL
When I took the boys on their first 2 trips there, a good number of folks here on the cb asked me to make sure and post pictures when we returned. I never did.
So this time I thought I better get some up.
While typing up this post, I went back to our spring 2013 trip, will post a few pictures below. Most are marginal quality, but good memories.
We did get to see KimRaye on our first night there, along with her daughter Kelly. Had burgers and ice creams at Beaches & Cream, a good start to our trip. Goodness, Kelly has grown up so much from last time I saw here when she was maybe 8 years old, now 19 and in college. Great seeing dis folks from so many past meetings in years past.
loved them, glad to see the good times are still rolling strong for you and your family
Still rolling, Jason, thanks.
Did you stay at the Swan or Dolphin?
The Swan. All renovation is complete, looks great. Always a good stay.
I LOVE how much you enjoy Disney with them.
I do love Disney World, and even better with the boys and Natalie.
I enjoyed meeting them a couple of years ago.
That was a good day, Cindy. maybe again sometime in the future. I think I have seen you 2, maybe 3 times there at WDW?
I'm glad that the new knee is working well
It's working well, thanks. Weak back does me in though, still needed a
scooter with as tiring as the back makes me. But the new knee is fine.
What airline is that? Those seats look big and comfy!!
United. It is first class. At 6'6" and 73 years old, no way can I fit in the regular economy seating. If I upgraded to economy plus, business economy or class name du jour, I would be about $50-75 less than first, including checked bags charges. Makes good sense to pop for the difference. I used to fly Midwest Airlines out of Milwaukee, until they morphed into Air Tran. Midwest used to have all first class seating at economy pricing, then had 'signature' seating (same as first, at a nominal upcharge). Air Tran had the same. With Air Tran now gone, almost no choice for compatible seating.
Natalie is very tenacious woman to blow dry all those curls straight in FL humidity.
Alice! Great to see you. Hope all has been well. No more did meets in the area I guess.
I do like her natural curls better, but she will do the blow dryer at times. She looks good regardless.
That humidity can do a number on anybody though.
Do you still fly out of Milwaukee?
No. With Midwest and Air Tran gone, no reason. Legacy airlines are less costly out of O'Hare, along with greater choice of times. I sure do miss those two airlines though.
Guess that must make me one of the 'old timers' now.
I think so, Lynn.
Nice to see you.
Your grandsons are getting so big but not sure if any will get as tall as you!!
As adoptive parents here, the boys don't carry our genes, but their dad is fairly tall (not as tall as me), so we'll have to see. Your boys are tall, if I recall correctly, Kitty?
Can't wait to take our grand daughter to WDW!
You will love it, Scott. A whole new world. Hope all is well with you, Pam and Elly.
I miss your posts, my friend. So great to "see" you
Great to see you too, Stacey. I used to really enjoy posting here on the cb so many years ago, not too often now.
